My Dad was out with Will Millar yesterday for lunch. He's back in Northern Ireland for a few days. :-)

In the fall, roast chicken, duck, goose, pork, beef didn't matter what creature.... Mom had the mashed potatoes, gravy, creamed corn or boiled carrotts, baking powder biscuits with real butter an honey and Dad's baked beans and bacon! us kids on the floor in the living room and the folks at the coffee table for the Irish Rovers Show, great times....

Irish rovers are the best old songs and new, you can't beat the best songs, that were created way back when

I live about 4 blocks from there! I'll never forget the Rovers.

I remembered as a little girl living in New Hampshire, WCSH-TV Channel 6 out of Portland ,Maine (NBC) used to air The Irish Rovers on Saturday afternoons back in the early 1980's. So cool and thank you for posting it! :) Anita Augenti

I wish their first show was available.

Would love to see their original 1970s show on DVD. CBC owns the copyright, so any Irish Rovers fans here should either start or sign an online petition & forward it to the CBC. Maybe that way, we could at least get 1 or 2 seasons available. Would be great to see those wonderful old shows again, and these guys in their prime.

I saw them in concert back in 1987 in Newfoundland; it was the most fun I had at a concert EVER! :) I remember those shows on CBC too; I watched them with my Mom and Dad (both of whom have since passed) every weekend. You've brought back some good memories. Thank you again!

The 2nd one, 'Down in the Devil's Den', is on the CD 'Party with the Rovers' (1985). I think it's available on EBay.

John Divney what the hell these songs are not there own except the second only there preserving the 200 year old songs who the hell are you to say not a bitter soul you must be appreciate the beauty of life if not why are you listening to this expect to fuel your own negative ego your not going find enjoyment that way
