She designs clothes no one wears.... she is by no means a designer and much less “the best designer”. She’s an artist who likes using clothes and fabric-like materials as her medium and dabbles with very interesting engineering, but a fashion designer? Not in the least bit. Sorry to break it to you...

Iris for me is like Alexander McQueen's lady version.

at the end of the video she kissed the model's hand, it's so touching

everything is so delicate and fragile, yet so strong and structured. it just leaves you in awe Some of the most talented designers are those that come from other backgrounds like architecture, engineering, etc.

Every once in a while, in the immense world of fashion, you suddenly find a designer that makes you say, "Yes! THIS resonates with me, personally.", and you are transfixed. She is one of the few for me. I think she's brilliantly intuitive.

Remarkable feat in turning unimaginable shapes into dreamy, custom-fit, wearable 3D clothes that is a showpiece for every piece. Her eye for style is well balanced without turning her designs into weird art pieces specifically for the runway. Definitely wearable.

She is the ZAHA HADID in the fashion industry 😻😻😻

I personally feel like Zaha tended to be a bit heavy handed in her approach. Perhaps Shigeru Ban is a better analogy.

I saw her work first time 2 years ago. The second I saw it..i knew instinctively this woman is going to completely change fashion. Such a brilliant eye an artist to remember and leave an impression. These are not clothes they are living things. Absolutely remarkable work!!!!

her work is pure art. I love the way she combines technology and fashion to design these organic look alike dresses. PERFECTION!

If McQueen presented us with savage beauty, Iris shows us, Exquisite beauty.

OMG...what did I just watch? The pieces were like watching a jellyfish ballet or maybe extra terrestrial looking for their lost ship. Like they should have had their own language that sounded like high-pitch squeals and clicks. That was next level. Each piece was literally built. I can't imagine the effort it took for the designer to convey a vision of that magnitudes her team to then carry it to fruition. A true genius!

hands down IVH is a genius and only a handful of fashion designers who are also fashion architects. She is in this extremely rare company together with: thierry mugler jean-paul gaultier yohji yamamoto gianni versace ❤️❤️❤️❤️😍

So futuristic and out of this world creations. She got such a great talent and far sighted approach.

This is the most beautiful and inspirational thing I’ve seen for a very long time. I always felt that garments were dead without a person in them, but the garments shown here are so alive already - they also cry out to be touched. I’m not connected to the fashion industry in any way (I’m a graphic designer) but I find her work so inspiring, I’d love to work with such a groundbreaking person. Beautiful!

This made me wonder how many percent did she ever used her brain, to think of these designs and make them came alive. It’s beyond believable

I've always imagined my wedding dress to be super wavy, structured, and edgy just like her work. I always get annoyed thinking about how fashion is stuck instead of moving forward. So good that I live in the same era as this designer. I can't buy her clothes but I hope she changes fashion in the future.

The true meaning of haute couture. Unfortunately so many artists are unable to truly create what they want because of greedy corporations who only care about what will sell. I'm so thankful IVH has been able to innovate freely and support herself + her staff while doing so.

Les gens qui ont mis des pouces en bas ne comprenne rien a l'art de la mode de toutes ces créations Dior , et autres maison comme Chanel par exemple ou d'autres , elles sont si précieuse si magnifique , si rare ce sont des joyaux de collection très précieuse toutes ces robes , fabriquer avec de jolie matériaux , naturelle tel que la soie , la flanelle et autres tissus d'une rareté éclatante , c'est d'ailleurs pour cela qu'elle valents toutes des millions ces robes de toutes ces collections haute couture . Elles sont si belles !!!!! J'admire beaucoup la maison Dior et l'histoire de Mr Dior et ses création qui prenne beaucoup de temps à réalisé . It's like looking at wonderful aquatic creatures I all their splendour n glory. Mesmerizing n mind boggling at the same time. I'm in awe of Iris's mind, the sheer brilliance astounds me. The complexity, versatility, neatness, attention to the most miniscule detail and the imagination of her mind which is splayed in all her couture is at another level. I only recently started making a lot of clothes, and more complicated constructions and techniques. Before that I could not have even begun to have an understanding or appreciate clothing design and construction. Things look simple and straight forward when we look at clothing, but to create it from nothing is anything but straightforward or simple. And this is on a whole other level from other complex constructions. Really incredible.

It’s beyond imagination. Her work is like the earth and the cosmos mixed together.
