It is the fusion of Arabic, Sassanian, Classic Persian, Byzantine, Turkic influences in the architecture and palaces in which it gets its name (half of the world) and what makes it so beautiful! One of the most famous dishes in the world, Biryani, is from Esfahan! I am originally from Shiraz but my favourite city is still Esfahan! ❤

Tehran is a very crowded city with almost 19 Million Population which includes Suburbs. Isfahan is a Historic city built like this 550 years ago and is registered as a World Heritage example. It was built By Shah ABBAS Safavi gradually during the Renaissance Period of Italy. The King was an enlightened person and paid great attention to City Building.

Tehran is a relatively new city, where Isfahan goes much farther back in history. Tehran was nothing more than a small village until Agha Mohammad Khan Qajar chose it as his capital after becoming Shah in 1897.
