IRAN | Exploring ARMENIAN Quarter As Azerbaijani 🇮🇷

While I was in Isfahan, I learned about the Armenian quarter in the center of the 3rd biggest city in Iran. Since I will never be able to go to Armenia with my passport, I allowed myself to go to this part of the city for the experience and visit Armenian church.

Soon after the Iranian Revolution happened the muslims took power and began executing some of the Christians. They replaced some of the school teachers with strict Islamic teaching. One young Christian girl complained in school one day that the teacher was teaching Islam in a class that was supposed to be algebra. The young girl was taken away to Evin prison and tortured for days. Then she was taken out to a yard, blindfolded, tied to a post, and about to be shot but she was pretty so a muslim man said that if she became a muslim and married him she would live. So she became a muslim and had to marry him. She eventually escaped to Canada. The "indoctrination" you get in the west about Iran doesn't even cover half of it.

Hi Davud, I'm Armenian and I live in Prague like you used to do. Believe me, Armenian people do not want war, and we do not want to see our and your young soldiers dying. You mention in your video you got your lands back. And you make it very clear that for Azerbaijanis this is about lands. For Aemenians the conflict is about human rights, not land. Those Armenians living in NK have the right to live on their ancestral land, to visit their churches and ancestors' graves at local cemeteries, all while living a dignified life where their rights are respected and their culture is not destroyed. If our communities listen to each other, and not just rely on corrupt politicians who only want more power, we'd be able to find a solution. If you want to understand Armenians, you need to look at the conflict as a human rights issue, and not a territorial issue. Armenians living in Armenia and in NK objectively enjoy more freedom and respect for their right than many Azerbaijanis in territories controlled by your government. Noone wants to live under a dictatorship that wants to ethnically clense you. As an Armenian i want to say that i don't view Azerbaijanis as my enemies, i view the Azeri dictatorial clan as my enemies. I encourage you to join dialogue with Armenians to explore the true complexity of the story and not just Aliyev's propaganda. Try Bright Garden Voices on Instagram for starters. Armenians and Azerbaijanis have incredibly deep and touching conversations there.

I do not think that for Armenians the conflict is about human rights. Your vision of the conflict is typical for Armenian politicians, who serve the interests of the big powers. Armenians must bother about human rights in what is called today Armenia. What about the rights of Azerbaijanians? Can you show one single Azerbaijani in Armenia? Over 300 mosques in Armenia and 65 out of 67 mosques in Karabakh were destroyed by Armenians. The stair steps of the Armenian church built in Shusha during the occupation are made of marble tombstones stolen from an Azerbaijani cemetery. All cemeteries in occupied territories were destroyed and the tombstones were sold to Iran as construction materials. Take notice that the war activities went on Azerbaijani lands, not in Armenia. I do not think that you have the right to talk about human rights and all bla-bla-bla about the dictatorship of the Aliev clan is nothing but worthless propaganda after the shameful defeat in the second Karabakh war. No one raised the issue of human rights over the past 30 years when Azerbaijani lands were occupied and 1 mln people were displaced. I am absolutely convinced that the Azerbaijanis have nothing to talk about with the Armenians. There is only one topic for conversation: recognition of the aggressor and compensation, an official apology to the Azerbaijani people for all the crimes committed against the people and state of Azerbaijan.

That's how they behave in private but in public and in official capacity they don't have the guts to state such a thing because they have to fool the world, the superpowers in particular, to falsely portray themselves as democratic and civilized in order to get their assistance and business investments. When they talk about their "tolerance" the only people they so cunningly mention are the Jews because they have power and influence in the world which they can exploit. They are experts in fooling the world with their con games by acting as sympathizers to victimized Jews WHILE at the same time victimizing other people. They never mention their "tolerance" toward the indigenous populations they are oppressing. The indigenous populations such as the Talysh, Lezgis, Avars, Tats, and Udis under their subjugation. There is neither "tolerance" nor "democracy" in this artificially invented gas station disguised as a country. I hope to see you realize the respect and protective attitude that Iran and Iranians give to other ethnic groups in their country and I hope that would reflect positively to Azeri nation's understanding that neighbors will always be neighbors and no hatred should divide them. Throwing my two cents about historical background I say, that Iranian/Persian and Armenian fellowship goes back over 2000 years and many Iranians today have very similar names as Armenians and share the same bloodline. Iranians and Armenians are blood relatives. I am however very happy to see you being very respectful and humble when you entered the Armenian church. Isfahan is living proof that how Persians, Azerbaijanis, and Armenians have lived side by side for centuries and made an amazing city with each other, it is a representation that how Armenians and Azerbaijanis from Iran are friends with each other and live in peace along with other ethnic groups like Persians Kurds and ect,I hope all our brothers in Azerbaijan and Armenia see this viewpoint and understand why Iranians see the conflict differently from you guys, of course the history of conflicts and wars between Armenia and Azerbaijan is undeniable and I respect to all people who lost their lives in those wars but I really hope for peace between these 2 countries in future because the majority of Iranians see both countries as brothers and not anything else, Persians,Armenians , Azerbaijanis, Georgians, and Kurds have made a powerful empire during Safavids by living in peace and working together, if you read the Safavid history you can see powerful figures from all of these ethnic groups. I hope all nations understand this in future and try to work together again

Is that why Armenians were deported from Armenia to Isfahan in order to bring more Muslim/Turks to Armenia/Yerevan...during Shah Abbas? Iran is partly responsible for the war we have with these people that came and took our lands during Persian rule

@@axiosw0774 actually no , firstly shah abbas was turk(safavids were turks in general) himself secondly the armenians who came to Isfahan under his order were from jolfa and nakhjavan mostly and they left because their lives were threatend by ottomans and they were amazing traders so they moved from jolfa near tabriz to Isfahan with an agreement with shah abbas to preserve their religion and language and were given high positions in safavid court they even named their new settlement in Isfahan after their motherland jolfa, the conflict between armenians and turks first happened between ottomans and armenians living in turkey and then under ussr rulling and stalin orders ,Iranian turkish ruller were never bad with armenians unlike ottomans , and persians were rulling before Islam and had good releationship with armenia I think even first armenian king were from parthian ancestry himself ,at the time it was only roman empire and persian empire and turks were not yet in anatolia , the only conflict between persians and armnians were during sasanid empire after armenians convert to christianity which was forbbiden by sasanid king so they had a war I guess, turk first came to Iran during sasanids and after Islam with seljuqs they came to anatolia and became rullers there, shah abbas dispositions were not only about armenians he moved many kurd and lor tribes from west to east as well and had made many georgians and persians to move some where else as were, he was not perfect but much better than ottomans

@@meggieqin8496 I can't comment much about shah abbas yet, I don't know all his dealings and Iran at the time But you are right about everything, I messed up some stuff, but the point is that when those Armenians left from Nakhijevan and other parts like Yerevan - for whatever reason, the area was populated by azeri turks and also because of the fact that Russian empire was closing in, they wanted more Muslim population in the region to fight against Christians When the first Ottoman massacre starts around 1800s, many realize and start to move out to Russian empire territory of Krasnodar and so on, when the Russians defeat Iranians they allow the Armenians to come back as they rather have a Christian populated front, this is where issues start Armenians from Iran/Ottoman empire come back and things flare up, but because Russian empire controls them, its ok, Russians basically allow Armenians to get back what's theirs for their own reasons of course and create azerbaijan as a state/province for turkic/tatar/muslim people living in the area taking the same name of azerbaijan from Iran, as the province gets divided The turks of Iran actually do start having issues with Armenians too, not in Iran of course because Armenians don't live in Azerbaijan province of Iran After the genocide in 1915, more Armenians flee to the eastern Armenia, and turks have more issues with "Armenians" taking over, when in fact Armenians are just fleeing to eastern Armenia basically, in 1918 the new republic of turkey declares war on 1st Republic of Armenia, where Armenians manage to win big battles, azeri turks of course take the turkish side and start to pillage and kill Armenians Now soviet union comes down and takes azerbaijan then Armenia, the rest is pretty clear after To say Iranian turks have no issue with Armenians is a lie, because azerbaijan is Iranian turks (the country I mean) Its a tough situation, but I think land should belong to the rightful people who lived there and had a country first, not migrants, borders should be established properly and there is no reason why Azerbaijan - country has Nakhijevan enclave, and plus wants Artsakh as well and nowadays Syunik region also - I'm not even talking about western Armenia under turkey taken by war and genocide from 1914-1918 periods

Is there any doubt that compared to Who One Shares A Nation/Nationality With, it is negligible Who One Marries/Who Is One's Spouse (assuming that Mankind is an order of units which [when mentally competent in a world where any of them are UNDERSTOOD TO BE free] believe that they exist within their own lifespans)? Is there any doubt that the previous question brought up within our conversation addresses the psychosocial "fallout" which is a product of none of us being Genghis Khan (which unarguably has a bigger impact today than any of us Being Genghis/Chinggis Khaan)?
