They are called what dirt road drivers called “grip strips” it’s at every rx track as we try to find the fine line through those to gain much time like shown as that’s why there can be much separation in the times in rallycross splits the grip strips are grass, gravel, asphalt, and concrete

​@w1nd807 yup! Beau Albert has been complaining since 2020 pro series Q and nothing had changed... cars are borked, tracks are borked, racing surfaces are borked and there's no change except for a "pls don't don't that" with 0 consequences

tbh if they are getting the slow down they are messing it up. You can run 41s without getting the slow down to trigger.@@DJYeeJay

And people on the forums are legitimately trying to argue against slow down penalties and here its actually straight up working

that track has had that problem for at least 3 years now, if not longer.

Nice to see me home state actually getting recognition, I never see anything AZ related in racing games

I'm glad somebody made a video on this. I like running these because they're short and fun, actually got into them because of JBo. But God I hate racing them here because somebody is gonna cut that second right in the dirt. I wish iRacing would make the slowdown longer so you'd actually have to slow down.

@@DJYeeJay I think so too, I've slid too far over before and it'll clear itself by turn 2. But you know if someone is using the exploit because it won't count the lap for them if they cross the line with the slowdown. I did a race yesterday and led half the laps running 2nd all race.

you can cut there without getting a slow down, and be just as fast or faster. If you are getting the slow down, you are doing it wrong.

Quality iracing short. This is what we need to take this game to the masses

If the subscription got you everything in the game people would never play another Sim. iRacing is just a turn off when you spend 500-1000 dollars on gear and a subscription only to find out you don't even have access to a full game.

@@user-qi1rc1un8oI agree, the whole need subscription AND need to buy the tracks/cars stacks up pretty fast. Also not being able to try them out before buying is pretty dang ridiculous. Will say the “free” cars and tracks on base game is still plenty to enjoy. The online is great too, especially with their protest system. Hardly get the really bad apples.

This is why I choose not to race the pro 2 lites. There needs to be 1x or 2x Inc's anytime a tire touches the paved portions of the track when the tires should obviously be on the dirt. It's simply too easy to gain an advantage over the competitors who otherwise don't know about the differences in grip.

That’s actually how you’re supposed to race that track though, you just have to actually try so you don’t get slowdown penalties. The fastest legitimate line around the track gets you down to 42 second laps, but most people are gonna be in the 45 second range because they overshoot the last few corners.

Jbo also passed 2 cars under the yellow line at dega and thought it was ok.... so

This is old, like old old. You can do the hump then huh the wall on the inside and gain about 5 seconds, iRacing won’t fix it

@ErikSekse let's say 50 million gamers world wide, 20 million are into Sims like this and the 30 million just wanna game and relax and couldn't care less. I play DCS with a hotas and flight stick, think I try to fly properly? Nope. Unlimited fuel, crashing all the time, still don't care about coordinates yelled at me on the mic. Why? Cause I'm their to have fun not learn to fly an f16 professionally. If I wanted to be a pilot I would go to pilot school, that's what I'm getting at.

Not cheating but misusing game exploits. And if they're penalized for it in-game, it's not even an exploit. Its a calculated risk, how much time do you gain vs. how much time do you got as a penalty.

It should also be noted that the people who host IRacing actually physically watch these races and judge each one, and will make adjustments to penalties depending on driving styles, nothing can be exploited, Which is why this game is so expensive

And you would be one who cheats because you think it’s a game. It’s not. It’s a sim. There is a big difference. It’s ok to be slow but it’s not ok to cheat in any game/sim. You will be banned from all games/sims for that. Have fun never playing again.
