  I am a 7k iRating driver and if I couldn't race in VR I would quit the sim. Pancake racing is so boring. It is like looking at a car racing on a flat screen, whereas VR you are 'inside' the car.

  Dude there's soooo many tracks now. Seems like every other week there's a track I don't own now in my 4 main series. I've been an iRacing user since 2009 and I've bought SO many fucking tracks man. Now my favorite series are going to like.....Algarve? I don't care about that shit. Give me Suzuka or Watkins Glen

  I just started sim racing 2 weeks ago and it took me a week to get the "I'm a good driver, why am I being punished" mentality out of my head. After that I started doing better, but I determined that to get better I'd stay in the rookie races for a while because if you can get to the point where you can avoid the chaos with low incidents every race then you're ready to move up.

  Crystal is bad for racing because its FOV is low and so it doesn't give you the peripheral vison that you sorely needed for racing. You don't get enough information on the sides and you're forced to look ahead in a tunnels which can get tiresome. I been there, test it and know what it feels like. For VR to be immersive, the headset need to be wide FOV and also light weight.

  I had a g920 with a next level racing wheel stand light as my first rig. It was awesome, that alone got me hooked on sim racing but you start to notice the weak points after a while. I got a better job and recently splurged on my dream setup for my 26th birthday and it was probably the best money I’ve spent and I do not regret it. New setup: Moza R9 XP1 pedals GT1 EVO rig FSR wheel NRG Seat I say all that to say, I love my new setup but do not get it twisted I had so much fun on the G920 and I actually still want one just for nostalgia lol

  Every kid is going to do sim racing as a child at this point it’s really not that crazy. The whole “ VIDEO GAMES TO VICTORY LANE” aspect is stupid. You can’t tell me this kid didn’t have funding.

  My issue is, i can't afford a wheel or any setup by controller. So i can do tire savings etc. But doing so i end up a bit slower. Usually a 5th to 15th finish. Honestly can't complain. Just hope to get better eventually

  I have vr and triples… but I rarely use vr. Can only really get away with it late at night after the wife and kids are in bed. Plus other reasons… mostly I can’t get used to vr “world” for menus and general pc use. If they made a headset that had really good pass through where I could still just use my desktop with k&b without having to flip the headset up and down that would be a game changer for me.

  I have no problems in vr, but I always have inside car view. Are they the same people who race with the outside car view?
