#4 started from the inside line and so only needs to pass the inside line on the right, not the outside line as well. People talking about being at that level and not knowing the rules, highlighting the fact that they don't know the rules themselves was pretty funny.

I appreciate it! I’d like to as well, but they take a lot of time to make. Hopefully next season I can get a couple out again.

For a game as expensive as iracing, you'd think the people that play it would take it ultra seriously and try to be as perfect as possible with it. I couldn't imagine spending hundreds to thousands of dollars just to screw around.

I know these videos only capture a small portion of the iRacing experience LOL but it looks like if I wanted to pay a little over a hundred bucks a year to be aggravated out of my mind iRacing would be an option. 😅 I put up with endless aggravation all week long at my job AND I get paid for it, so I think I’ll pass.

@@speedweaks I think the more people we can reach with this type of content the better it is for all our channels and the iRacing community in general! In the end we can’t make these videos in the same timeframe people consume them.

When someone’s talking and there car is on screen you should put a little mic overhead of the car so we can get a better idea on who is who. Otherwise amazing videos so far! Subscribed.

I like this idea! I’ve experimented a bit with showing the number of the car talking above it when it wasn’t the main one in focus, but didn’t find a way to make it clear / decent looking. This might be a good option, thank you!

There's a good case for iracing muting all mics once the race starts. Then the entertainment starts when they open the mics again at race end !!

If iRacing would mute them by default you’d miss out on most of it, since not everyone makes it till the end. There is an in game option for it though

You can't be above pace speed on the green flag. If you catch the field from the pits on green with a huge amount of overtake you have to tuck in the back of the field anyway

I remember Kyle Busch having done it, but no idea what the current rules are. You won’t get a black flag for it, but it could be that iRacing enforces it with a repot.

​@@iRagingOfficial The official NASCAR rule is "Passing is not permitted until the leader of the race crosses the start-finish line. Lane changes are also not permitted until after a car clears the finish line." Which means it's not possible as you would need to get out of your lane to pass someone. I'm sure it would be ruled a failed start if it happened today. As far as iRacing, it's definitely illegal based on sporting code 6.8.2.5. "Drivers are not allowed to approach the start/finish line as a race transitions from pacing, for example under yellow flag or at the start of a race, to speeds that are well beyond the pacing speed or speed of the leaders in an attempt to time the green flag to unfairly overtake other cars. An example of this would be to come up behind and catch a pack of cars pacing at 80 mph under yellow flag conditions at a speed of 150 mph in the vicinity of the start/finish line just as the race goes to green flag, and passing those cars. Under those conditions, the car catching up to the field from behind should slow down and get in line at the back of the pack at pacing speed and then begin racing as normal once the green flag is given."

Good to know! To be honest, I’ve used this exploit a couple times as well, since you won’t get black flagged for it - if done right. Seeing how clear the sporting code is about it, iRacing can (and probably) will enforce it, if reported by someone.

Most people wouldn't. These are all official ranked races, so it'll impact them the most if they do.

Apologies go a long way. Could save you from retaliation from a person who doesn’t give a shit about being “protested”.

Such toxic people its still just a game no diffrent then any other game

I've run like 6 iraces this winter. The first 4 asphalt races I tried being nice and clean and got driven over. Tried to race dirt late models and they handle like fucking dog shit. Decided to just work on my real racecar and play with my rc cars until the season starts. This winter is the least I've played iracing since like 2009.
