I recommend you to learn kárate, kick boxing or Muay Thai before and after that learning self defense.

Another demonstration of why North American cops do not leave the chamber empty. When I need my pistol, I need it loaded, chambered and ready to fire. No time for cycling with the support hand, if the support hand is free or even functional. An empty chamber makes it a paper weight or impact weapon until the slide is cycled. The average street cop does not and will not have the skills to hold down a fully grown adult male who is resisting or combative with one arm and be able to cycle their weapon at the same time. I.e. I have pinned a suspects arm between us and he is holding a knife in that hand. When I draw, I need it to fire. No cycling the action.

I agree; the thing is that different jurisdictions have different protocols, chambered or not is known as "condition 1" or "condition 2" and they train accordingly. Chambered is safer for the Officer ready to act but, not so much for the rest of the community around him.

Yo pienso que en los entrenamientos queda muy bonito porque como el oponente colabora te sale un movimiento muy limpio, pero en la calle es igual de efectivo, solo que no saldrá tan fluido y tendrás que aplicar mucha más fuerza, aunque todo depende de cuanto lo hayas entrenado...

It is realistic. Trust me. Of course on the slippery sidewalk it's not the same as on the carpet, not so sleek and so on, but these techniques work. I've used them in real life. It's always stupid to boast about some martial arts, and how good you are. Better to calm yourself, but if necessary, then you use your skills. And even then carefully. Otherwise you may find yourself in a very surprising place in courtroom. This is not for Allan Chad, but for everyone who is interested in martial arts.

esto en una pelea real no sirve, si no en todos los combates de la ufc actuarían así, para lo que si puede ser util es para porteros de discoteca que se dedican a sacar borrachos fuera sin golpearlos

La demostracion es para agentes de policia o seguridad; si se opone a ellos, lo ponen mas tiempo en la carcel : )
que buenas tecnicas son buenisinas mi instructor muchas tecnicas de esas haa por eso me parecian conocidas esta mi instructor raul gutierres el es principal intructor de esas tecnicas saludos desde chile ..
