Thank you! I was worried because as far as I remember my Ipad used to charge above 80 percent but now it doesn't. I noticed that after restarting my ipad, I could see the battery percentage increased. Is this normal too? I bought my ipad just few months back and I am really concerned about it. Should I get it checked? And should I turn off the optimisation feature once to check wether it's charging upto full or not?

If your iPhone only stops charging at 80% sometimes, it’s most likely due to a feature Apple implemented to extend the life of your iPhone battery. Apple introduced a battery optimization feature in iOS that slows down how your iPhone charging, and even holds it at 80% to prevent over stressing the battery.

I’m a truck driver and I was driving from Pennsylvania to Michigan, I started driving at 5:07pm and decided to charge my iphone 12 pro an hour and half goes by and it charged up to 80% and I stopped driving 2:15am the next day and it still was at 80%.

I just bought a 12 Pro Max and this really made anxious. I thought the phone I bought was broken.

Bruh!!! The video was really important and really thankful for the content. My problem was not chargeing over 81% but it showed something service error on my battery health of my iphone xs and also wasnt charging over 20% and the phone was being over heat. WHAT YOU DID SOLVED MY PROBLEM THANK YOU SO MUCH

How to fix the same issue in ipad mini 5?

Is this function useful? Cuz i bought my 11 pro max just above 1 month but my battery capacity dropped to 97% now due to the optimize charging things like they learn about our routine just when I charged at the wrong it won’t go pass 80% so i have to force myself to uncharged it every time.

from my personal experience its useful so far with XR or iPhones with close to 3000 mAh battery capactiy. but for smaller capacity battery iPhones, 80% wont be good for all day. and manually managing it is also not possible. But to maintain battery health its recommended to charge it slowly and apple does it with the help of optimised charging feature.
