Lover Of Tech Samsung has been better than iPhone for 5 years now. Why are people still comparing them. Samsung is on its own level. Alone. IPhone just has APPLE so it's easy to get kids to buy it. And the software is easy to use. Android is better than iOS. Apple is better than Samsung. Samsung and Android are 2 different companies. Apple and iPhone are 1. Stop comparing them please.

Abhishek Pathak I like the fact that the screen stretches edge to edge. It’s better than having a black bar at the top. Why would anyone not want more screen space. A huge camera bump....that is eliminated when you put a case on it, and a camera that is by far superior over the Note8. I really like the look of the X. If it had a dumb black bar at the top I would be so annoyed.

flizzy, compared to the i phone 8 the samsung j7 pro is smaller, lighter, has aluminum body, more pixels in both cameras, led in the front camera, bigger Amoled display, more pixel density, twice the battery size, two sim trays, expandable memory, always on display, more cores, more ram, a headphone jack, much more customizable and much more compatible with most electronic devices on the market and it is 40% of the iphone 8 price.....this is not even comparable p.s: j7 pro it is older than than the i phone 8 by a couple of months too..

I find great things in both platforms and currently use iOS but will be switching to android...again because the Android itch is back. My 6s Plus is a little dated anyway.

I'm sticking with Android. IPhones home screens are so damn messy with apps all over the place. No to mention the damn folders. Apple really should add an appdrawer. And then let people choose where they want to place the apps on the homescreen.

Made 120+ videos for Samsung Galaxy S8, S8+ and Note 8. Never once regretting buying these beast. If only Apple satisfies us by adding/improving features and NOT by taking out important ports (for both iPhones and MacBooks). But...I had to buy Macbook Pro 2016 Model for Final Cut Pro ^^

They can remove headphone jacks only when there are wireless headphones that are almost as good and cheap (relatively) to wired ones. Currently on the market good wireless headphones are really expensive. And if innovation was the goal what about including wireless charging on the iphone 7, back when fast wireless charging was avalibaly. Or wireless charging on the iphone 6 when it started gainaning popularity. Remove a standard when you find another one. OH and a headphone jack is not a bottleneck in anything. Not like a CD Drive that got replaced by USBs. Please check what you guys say.

BluefireX headphone jack is a bottleneck towards wireless progress and overall convenience. Plus water resistance and battery space.

I shifted from Apple iPhone 6S Plus to Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus and feel like I have a beast in my hands now which is capable of a whole lot of different things which wasn't the case earlier..

Coming from several android/Samsung devices including a Note 4, the iPhone is just more smooth and reliable to use. No it may not have all the bells and whistles, but it is so much less of a headache to use. For instance, just to print something from my android devices, I had to download 1-2 apps, click on several things and then it MAYBE printed. With my iPhone 8 Plus, I just hit print and it prints the document every single time...no extra apps, no extra clicks, no headache. Things are just more compatible with iOS. I had so many issues with my Fitbit on my Samsung note. I thought the Fitbit was faulty until I got the iPhone. It syncs and runs perfectly on it...all the features unlike on my Note. Also apps just run smoother on iOS and come out sooner bc it’s easier for developers to make for iOS vs android. I was always upset when I had to wait so much longer for a game or app to come out or update that my sister already had on her iPhone. Then when I’d finally download it on my android, the quality wasn’t as good. Just saying. I still like android for some features, but I will continue to stick with iPhone bc it’s more solid and dependable. Last one I had was the 4s which lasted years and someone is still using it. My Note 4 however had glitches shortly after I bought it. Also as beautiful as those super amoled screens are, the colors fade over time and you risk getting screen burn. It happened to mine within a year. Right now I have ads popping up all through my Samsung tablet that I got just a few months ago. It keeps saying I have no virus and nothing has remedied the situation. Never had that problem with iOS.

I had nothing but iPhones my last one was a 5S but it lasted me two years and died out. One day it just wouldn't turn on, same thing as my 4S. Now I have for 3 years had a galaxy S7 but I kinda want to go back to apple. my mother had a iPhone 6 it's lasted her forever. Do the updates on iPhones affect longevity? my mother's phone she never updates anything and it's lasted forever and been problem free.i used to always update my iPhones maybes that's why both crashed on me?

Still loving my s8. I had a 6 Plus before and I was waiting for the X, but when the s8 came out I moved over to Samsung and I'm super happy. Keep thinking about the Note 9, because it is a majorly substancial upgrade from the s8, but I think I'm going to wait for the next Note instead.

For long term usage tho, what would you recommend? I heard a lot of negative reviews from s8 or Android phones in general that they're fast to deteriorate in terms of performance. Most take months. Apple however already have negative reviews even at the day of the launch.

Problem is that now that they tend not to pull the "get a free phone when you sign a two year contract", that they offer installment plans, far better to buy the plain unlocked version at Best Buy or such. Then go to your carrier and get it activated. After that, you get the OS updates when Samsung puts them out, not your carrier. Plus, if you decide to switch carriers, say from T-Mobile to Verizon or Sprint you can as the phone is not locked to one carrier. You can also go to prepaid with ease like Straight Talk or Freedom Pop or such. No unlocking needed. I just bought mine a week ago and it had Nougat out of the box, but immediately upgraded to Oreo after I turned it on and set it up.

I went with the LG G6. I picked up two of them on a BOGO deal. $500 for each phone + taxes and activation charges = $1100. I received a $500 check so basically I paid $600 for two phones, $300 each. Hard to beat.

Hey guys hope you could help. Do anyone experience lag after a repair from the service center? I got my phone camera fixed since there was a manufacturer's issue, but after receiving the unit back, I feel like the phone became laggy and some apps crash frequently (ex facebook). Did they do something? Honestly, I don't trust the service center in our locality, that's why I don't like to get my phone repaired with them. But since, the camera defect was still covered by the warranty, I gave it a try. Now, after the repair, I just feel that they did something that makes my phone lag. :( Someone, help? Thanks. Btw, got the S8 here.

Switched to iPhone 8plus when my galaxy s7 got some pretty bad screen burn in. Never had an iOS device till now and can honestly say both Samsung and iOS are not perfect. I like the battery and ecosystem of iOS and the customizability of android I will take FaceTime over any 3rd party video call service. With that being said a phone is a phone lol both work! P.s went with 8+ over 10 because didn’t want to spend that much money and possibly have burn in issues because Samsung made the display

Jesse K Apple has the best displays to prevent burn in and they would probably replace it for free if it does burn in. In the UK, Apple uses the 4 year consumer law.

I agree I just switched from s7 edge to Iphone 7 plus because of screen burn on my s7 edge I was always Android user and always bought apple for my wife she never got problem, I got pink line on my s6 edge and now screen burn and I got some friends who are ready to exchange with my iPhone 7 plus 128gb which was used 1 year and s8 (4month used) was my dream phone when it came out and I found same screen burn problem on KZread for s8 aswell so after long thinking I said no to my friends. And now I feel safe with iPhone.

Most of what you said is true, although I've used the S8 for an entire day with normal use and no adjustments. I didn't have any issues. Also, in New England people don't choose phones based off of what it offers. They get drink off Apple and stay with it despite what other devices offer. I've recommended the Google Pixel to tons of people and they still refuse it stating "Apple has them locked in".

@@sl-br4rm actually USB type-c is light years ahead of lightning. The type-c is WAYYYYYYY more useful, universal and there are more accessories/abilities using type-c. Lightning was only made because Apple, being the scummy company it is, wanted more money so they made their own connector because people have to pay large royalties for every lightning product sold/made

I still don't understand why Windows phone never took off. I mean, 90% of the world's computers run Windows. It would make sense for windows to run on your "pocket computer".

Switched to a Galaxy S8. I regret it so much. Will be moving back to Apple next upgrade. I could write a novel with how many issues the phone has had

pie worm Worm pie I use to have S8 and I went back to my IPhone SE and 6S due to lag on android and some selfies on galaxy are bad but all I care is a phone that works and gets the job done.

Both Great phones. I’m still rocking my iPhone 6s but when I saw the S8,S8+, and Note 8 in person...Wow, beautiful phones, I couldn’t stop looking at them😃. I’m anticipating the S9,S9+, and Note 9. Also, looking forward to all the near stock Android phones like Moto G6 series and X5, One plus 6/6T, Pixel 3, Essential phone 2, Razer phone 2, Nokia, HTC, etc😃. We’ll see if Apple releases an iPhone se 2!

I’ve had my s8 for a few days after being lucky enough to receive it (brand new) from Asurion because my s7 edge battery started expanding. I didn’t think it would be so much different from my s7, but it really is. It’s a beautiful phone and everything about it is better.
