i'm still using my iPhone 7 Plus since 2016, i got it when i was 13, i'm almost 20 now, i have an emotional bond with this phone, we essentially grew up together, and i'll keep using it as long as most of the apps i want are still supported, after an upgrade, this phone is going on a frame on my wall.

I bought one from an eBay auction for $26, and it has a cracked screen and a battery with 81% battery health, but for a phone this cheap, it was a great deal! Btw i’m typing this on it right now.

I had this phone till it fucking broke but i upgraded like 2 days ago but I’ve had it since 2016 and i like it very much since it’s always been reliable.

I’ve had this 7 plus since 2016 or so. It still works great but the battery kinda sux. We’ll see if they come out w a cooler iPhone, then I’ll get one. I heard they might make one w a foldable huge screen. I’m gonna hold out for that!

Battery kinda sucks in all apple phones.Never have that problem with cheap Chinese Android phones

I've had mine for nearly 5 years now, still does the job but I'll admit the the small size is killing my enjoyment of it. I think its about time to upgrade.

​@@Alan-wj5zcfor me I was trying to change from a larger phone to a smaller phone (IPhone SE 3rd Gen) due to several reasons: 1. Bigger phones, though better, but rather distractive( I kept scrolling the social media bc of it)and smaller phones can somewhat make you less willingly to do so. And besides texting and calling, I guess there's nothing really too constructive to have a phone. But for me I would spend extra because it is for incase I would need other functions at the time needed and make sure they work correctly (uber)(any food delivery) And beside that, all other work of mine are going to let the iPad and laptop to handle ( like iPad for studying and laptop for coding or just watching the video) ( at least not the KZread shorts or tiktok that will shed your frontal lobe) Personal opinion. I'm just sharing it instead of disrespecting other's opinion. Everyone have their own path and goes by their own way. I did have a time making a decision of change a small phone to a bigger one,to me I feel like it'd be better if I got my a small phone instead of the bigger one

The iPhone should still work good no matter how old as far as in the present the iPhone 7 is still not that old.

In my country, this device is still being sold for 120$ and up، got one today.

I have an iPhone 11 an apple watch ultra which I got a week or two ago and an older iPhone SE first generation which is between the 6 and 7. I disserviced it so my father could use it to play audiobooks as it still works. The iPhone 11 is on iOS 16.5 and the watch is on OS 9.5 but the old phone won't take iOS 16 and they kept doing higher 15 updates. I have not used it and looked but the last one I saw was 15.7.4 but that was a while ago. It still works fine actually and it's very cheap if you want it. Reselling it will give you little but probably not much less than you will get it for. Depreciation is actually greater for newer phones

I use it for a back up secondary and have no issues.

To be honest this phone’s pretty decent, besides the screen size and battery life it’s alright. Although I don’t use it much since I got the 13 last year, but I still use it for music and podcasts.

My iphone 7 battery drained like crazy. Maybe because of the low battery health. Currently a 12 mini user. Much improved performance and battery life.

I have this in the drawer. Had a great time with it. Maybe using this as a back up. Currently iPhone 12 Pro.

I just got the chance to buy one of these in 2 days, for about 70 BRL. Keep in mind this phone usually goes for about 400-500 BRL, and I've checked it and it is perfect, except for the back cover, which is a bit scratched. The guy just need the cash. I guess...

i got my iphone 7 for 65$, honestly a steal compared to other phones around this price range. if you have a 150+ dollar budget then, yes a iphone 10 or sumthin is better but, if you dont have a lot of money (especially as a teen) an iphone 7 will suit your needs fine. not great, not good, just fine.

@@MilkBarPlatinum Same here. Something like the 6s/7/8/se2/se3 are the perfect minimalist devices IMO. I'm avoiding the notch like the plague and am waiting for usb-c and dynamic island on reasonably priced phones. App support is here to stay for a couple more years, security updates continue to roll in, basic apps are incredibly smooth, and the video quality holds up really well. Not a photographer so I could care less about the picture quality, but it is fine in daylight. Battery life is over five hours, so plenty for an entire day.

The 6s is half the price and has the same iOS 15. I would recommend getting that instead of you can find a good one but the xr (lowest iOS 17 devise) would be better if you have the money.

Tbh you don’t need the latest iPhone or the latest update I have iPhone 7 iOS 16 had a lot. Of issues I’m glad iPhone 7 did not get iOS 16 otherwise the iOS 16 update would break my iPhone 7

I wouldn’t recommend buying something that isn’t supported and iOS 16 would have been a great place to end off the 7. It’s more than powerful enough if you have a good battery and don’t need low power mode to often.

I’ve just upgraded from the iPhone XR to a IPhone 14 for personal use, I have just bought a iPhone 7 for just business purposes, Thoughts?

IPhone 6 and 7 where great phones at the time the screen size is quite small for todays standards it’s not to great typing an essay and what not.

He is a little too negative imo but I wouldn’t recommend buying one either. If you have one and think it’s good (I have one too) than don’t let some random guy on the internet’s opinion make you buy a new one. It’s a phone and it can do almost all the things a 14 can. The lack of software support is saddening (considering it’s powerful enough to run 16) but for a year or 2 you should be good. Just dont buy one with no software after you know it’s dropped. Someday the iPhone 14 pro max 1024 GB will be unsupported and trash.
