Both phones are still better than all the crappy prepaid Android phones. I just recently bought the 8 from a guy who was selling it to the ecoATM. They offered him $45 but he sold it to me instead for $45. I'm very happy with it. Just ordered a new battery on eBay. I plan on using this 8 for about a year.

Both still perfectly usable phones in 2023 (providing there's no major issues with battery). The SE 2020 or SE 2022 may be worth considering if you want a iPhone with a home button and don't own a working iphone 7 or later.

bought a refurbished iphone 8 today, i'd rather have a responsive and premium-feeling phone than having to get a nokia g21 or something

It's actually surprising how smooth they still feel despite their age. But yeah, too bad the battery life is crap.

i'm thinking about buying one just as a fun phone to have. not to take very seriously but to only use it with wifi and such. do you think i can still use an iphone 7 for quite a while even though it doesn't receive updates anymore ?

Yeah, it's still a good second phone. It feels smooth, the battery life is pretty bad though.

So I got a story. I timed it perfectly. So I bought a Xbox One 1 TB Elite Series from a person for with all hook ups and a wireless controller for $30 on FB Market here in Alaska at 10am then turned around and trade it for a Unlocked Iphone SE like new condition with a %100 Battery life. The Iphone SE person we met at 10:30am. Funny thing is they live in the same area like minutes away. I just fished up another lucky day for me. Lol! 😅✌️

I’ve used the iPhone 7 for years .. my girlfriend has the iPhone 14 and this phone still holds up!

Actually ur wrong. The 7 is supported and I own both. For cheap no frills phones you can’t go wrong. They run apps fine and do anything you’d expect from a phone nowadays. I understand most people who don’t actually own these phones wouldn’t believe this but it’s true. This guy thinks once you don’t get the latest iOS features anymore it’s Done for. Which isn’t true. Facebook KZread TikTok etc. All still work at an acceptable speed. All this dude cares about is features. Apple even still supports the 5s with iOS security updates just no new features.

you should buy 12 or 13 those models are slightly old

As a second phone, they are still fine. Can use as a hotspot, keep photos, videos on them, make calls etc.
