@2:23 THATS HOW I FEEL WITH MY iPhone 14 Pro Max 💜 I always take it out of its case, I wanna be comfortable holding THE phone too. Not just Safety Precautions but ACTUALLY being Safe.

Been swamped with school work so haven't been able to keep up with the videos but this was an absolute pleasure to return to. I'm not sure if you're using Aftereffects or something else, but the editing has leveled up even more since I last saw your videos. The little "Absolutely fantastic" under the iPhone 15 Pro at the beginning describes how I felt about this video. I especially appreciate how in depth you went regarding battery/battery life; seems like not many KZreadrs would troubleshoot battery life like you did and can sometimes make broad generalizations about their experience. My iPhone 14 Pro Max has been pretty disappointing with battery life (even with always on display off), especially since it feels like I was getting similar performance with my 11 Pro Max, but I felt better knowing that once I do upgrade in a few years, I can enjoy some better battery upgrades based on your experience with the 15 Pro Max. Absolutely brilliant as always E.

Thank you my friend! I am not sure why your 14 Pro Max battery is bad though? Have you checked what apps drain it most? Mine lasted me super long while having it.

It's great to finally see reviewers point out the use of more efficient codecs (such as HEIF) on iPhones as an advantage over most Android devices. There is also the fact that the iPhone takes HDR photos that gracefully render on SDR displays (something only recently added to Pixel on the Pixel 8). One correction though -- the file size reported in Photos for a Live Photo is _only_ the size of the still image whereas on Android it reports the combined size of the photo and the video components.

Apple makes it clear that Pro models are for Professionals, but still fails to market it that way. Expensive phones are not always the best ones. The standard iPhone is sufficient for 90% of people.

Look, it depends on what you expect from your phone. I upgraded this year to 15 Pro Max and my wife to the regular 15. I am photographer and the 5x camera, the 24mp output, the USB 3.2 transfer speed, the pro res LOG and the fact that it starts with 256GB storage are things that make this phone a great companion to my other photography equipment. It can’t replace my Sony a7C for a photo shoot, but I am using it every day to shoot B rolls or even some portraits in daylight. And of course it’s a better device for pro stuff. To the contrary, my wife finds the regular 15 even an overkill, because she’s doing regular stuff like social media, emails and some office work. There’s different demographics for the Pro and non Pro models.

The 15 Pro Max isn’t gonna last you two days on a charge. If so, I’d like to know how, because mine doesn’t unless I disable all of the features I paid extra for. If disabling pro motion and AoD is a prerequisite to this mythical two day battery life, then you might as well get the 15 Plus.

One of the outliers. No drama iphone review. Nicely done. I get the 15Pm since launch day and never get any problem except for Instagram and Nord VPN eating up battery. Removing those 2 apps solved the problem.

Best review I have seen so far. Bravo. Ultimately, do you prefer Galaxy with One UI or iPhone with iOS? Android is much faster than iOS (faster animations and instant touches). Also, there is no universal back button on iOS. You always have to go looking for the specific method. Do you also perceive that you are less productive with iPhone? Thank you!

You can get rid of that bell for silent in the settings under sound and haptics tap show in status bar . And I have had no issue with my 15 pro no overheating and if I was a braver man I would rock it with no case .

The 24MP photos are cool, but not a reason to upgrade. You can activate HEIF Max photos in the 14 Pro’s camera settings so that you can take full 48MP photos WITH all of Apple’s image processing any time you want. So if you care most about details in pictures, that would be the way to go, and the file sizes aren’t huge either. Around 6 or 7 MB per photo. The portrait mode after the fact is actually something that people will truly appreciate. The headline feature to me is USB C, which will make most people’s lives just a little bit easier. I am NOT a fan of the Titanium finish and I wish Apple had kept the Stainless Steel. It looked more premium, could be anodized, allowed for more vibrant colors and some people (like me) appreciate the extra heft as it made the phone feel more premium AND helps you stay aware of your phone if you’re somewhere you could be a victim of a pickpocket. I WANT to feel my phone in my pocket to know it’s safe, but I know lot’s of people liked the change (mostly tech reviewers, maybe?)

The best review yet for the 15Pro. Well done! Still contemplating the Pro or Pro Max & as I have only one hand, so it looks like it will be the 15Pro. Currently have the 13Pro which is truly brilliant for me, but I do get despondent at times with mixed biassed reviews. Got a shock a few years ago when I had an 11Pro with a Pitaka case. Dropped the phone onto bitumen and cracked the corner of the front glass. I had a screen protector but for some reason, a small crack appeared. I take out Apple insurance now, for peace of mind. I look forward to your other balanced reviews.

How is the USB-C Connector ? I always feel this is the worst part on any gadget today that the frail USB-C connectors goes sloppy within a few months and the chord start to litterally fall off just by looking at it, especially on devices that you plug in and out several times during the day, where I only really ever had dust issues with the lightning connector on my iPhone, which is easy fixed.

Hey, E! Another high quality video! I just got my first ever Iphone and it's the 14 pro max. My whole life I've been an android user and the changes for me are really huge. It would be awesome if you make a video for the most common things we should do when we make that kind of change! I appreciate the support! I find TickTick to provide the fastest way to inert tasks on all platforms…plus it has plenty of Shortcuts options. I started using Chrome because I now use both Android and iOS…although I much more prefer Safari. iPhone customization content coming very soon 🙂

Why do I get the feeling that the natural titanium is the best without a case but the worst with a case?

VPN on my iPhone consumed 4% of the battery in the past 10 days. I think that’s fine. I’m using Lockdown, free version-which isn’t really a VPN, but a firewall blocking trackers, though it runs constantly in the background. Settings app says 111h 18 minutes for the past 10 days, also.

Underrated feature, but remember phones have had back tap actions for two taps and three taps. So if you still want to have the silencer accessible. You can map it to that. I plan on using three taps to silence the phone and use the action button for something else when I get my phone.

To me 5x is not a reason to consider the larger phone at all. It might be great for peeping at the neighbours, but for the rest of the cases 3x is perfect too.

I subscribed because will buy 15 Pro Max in November. He had stuff in this episode that others missed. Question that might be answered in future: Not buying it because of “log” but when would you want to use it if you were just an amateur? Got an iPhone 11. Too few pixels. What do you set if you know you will want to blow up the shot later? All I know is more pixels the better.

More pixels doesn't mean better quality but it adds a great amount of information for cameras that already introduce great light. That combined with the retained live and depth information is fantastic.

I regerted I didn't pay attention to how it performed prior to upgrading to iOS17.

I solely choose to get iphone and dable in iphone because they finally switch to USB C I have been an android user since android was a thing so now i use both so I'm a 2 phones Nelson lol

Wow this is a fantastic review as always, this makes me want to get my mobile upgraded! Honestly apple tech really is just fantastic, a supreme experience through and through. One thing that surprised me when using my new ipad pro lately is that the volume buttons change when using from landscape to portrait! So it’s always tailoring to the user experience.

It warms up when shooting LOG but I haven’t experienced any warnings. I am yet to do long form shoots to see how it performs. My average on the Pro right now is about 5 hours.

Last years iPhone 14 Pro had a RATTLING camera when using Snapchat. Now with the iPhone 15 Pro it’s the instagram causing the overheating issue.
