I’m someone who uses something for as long as possible. And my iPhone 12 Pro is still fine for me so I’m keeping it as long as it is alive, only then will I change to the latest one. I don’t change to the new one every year because I would rather spend my money on bills than for a new phone when my current phone is still fine.

@@TsarNicholas2nd Yeah it can record in 4K. 24fps there’s your cinematic mode. It can also record in higher fps if you like that soap opera effect. LTE that’s just as fast and more reliable than the current 5G that carriers are still converting and rolling out. Chances are you’re being data capped by your carrier and don’t even have the settings for 2160 HDR enabled. You won’t even notice the difference in a screen size this small. 120hz the majority of stuff barely runs at 60hz. The rest is just optimized but if you want faster scrolling you can tweak that in the settings. So yeah my 6s can do about 95% of the same bullshit my iPhone 14 Pro can. No overheating. No crashing. Apps run smoothly.

Would 12 pro max still be bought in December 2022? I'm going to buy a phone from abroad, I'm stuck between 12 pro max and 14 (normal). Overseas prices are very close to each other. Except for minor technical details, I can't see a gap between the 12-13-14 series. The big screen looks a little more attractive. Since I can't afford 13 pro max and 14 pro max, 12 pro max is more attainable for me financially. Both the large screen and the photo quality that does not look like 13-14 push me to 12 pro max. Two things make me think. If I buy the first 12 pro max, I will get a 2 year old phone and my update will end 2 years before. I'm an average user of 5 years, will 12 pro take me max 5 years? If I buy it, will I be investing into the past? Or should I buy a 14 just because it's the current model? Should I follow the logic that new is still new?

It's a great phone so long the 60hz display won't bother you in 2023. I find that the 12 Pro is essentially the 11 Pro with a squared design. I'd also get the 13 Pro instead o the regular 14.

@@ethan_ls27 i dont think so, the 11 pro probably was and the 12 pro has only a few more unnecessary and negligible features, and also has the worst battery life between the 11, 11 pro, 11 pro max, 12, 12 pro max and of course all of the 13s and anything above it imo 5g and lidar is not really that big of a deal and for a regular user you dont need either of those things, and better battery life (and curved edges) would make practicality a lot better which is what most people care about anyway

What screen bugs? I've had the 13 Pro Max since launch and it's been great. I wouldn't recommend getting a 12, but it's your money.
