Gcam is a custom app that you can you instead of your default camera app, just search on Google gcam for Xiaomi mi 11 (in this case) or watch my video on gcam, you can find it on my channel ✌🏻
Hi man i wan to get mi11 for myself these days i'll be switching from midrange device which is mi9 se to this device and want to get a good camera sensors do you recommend it? And which app do you recommend for camera app gcam or xiaomi camera app? What is the latest UI you're using with this device is it miui 14? Thnx in advance

Thank you for your comment! I'm sure you'll be satisfied with the camera sensors on the Mi 11 it is for sure a step up from Mi 9 (I had the Mi 9T Pro before my Mi 11). As for camera apps, I would recommend trying out both the Xiaomi Camera app and GCam to see which one works best for you, I've tested both and for photo I'd recommend GCam but for video the stock camera app is way better. And yes I'm using MIUI 14 on my device (i've the global version)✌🏻

@@JohnnyChiuchioloHello, I also went from a 9t pro to my 11 and I like its design but something I don't understand is (comparison with an f3 too) with the gcam the my 9t pro keeps getting more information in the photos especially at night my 11 gets a little more detail but I'm surprised that I can't find a better camera than my old 9t pro

I think it depends a lot on the gcam version, I’ve noticed some that some gcam are more optimised for the mi 9t, for example videos on gcam for the mi 11 are just bad, but on the mi 9t they were not that bad, and this is just an example, so for the mi 11 you have to dig a lot to find the best settings that works for you, at least this is what I’ve experienced

@@JohnnyChiuchioloWhat you say is very true, I've been testing several gcams on my 11 and they don't convince me, but someone shared an apk of a native camera update, supposedly the one that would come in miui 15 and it gives good results

No solution unfortunately, I have similar issue with the camera, it won't focus with main camera sometimes, the only way to fix it is to switch camera and the go back to the main, then it can focus again

You can try to restart the phone, or update the phone, could be a software bug, try removing any recent app that may cause this issue or try to reset your phone at last option

Mhh, have you seen my video on battery for the Mi 11? You can use the 90hz hack, FHD+ screen resolution and some other settings, if you haven't done it yet, I still have around 5hrs at the moment
