P40 for me. All three are good quality, but once u pixel peep, only P40 kept the most details without looking oversharp, oversmudge, less artifacts because of the big sensor used. Photographers appreciate this kind of thing the most, especially when u need to print on a large scale.

Very good work Alex I think the p40 pro plus although last year's model does very well in both photos and sound. The s21 plus on the other hand has smooth video and nothing else.

P40 is almost an year old phone now, still prefer most of it's pictures - nighttime especially you can see at 3:43 the sign on all 3 phones. Huawei has way better dynamics. Also it would be nice if Redskull mentions the software of the phones, because EMUI 11 ruined the camera of P40 Pro in some scenarios

Hey, I would wait and see what the Mi 11 Pro brings ...it should be launched pretty soon. From the s20 to the mi 11 you aren't gonna see that big of a difference..

overall I prefer S21 S21 telephoto lens is only 1.1x combined with a high resolution sensor. But the results are surprisingly. 😎

HUAWEI Is best at all

Videos sound recording quality: 1. S21 2. Mi11 3. P40PP

If I had to choose one of them I would go for the Mi 11, simply because I take a lot more photos than videos, and photos are where it seems to shine

Hey Alex! I love that you are one of the few reviewers that do a good job on the video recording capabilities on ALL LENSES. I mean, it's 2021 and it's the era of video. :) Especially young creators will use phones a lot in the future and the ultra wide cameras are super important for that (and unfortunately neglected by manufacturers in comparison to the main camera (specs, specs, specs...)). I wished when you do the ultra wide video tests you would flip the phone around for a moment and film yourself, as this is probably the best quality (better than the selfie cams) and wide enough for vlogging. Just a suggestion :). Looking forward to the Mi 11 Pro, Oneplus 9 and P50 Pro this year, and I hope one of them gets the ultra-wide right for video!

It is 18mm, while the S21 Ultra is 13mm.Only the PMate40pro plus got an 14mm UW camera.

Next time, can u compare low light photos using with Auto as well? Because thats where RYYB shines. Takes only in split seconds while produce amazing low light capabilities, without the needs of long exposure Night Mode (less artifact & less color cast as well).

Nice comparison. I‘m surprised how well the Mi 11 often held up, so I'm already wathing your comparison with Mi 11. It's a poor mans flagship.

every video is different, its impossible to guess which one is the best. but im my opinion, huawei is kinda better at least on this video.

S21 phones don't take sharper pictures on the telephoto lenses, it's just artificial sharpeness and this can exaggerate artifacts. On the white truck, the P40 Pro Plus is much more pleasant. Makes me want to see what they'll bring next.

yes it does... well it has a 3x telephoto lens and a 10x telephoto lens. If I would have zoomed to 10x you would have seen a massive difference in quality

P40 Pro+ has a 3X Zoom and a 10X Periscopical lens. Sadly the 3X one is actually the worst of the 5, so when u want a 5X magnification, it will use the 3X and cut out of the frame, resulting really disappointing shots, considering the price. So The P40 Pro+ has a mediocre zoom from 3X until 10X, but after that it will start to use the 10X that, indeed, is the best optical zoom in the market (even slightly better than the S21 Ultra one). It's a misleading situation, but in the practice, if u have that phone you have to know that from 3X to 10X u won't have the same quality of the other sensors.

How's the shutter lag on these phones?

Mi 11 looks very interesting ... but the S21 looks cool too

S21 does not have a telephoto lens...it crops in the 64 Mp sensor,so the zoom is digital,like on the Xiaomi Mi11

So it's not really a telephoto lens,it just crops in,but if the results are ok,there's nothing wrong with that...except the misleading marketing...well,at least you can take 64MP photos if you want,for even more detail,in good light

I would take p40 pro plus without a doubt if it had google services. This is really a bummer since I use google services a lot. I gotta choose between s21 plus and mi 11. I feel like mi 11 is better at everything except cameras but mi 11s cameras are still great tho. I think that I will go with mi 11 since you dont get much more in s21 plus and s 21 plus is 250 euros more expensive where I live.

The 5x zoom, I strongly disagree with your conclusions about details/sharpeness. The P40 Pro Plus show finer details without oversharpening like the other two. This is of a higher quality, even watching a video compressed by KZread on a monitor.

P40 pro win

The battle is only between Samsung and Apple.

You have to show the 1x1 size where we'll really can see the differences. You'll notice how Mi11 process the pictures much more naturally compared to Samsung and Huawei. Mi11 is the closest to a DSLR image standard. On a mobile screen, Samsung tends to be more attractive due its sharpness, dynamic range and saturation. P40 has a lot o contrast, especially at night, but again, overly processed IMO.

Huawei is still the Best one year after with this P40 Pro ! 🔥

Huawei is getting left behind, that Kirin is really weak
