    If you are using LOCA then with a little pressure you can chase the bubbles towards the edge.

    Just showing it can be done without a laminator and autoclave, highly recommend it though.

    If the new touch glass also breaks after using LOCA can the screen be cut open again? I mean isn’t LOCA rock solid when dry?

  • @FIXDPHONES

    @FIXDPHONES

    No, not this type it remains in what I can best describe like a jello state. Its not like epoxy where it hardens, in fact it doesn't "dry" it cures with UV light to a state between a solid and liquid. Its easier to cut through then the original OCA layer.

    so if I understood correctly, all you need is a hot plate to take off the screen and uv glue to be able to repair a screen? Without the need for a laminating machine?

    Yes, the hot plate helps the OCA become less ridged similar to how hot glue works. When it’s cold you can cut into it, but when it’s hotter it’s more like slicing through butter. And the LOCA(uv glue) is the adhesive layer that holds the glass to the display.

    Is the glass with oca or no?

  • @FIXDPHONES

    @FIXDPHONES

    It had oca on it before I removed it as shown in the video. OCA is the more professional way to install the glass, I was simply showing it could be done with just LOCA.

    Please! Do you keep the heat on while cutting through the glass ? I keep the heat on but when I am done cutting the screen always comes out damaged! Should I do it fast before the screen get overheated or should I turn the heat off once it reaches 100 degrees? Thank you for help

    bro, in my experience you can let in 100 degrees a screen for hours and hours and it is fine, the problem might be a wrong movement with the wire

    He's Right! these displays can take a ton of heat for a long time. It normally comes down to technique and thickness of wire.
