I upgraded to the 14 plus from the XR and I love it. I’m not a huge fan of dynamic island and really don’t care about the 120hz. All I care about is a big screen and a good battery.

I've had my 256gb starlight for 4 days now and I love it. Most of the reasons people buy Pros are exactly why I bought a 14+ instead. ProMotion gives me migraines and turning it off just changes the frame rate from 10hz _up to_ 60hz. That changing frame rate is my problem so even if the 13 pro max costs a bit less, why would I buy a phone that makes me feel sick just to save $50? Stainless steel frames definitely look beautiful, but they collect finger grime like crazy and make the phone noticeably heavier. The camera is only missing macro, telephoto, and proraw which I never really used to begin with, and it has action mode without being a ginormous bulge on the back of the phone. 14 & 14+ are excellent phones, people just fall for marketing and convince themselves they _need_ the most top-spec model.

Exactly why I upgraded from the 13 Pro Max to 14 Plus. The Crash Detection and Satellite capability is what drew me to the 14 Plus.

I love how people dragged the 14 Plus forgot how everyone did the same to the XR and 11 and yet, those phones performed MUCH MUCH better than expected and shifted the needle for what was expected from Apple. The XR and 11 opened the ecosystem to people who otherwise would have stayed on Android, just like the SE has done. Now, here’s a phone for those who want a bigger device but not the dent in their bank account or a super high monthly device payment! I may not get it for myself but it’s a fantastic phone. Thanks JWill!

For me, Big Screen, Excellent battery life, and excellent sound and I’m Sold. The 14plus does it for me. Very pleased!!!

I bought the iPhone 14 plus and came from the iPhone 12 mini and it’s a total game changer when it comes to battery 🔋 life. I’ve had the 14 plus since release weekend and I haven’t regretted it yet.

@@zeusx6479 its more of the battery management on ios compared to performance is my preference.

It is an excellent device and the camera is great. It feels good in the hand and the battery life is pretty good. With that being said I took it back for 1 reason and 1 reason only. There is a difference in the text clarity on certain apps to me. I had to make sure the brightness was all the way up to read the text on emails and certain websites. This of course is my opinion and based on my vision issues. I previously had a 13 pro. My daughter has a 14 plus as well, but with her being 29, and coming from an XR she is loving it and doesn’t have an issue with the text clarity. I ended up getting the 14 pro max and notice the difference immediately. I actually like the way the 14 plus feels and look better than the 14 pro max and wish it worked out for me.

I sent my product red 14 back and got the 14 plus in the same colour. Bigger screen & excellent battery life ❤

I have a 13 pro. Turned pro motion 120 display off, so refresh rate isn’t an issue. Kids are old now, so camera options are not important, iPhone takes great pics. Love the Plus’s larger screen and lighter weight. If I think of a “reason” Plus will be my next.

I have never bought a phone from the previous year so didn't consider a 13 pro max. I went with the 14 pro max, there is really nothing wrong with the 14 plus but the way it was priced may as well go with the 14 pro max and the extras it offers. If the difference was 500 or more then i could see why someone might go for this but not at the current price point it doesnt make sense. Now that you brought up subs i really dont get how your not up there with the other tech you tubers your content has always been top notch!

Couldn’t agree more. Own one, sold 13 pro max as a result. The weight of this thing is incredible. Battery life outstanding and speakers much better sounding. Cameras also excellent - don’t miss 13 pro max at all. Highly recommend this phone. Great review.

I currently own the iPhone 14 Plus in product red and I can honestly say the battery is exceptional and the camera is great as well. I felt the Dynamic Island wasn’t something that enticed me. Along with the fact I didn’t need the telephoto lens and 120 Hz refresh didn’t really matter to me either. This phone is great for the average consumer.

Thank you for this video. I have to purchase a new phone next week and I wasn’t sure if I should save a few bucks and get the 14 plus instead of the 14 Pro Max. This video made my decision much easier. I’m coming from an iPhone 11 so this will be a great upgrade for me.

I'll probably get a standard 14 cause I already have a 6.7 inch device and I wanna downsize but if I wasn't I'd totally go for the 14 plus it's a good phone that got crapped on for no reason other then price

14 plus will be my first iphone ever......I'm excited I can't wait.....new subscriber too....

This is going to be the new XR it started out as a terrible deal but turned into the most purchased iPhone! I think next year and whenever the 15 plus drops this will be a great buy! It’s not a terrible buy right now

J.williams remember a couple years back when 11 pro max came out has all the specs with only 60 refresh rate but it was still buttery smooth because of the processor and because of the display and I still love my 11 pro max and this 14 plus I am sure is much better in processing and also in display with the same 60 refresh rate of the 11 pro max. so what's the big deal I am sure it's a great deal . Like you said they want everything for free lol 🤣

I have this iPhone 14plus in color red with 128gb. My battery is good, camera and big screen. I don’t mind the 60hz refresh rate. I also didn’t need the pro features.

I agree, I originally wanted 14 pro because it’s a better size but everyone is saying the battery is no good. Then the Pro Max is too heavy. It’s not true that 13 Pro Max is a better deal, first you have to buy it used you don’t know if it had been repaired, was it stolen is it paid off. Not worth taking that chance. Then a used phone’s battery will never be as good. The island looks a bit like a gimmick.

Got the plus today it’s awesome I had 11 before, I see no sense in paying 300-400 more just for an extra camera which I won’t be using nor do I care about the 120hz screen

I think the issue is more with what else you can get for the same price, not with how good this phone is by itself. The 13 pro max has 120hz, this doesn't. That's the difference in the display. Great video j. While I don't agree with your perspective, I can respect it.

As flossy carter would say "you're jimmy two times cuz you brought the same phone twice" if you upgrade to the 14 from the 13 pro max. People can do what they want with their money but a true upgrade is 3 years or more after a phone comes out.

The weight isn't a big enough reason to upgrade that is justification cause you bought a rebuilt 13 pro max. I personally love my 120hz and can't stand 60hz displays after rocking them on androids for years and now a 13pro max

@@MrBigrex88 the 120hz and cameras are just gimmicks. The OEM tries to convince you that you need these things when in reality they are not important. The phones all open and close apps the same. There are LG phones that used to be flagships as far as 2018 that are still excellent phones.

@@snipesentertainment9037 I don't disagree there are plenty of phones that are great from 5yrs+... Now personally I can see the difference in 60hz abs 120hz so it's not a gimmick also used in my PC. But to each their own.

I love my iPhone 14 Plus ❤upgrade from 13pro,it just took me 1 second get uesd to 60hz😂but light weight and big screen ,easy to hold better than 13pro (bit heavy)battery is so amazing,I am heavy user,I can ues 13hrs until battery run out .but 13 pro about 8 hrs .

So far big screen give me better view also it’s didn’t get heat so quickly when play the game like 13pro .that made me enjoy to play game longer then 13pro …

I ordered this phone but it got lost by the delivery company, so my order got cancelled. Then I had a change of mind and ordered the z fold 4 instead. So glad the way it worked out I'm loving the big screen. Don't think I want to go back to a regular phone now

I recently returned the 14 Pro Max for 14 Plus 256GB in Midnight color I say it’s a solid device!!!!!! Battery life is so much better, very light, have 6GB Ram, yes 60 hz is slow compared to 120 hz but I don’t care about it and lastly the camera is great on 14 Plus!!! I saved money and don’t need the fancy pro models for my needs.

The prices we pay for these devices are actually pretty low in todays standard, people really like to have things for free and as a saying goes, "some people can't have nice things"

I wanted it, but with 256GB would cost me $1400 CAD, plus 13% tax, Paid $979 for my new Pixel 6 pro, better deal,.

If you have $900 to spend......I would never get the 14 plus over the 13 pro max.......they try to make us think the 14 plus is JUST AS GOOD just because it has a few FRIVOLOUS features that the 13 pro max DOESN'T have🤣🤣🤣💯💯

Hi Jay ,I'm afraid on specs I can't agree with you on this one , no pro motion ,no telephoto lens, no dynamic island no stainless rails ,and a big assed forehead that's been there for 5 years in new Zealand this phone is 1800 nzd that's crazy when you. Can spend another 300 dollars and get the 14 pro max I am a big guy with big hands and I'm going to get the 13 pro max or 14 pro max Nott sure yet

Thinking about trading in my 13pm for this.

It is the pricing which is the issue. When you paying $930 for a big 60 hz screen, the 13 pro max becomes attractive because you get more features and a physical sim card for that amount of money. If Apple was selling the 14 plus at $549 and do away with the 6.1 inch regular 14, then this 14 plus would be a worthwhile purchase.

Pro-motion is the main reason I went with a Pro…otherwise I’d have no issues with the standard

In Greece the 14 Plus 128GB is 1150€ and the 14PM 128GB 1600€! Crazy price difference.

The problem with the iPhone 14 isn’t its size, it’s the fact that iOS is not one hand friendly.

120hz refresh is the most overrated thing in the world. I have MacBook Pro 16in and iPad Pro with 120hz refresh. After a day, the novelty wears off and you realize it doesn’t change the way the device works. I hope NOBODY is falling for that trick. The 14 Plus won me over because of the SOS feature. When driving through dead spots in the Midwest with a family, the last thing I want to looking for a signal. Good to know I can just access satellite services.

I honestly understand why ppl say get the 13 pro max instead.....we can't act like it's not a smart move by getting the 13 pro max instead......ITS A FACT THAT ITS A BETTER DEVICE💯💯💯we can't deny that.

It may be an amazing phone, but for $100 more the iPhone 14 Pro is much more amazing.

Bro that regular iPhone X come out much more expensive than this phone.

I bought it and returned it. Liked my 13 pro max much more.
