This was my exact dillema 2 weeks ago. The Ip14 pro max is too expensive for me so I opted for the ip14+ or the ip13 pro max, ended with the ip13 pro max. It's a little heavy but overall I love it!

Most of y’all are upgrading through your carriers and you’re going to buy what they have in stock. Most of them are incentivized to sell the latest and greatest. so good luck trying to get 13 Pro max as your upgrade. If your carrier is T-Mobile I can almost guarantee you that they’ll tell you that they don’t have them in stock and your only choices will be the 14, 14 plus or regular 14 pro while the 14 pro max is back ordered. I broke my iPhone 12 and was due for a upgrade and obviously couldn’t wait a few weeks until the 14 pro max was available so I went with the 14 plus. I love it. It’s the longest lasting phone I’ve ever had. I can’t kill the battery in one day. I keep trying and it doesn’t get anywhere near dying. I really wanted a bigger screen after spending 2 years of struggling with the 12 I just couldn’t consider the 14 pro as a option. I even went back to the store and talked to them about the idea of giving the 14 plus back and paying the extra $200 and the $30 restocking fee to get the 14 pro max. They all thought that I was nuts and didn’t consider it worth it. So they suggested I put that money towards a new Apple Watch and that’s exactly what I did and I’m very happy with my decision. So idk why so many people are acting like the plus is a horrible option. Buy what you need not what you think will make you look cooler or wealthier than you actually are.

thanks for this review. I like taking photos and I was worried if I should have chosen ip13 promax but I am a more selfie person and I truly value long battery life, so Im glad I have chosen the 14 plus ❤

Helpful video thanks. The difference in weight is a factor for me as well as the extra year of updates for the 14 plus. What about audio quality from the lightning socket. I heard that Apple have improved the 14 over the 13 but suits that improvement apply to the 14 plus as well? (I have lightning mmcx cable with inbuilt dac to use better earbuds which also fit into Bluetooth stems).

I just traded my iPhone 12 for a 14 Plus and absolutely love it. Battery is a beast and the incremental upgrades from the 12care imo worth it. I dont need any of the Pro bells and whistles so yes, I’m a happy chappy 👍

I traded my iPhone 12 mini for the iPhone 14 plus and it’s a great phone don’t mind the choice. But unfortunately everyone is in cancel culture mode and the 14 plus will go down in flames because of it just like the 12 mini and 13 mini.

What???? I actually bought the 14 plus I traded in my 11 pro. I hated with a passion and will always hate the 3 fidget spinner looking camera look. I can not stand the weight of it I dont need any of the specs from an iPhone 13 or 14 pro. I traded my 11 pro got a few hundred bucks off this battery is a beast.

I performed prefer the 14plus. I don’t need the pro features! I think my iPhone 14plus is a better phone on battery. I have mine in product red. With 128gb. I can’t be more happier.

I was looking at the 14 plus but managed to get a 13 Pro Max brand new for £100 less than a 14 plus. It’s the first time I’ve ever bought a previous year phone.

I've been debating on what should follow my iPhone 12 (worse battery life), so I've been watching lots of videos about the iPhone 14 Plus. One question though: I was never able to get my beard to not itch at some point. Seeing yours makes me wonder if yours itches as well. If so, what do you do to prevent that? I'm jealous of that beard. Don't know if it would suit me anyway; well, my boyfriend likes it. 😀

I would get the 13 pro max but I truly want to experience that action mode feature with the camera that the 14 plus has.

What about the speakers? Does the 14 Plus have better, louder speakers?

I just got mine today and I absolutely love it. Battery has been phenomenal even during setup when it was syncing and downloading everything. Speakers are crisp and LOUD, and the camera is plenty good enough for me. I really have no complaints. Why I didn't buy a 13 or 14 pro max? ProMotion makes me sick. I had a 13 pro for a few months and I got nausea, headaches, and eye pain every time I used it. Yes, I tried turning ProMotion off but that only limits the variable refresh rate _up to_ 60hz. It doesn't lock it at 60hz, so any phone with a ProMotion screen is literally unusable for me. This phone meets all my needs and I'm very happy with it.

You will have an issue in the future when 120Hz becomes the standard in every phone.

I have the IPhone 14 plus blue, and I don’t get all the hate this phone gets. For me it a flagship phone without the gimmicks that a guy like me doesn’t even need. Or care for. For me the point is the weight. The 14 Plus is much lighter and easier to carry.

Ive been using 12 pm then 13 pm and finally i made the change to ip 14+. I tell you what i like ip14+ because its so light and also the battery life is superb. I dont use cams alot and 60hz works for me so 14+ was a great choice for me! You know the feeling when you walking with a brick for a year and now you got another brick that feels halved the weight of it. I just cant explain the feeling 😅

Had to change the 13 pro max TWICE. first it was a software issue. Had the sierra blue. THEN got the alpine green and the back broke WITHOUT ME DROPPING IT! Mind you; I dropped my iPhone 11 so many times and nothing happened. Till this day the best phone I ever had. And it exceeds my expectation on every level. Passed it down to lil bro and he is still enjoying it! Rn coming from the 13 pro max I’ll definitely opt for a normal glass but the same battery. So 14 plus it is.

14 Plus no Promotion :( No go in my opinion. Once you go Promotion you can't go back! 120Hz ruins it for the 60Hz. If you never used 120Hz you don't know what you are missing and the 60Hz will serve you well.

The 14 Plus is heavily overpriced for what it offers and what it sacrifices…especially outside the US. With 300-400 bucks less this would be an interesting alternative and indeed a midclass device. But up to 1.539 € for 512 GB if you could get a new 13 Pro Max with 1 TB for that money makes it’s existence obsolete!

I love the 14!! I got it after waiting impatiently for the 14 Pro.. I had a difficult annoying job and I didn’t get my last paycheck so I decided I’d just go for it and got the 14 in Midnight. I love the phone, and the one thing that made me switch to it compared to the 13 really is the Camera! This is also a good nudge into the newer Apple product ecosystem after coming from the 8 Plus and SE 2 so it felt nice to switch to OLED and have that Ultra wide camera with Night mode. When the 15 Pro or 15 Ultra release next year However, I’ve decided I’d get that instead. Fun part is, I’ve adapted to the Notch, Gestures, and Face ID. Coming from a display that never had anything distracting it, coming to these newer models I thought I’d mind the notch or dynamic island and it’s like it’s invisible. My favorite switch was definitely OLED though, and that HDR is Chefs kiss!

I actually prefer the Photonic engine, better GPU graphic cores, faster 5G, updated aperture lense on front camera for better selfies, Autofocus on selfie camera too, Cinematic mode at 4K 30FPS, All new Action mode which enhances stabilization, it even has a better ultrawide lowlight camera and a better main camera than the 13 Pro. A higher Hz display is a gimmick to those like me who don’t notice the difference until they use it, since I have never used it.. 60hz feels great. I get new satellite connectivity and crash detection.. love it. It has better Bluetooth from 5.0 to 5.3 and night mode is MUCH better. First iPhone with Photonic engine so it clears night mode much more with ease. The Esim allows me to keep track of my phone if lost, nobody can remove it. I can also track my phone even when it’s powered off completely. The 14 also has 6GB of ram compared to 4 on the regular 13.. lense on the 14 are also bigger, it uses the 13 Pro lense, with updated 14 Pro hardware. So much more different than what’s on the surface. The 14 is much lighter and I actually like the glossy design as much as I like the pro design. Glossy design is prone to slipping off my hands.

@@squiddyword7224 Its cause the base model is soo two years old. The base 14 and 13 are similar to the 12 pro but with bigger cameras and just a different “base” design. After the 15 releases I was going to get that one. I just need a pro iPhone and then i can go on for two years until I get a new one. But you’re right, after the SE, the Chipset and a bit of the camera were hardly upgraded. If i had gotten the Pro version however, it would’ve been a better purchase.

The iPhone 14 Plus is working out really well since it's my first iPhone ever the battery life is very good and I'm happy with my new device ! Thanks good review...

The main advantage for me between the two is that the 14 Plus has better speakers than the 13 Pro Max making KZread videos a lot more enjoyable.

Most reviewers don't even look like at the Bluetooth and 5G radio and network chipset upgrades on the 14 series ,,they will tell u it's same as 13 but the A15 on 14 non pro is slightly tweaked

Verizon is having a great sale on the 14 plus, $5/month ($7.77/month if you want 256GB) if you add a line. Since I need to move an Ooma number, this was a no brainer, The camera is irrelevant. When I want the best quality, I pull out my Canon R5. 🙃

If you want long life battery and big screen and want to save extra money Just buy 14 plus you won't regret

Once you hold a 14 Plus, you’ll love how comfortable it feels. It becomes a one hand phone more times than its not, where as the 13 Pro Max gets too heavy at times. If sacrificing a high refresh rate display and better cameras gets me a comfortable experience in my hand with the big size display I’m looking for, its a 9 times out of 10 deal I’m taking.

@@NeverSettleForMediocrity I perfectly understand your point, I too had your same assumptions about iphones and always thought android was better… Got myself a 14 pro Max and I can almost safely say that im not going to switch back to android. Everything is just way smoother, obviously thanks to its 120hz refresh rate, but IOS plays the biggest role here… Cameras are way better and you saying that 13 megapixels are not enough kinda gives me a hint that you don’t exactly understand how cameras really work. So yes, he can definetly get good cheaper android alternatives, but they won’t be better just because of bumped up specifications like a 108MP sensor in a 250$ android😅

Android user life time finally decided to roll with my first iPhone the iPhone 14 plus was the device that i decided to get my Samsung S22+ was faster with the 120hz refresh rates bright screen resolution battery life on my one year old s22+ good for a day my girlfriend always has been a fan of my S22+ and it's over all a good device my iPhone 14 plus battery life and overall performance works well for me i really love my iPhone thank you for your review...

Both phones here have same processor same 6gig ram. One has Promotion one does not. One has 3 cameras one has two. The 14 Plus has the SOS feature and crash detection the 14 Plus has the advanced video stabilization . I'd rather have Promotion still.

My understanding is that the 14 range also has updated wifi and cellular antennae, meaning that in some situations they have significantly better reception in the same place, on the same network, at the same time time, compared to the 13 range

120 hz screen and tele camera are absolutely worth

I guess the 13pro or 13pro max is worth the money rather than going for the newer 14 series... just my opinion

I got the 14plus and i would tell u to get the 13 pro max everytime the 13 pr max camera is just better when it comes to physical inhand it has a 15x zoom compared to a just 5x zoom on the 14plus and you’ll get a proRaw if your a photographer and really like taking pics just go for the 13 pro max its just way better and it even looks better

Soo..the only difference is that on the 14 plus you get crash detection, action mode, you are more likely to get it brand new, it's lighter so it's more comfortable...yet we want to trade all of that with a 13 pro max with none because of a unnoticeable 120hz?..bro

The reason why I believe it did sell well because of the price most people don’t care about Dynamic Island 120 RFR are the telephonic cameras as far as the specs people felt cheated because it’s the same chip as the 13 series so people opt out are just got the 14pro series ima buy a used one next week for way under sticker price who it 1st launch

Even with a year old battery and even with promotion 120 hertz display the 13 pro max still trumps the 14 plus when it comes to battery life. Atleast a 10% difference- its unbelievable. I think it has to do something with the latest IOS skin.

Based on aesthetic alone, I think the huge cameras on the pro versions look hideous. iPhone 14 plus is more elegant and proportional looking and is lighter in weight.

Important to note the iPhone 14 Plus has a more powerful a15 chip than the 13 Pro Max it has an improvement of 18%

I think it was actually the regular 13's that had ever so slightly worse a15 chips, the 14 plus has the same as the 13 pro max. An improvement of 18% over the regular 13

I would definitely pick 13 pro max over the 14 plus

The 13 pro max is the overall better phone the cameras are superior and having that 120hz refresh rate you can’t go back and the premium look

Not sure what you are talking about, other than the 3x on the 13PM, the 14+ has better cameras. Oh and the cinematic thingy.

I literally have the plus and you can not tell the difference, with reduce motion off and an adjust cursor sensitivity setting,The plus looks like 120hz💀

@@jazlema794 Yes, there are some people who can't tell the difference between 60hz and 120hz, you are one of those people. To me, its clear as night and day, my brother had a iphonee 14 plus before he returned it

@@ADunleavy The first time I used it I did notice a little difference but when I continued to use it I couldn’t tell, maybe it look the same because I adjusted my setting but my sister has the 13pm and it’s so laggy💀

13 pro max better simply just for the 120hz display
