Iphone 14 is literally the same as 13, same screen size, same body, same camera design, same cameras. The big diffrence is the better processor but the diffrence is negligible in real world use.

For me, it was carrier deals during Black Friday. I picked up our kid an iPhone 14 for $10 a month so made no sense to get the 13 as this was cheaper

It is true that 14 sold really well, but I think you forgot one thing: 13 also sold really well in same period. It's the first time last year's model came really close to sales of the current model. Many people also saw that 14 is literally 13(s) and just opt for 13 to save money. I'd recommend 13 Pro over 14 for the same asking price as it has 120Hz, extra camera, and other perks; otherwise just get 13 and save cash.

For me SmartHDR5 is a game changer for my pictures. I never want to go back to the „old“ SmartHDR4

I had this exact same iphone in blue but I had to switch to the 13 because of an eSIM transfer problem

6:00 I think that Apple would probably drop the iPhone 14 and 14 Plus at the same time as the 13 series, feels like something they'd do.

I have a iPhone 14 base model since july and I think its amazing and i am really happy with it every day I’m holding it in my hands and when I look at it ☺️ the battery life is amazing too. I can use it the whole day without any problems and the battery health is right now 99% after 5 months daily use. But I think I can’t be super objective tbh haha.. I always used Android (Samsung) before this and my last phone before this was the Samsung Galaxy A22 5G so it was a big step anyway. But I’m glad I don’t regret it.

for me the extra core in the gpu the 2 more ram gb and the photonic engine were enough to pick the 14 over the 13 . Great video man keep it up

I downgraded from an 14 Pro to a base 14 cause it was too heavy and i didnt like the look of the camera setup. Never looked back.

Man, the iPhone 14 is unappreciated due to it not being an upgrade from the iPhone 13. I see why, it literally has the guts of the 13. this iPhone was so bad that even Steve Jobs own daughter mocked it.

They bumped the CPU and added two gigs of ram, so no it is not the exact same phone as the 13 and one of the reasons I bought a 14 was for crash detection because there are so many idiot drivers on the road so yes, it saved a lot of lives so it deserves respect. In Canada this phone was $1229 after tax and so not everyone runs out and pays $200 more to buy an extra camera on the pro for a lot of people that that's a waste of money unless you need close-ups of girls at the beach or something, the rest of us live in the real world. Actually, if they could get rid of the lens flare on the camera for nighttime video, this phone would be just perfect but apparently a lot of pros have that problem too. I knew it was a good phone before it was popular, but apparently a lot of people only like things when it becomes popular. I'm into tech and I don't need a Pro to be an enthusiast

@@nickackermanchannel lol, you should revisit the 12 mini again, despite it’s terrible battery life, it’s definitely unappreciated. you should do a tech rewind for your channel. Revisiting smart phones people forgot about.

Hi Nick. I bought the iPhone 14 Plus 9 months ago and I really love it! Here's my personal review after using it for 9 months: #1. The battery life is amazing (It gives me 2 days of battery life and still 100% battery health), #2. The UI experience and connectivity to the other devices is seamless when you do have other Apple products such as Apple watch, AirPods, mac and iPad, #3. Bigger screen is a "plus" for reading, watching and gaming (I don't have any problems about the 60 hertz refresh rate), #4. Good but not the best photo/video camera out there but hey it still captures better photos/videos from other phone brands, #5. Charging is a bit slow compared to other phones but I can live with that, #6. Phone call quality and the mic and speakers are good and lastly #7. The 6.7" size is perfect for me and I don't have any problems carrying it for a whole day. I will give it a 7.5/10 rating!

Just got the 14 … was tired of playing the phone swap game, bought an iphone12 outright but it was sim locked… so returned it for the 14… love the performance and solid camera, way better than the pixel I came from… first video I sought out was Nick’s take on this phone… love your content!

The 14 has more ram than the 13, imo thats the main reason to get it over the 13. Apps probably reload all the time w 4gb of ram compared to 6gb.

My mom upgraded from an iPhone 7 to a 14 and let’s just say it was a massive upgrade, she loved the blue color, and she got the newest version of the phone at the time and is completely happy with it.

I’m about get this phone for Christmas. I currently have an iPhone 8 and for sure I can say this is a big upgrade

Hello I am using iPhone 13 around six months. I bought this thing around end of June in 2023, And it was quite a good experience and when I compare with The 14 I would say I am not regretting I didn’t got the 14 and I saved almost 10 times of the cost of the official iPhone 14. Strike in my place. The iPhone 14 cost be around over 79,900 so I got around My iPhone 13 64,000 quite good price

I have the iPhone 14 Pro Max for about 3 months now. It’s been an excellent phone. At 99 percent battery life. But 1 percent in 3 months isn’t bad. Will keep it till about 2025 or 2026.

Nick, I went from an IPhone 11 to the 14 plus. I love the phone the 2 day battery life and the big screen. I think the camera is fine on it and it all works for me. To me the screen and everything else seems fast for me. I really only wanted a big screen IPhone without paying the premium of the 14 pro max. I am glad Apple added a way to get the screens without paying so much money for it. The notch doesn’t bother me. The 6.1 in screen is to small for my hands I like the bigger display and I don’t really care about the camera specs. As long as it takes good pictures it’s fine for me. 😂❤

I love my yellow iPhone 14 Plus because of its size. I’m not a really technical person when it comes to phones so I’m not sure if I should’ve bought a 13 instead. Also I love the colorway because I’m a Steelers fan👍🏽

I had dream about this phone but happy with my 13

It's better value than the 13. Slightly expensive (not really) but +2 GB ram, better camera, extra core in the gpu, bluetooth 5.3, better 5G + 1 year iOS (or more). In the late 2023 and the early '24 it's better choice than the 13 If u want a "cheap", vanilla iPhone for years, that's it.

Still using my iPhone 13 with 256 gb n I'll tell you one thing... The screen n battery are awesome 😊. Very different from previous iPhones...

Extremely close phones but both are very good 😊 I feel iPhones are so good that I wouldn’t think twice getting any of them. But looking forward for the 16 series as hopefully the regular n pro models might get 6.3 inch screens. Love the 15 series too but felt I had to wait.

@@seinfarage9959 Hold onto her. It’s so much more cost effective to keep your phone for a few years and only about $50 bucks to replace the battery now days and $1000 plus to get a new phone. So overpriced. But when a phone company offers you an upgrade they put you on a monthly payment plan for 24 months. So it’s more a hassle having to pay each month when they give no option to pay it down but only pay it off in one lump sum. You got the perfect amount of memory too. 94 percent battery after 2 years is phenomenal. I noticed If you use MagSafe over night. Seems to conserve the battery than normal plugin in. At least in my experience. I plugged it in for first month and lost a percent. Which is no big deal. But I always wondered if plugging it in. Causes battery to degrade more.

Just upgraded to this from the Xs.

6GB of ram on the iPhone 14, 13 had 4GB of ram

The reason I didn't like it was because you could just buy a refurb 13 Pro instead and get a zoom lens and ProMotion to go with it.

iPhone 14 will have Noticeable Improvement when you upgraded from iPhone 11 or below than 11.. I upgraded from iPhone XS to IPhone 14 I can feel the difference but above than 11 it is better to go for iPhone 13

Is because 13 and 14 has no difference both are exactly same from front from back unless the person turn around forgot about bit software

Still one of the best iPhones in even 2024. Not upgrading until the new series come out.

Bro the consumer makes irrational choices. They don’t event check if the model has upgrades , they think 14 = better Than 13 in their mind. Cause 13>14. Plus it has become a standard in their life ego by last iPhone. Also the pro models are so expensive that people wanting latest iPhones were ready to stay with 14 !
