To answer a few questions: - We didn’t show the 12 Pro Max, as the 13 has the same main sensor - When I’m saying “13 Pro”, I’m also referring to the 13 Pro Max, as both the 13 Pro and the 13 Pro Max have the same cameras. Also, almost all photos were actually taken on the 13 Pro Max. Selfies were taken on my 13 Pro. - iPhones would not go higher than 3s in the Ultrawide Night Mode test. At least not with the street light that we had. S21 could go up to 8s, hence the difference.

Im curious, was the “prioritise faster shutter speed” option (or whatever it is called in English) disabled on the iPhones? I think it is enabled by default, greatly limiting exposure times.

To be fair, at 14:46 the sun is hitting directly at the s21's front facing camera while on the other three it doesn't. We can all see it in the background. That's why you had this result

It definitely puts up a great flight. It's a great phone In a lot of ways. If it wasn't for how easy it is to sell you old iPhone I probably would of bought that phone instead of the 13 pro max. But I could sell my 11pro max in days. if I had an S 10 under this day I was on for an S20 it wouldn’t be as easy to sell.

The S21 Ultra still holds up really well in late 2021 compare to the Iphones. Job well done ZoT!

Given it’s $100 more than the 13 Pro Max and it’s from only 6 months ago, with no new Note model in between, I wouldn’t expect anything else really… But also, I do really like the aggressive HDR on the S21, with the ability to see the sky, blown highlights do piss me off on my 12 Pro Max, as Pixels have long figured out that great HDR is the answer to amazing images. That said, the iPhones counter with better texture as Samsung is a bit too aggressive with noise reduction, it’s been a long standing issue with Samsung phones in indoor light making wood floors and tables in my house super muddy.

That was the test. S21 ultra has a mind-blowing HDR in photos but not so much in videos. Hope Samsung focuses more on video with the upcoming S22 ultra.

Yes, and i think the sky looks really good even this tester claimed it to be noisy??? In my eyes it was the best of four with deep blue sky, others was too bright and noisy.

what is the COC of the s21U used here? Snapdragon? if thats the case ,you should also compare with the exynos one. i think there's a great difference between the two when it comes with image and video processing.

After watching this I think my 12 Pro is still good, after all, I love it!

Well, I can’t see a huge improvement in comparison to my 12 Pro Max Dan, I agree the Samsung was best overall. I’m still buying the Google Pixel 6 Pro in October as soon as it’s released, I feel it’s time for a change and it’s certainly not worth upgrading to the 13 Pro Max, maybe the 14 line next year will be worth it! Hi, Daniel! I liked the blind camera comparison format on previous videos better, because the photos are so similar that people tend to chose the company they like the most.

S21 Ultra is still badass after 9 months. 👍I'm so glad that I made the decision to buy this phone, not Note 20 Ultra, though it was also an excellent phone.

I like that in the thumbnail you can see the difference of the notches

you should try the new iphone 13 pro with increased shutter speed at night- it can get up to 10 seconds. The results might be really different. The Iphone 13 pro gets really close to S21 Ultra with only 3 sec shutter speed and the S21 Ultra is with 8 sec.

I wonder if the Selfie test (4) is fair as the 13 pro photo shows water in the background with a lot of light reflection, which is not visible in the other three photos. On those photos there is plant in the background instead.

A very nice comparison, but the Galaxy S21 Ultra should have had a neutral point with the iPhone 13 Pro with macro photography and a point on shooting night videos because of the clarity of the video and the lighting on the Galaxy S21 Ultra.. This is my vision and you can see more than me on that..

On my Iphone 13 pro there's no manual hdr control in photo mode, i hate when they remove stuff without telling. I sold my iphone 12 pro max and bought iphone 13 pro , had i known that i would've never done that. Plus i can't have close ups of subjects anymore because it switches to macro mode , and the bokeh from the main sensor disappears... this is not an update this is a downgrade if you ask me

Not sure I agree with your "Outdoors 3" comparison. I think you are putting too much emphasis on the sky and ignoring the lens flaring issues on the S21, which I consider to be a more noticeable problem. But I guess it's personal preference.

Disagree with the selfie camera image. The light behind you interfere with the quality of the image. Taking into account that you say the 12 pro does better than the 13 pro, although since they have the same camera but different processing, they may produce similar image quality. But I wouldn’t comment like you did if the condition is clearly noticeably different.

You give the 13 pro the point on having sharper image that doesnt look sharpened in post but two images later you give the s21 a point for the ultrawide being sharper in terms of the brick work. Im sorry but its still being post processed heavier with sharpening than the iphone.

My only thing is when taking low light pics, if the galaxy is set to 10 seconds, they all should be set to 10 seconds.

I got the 13 yesterday but the front camera quality is so badd! Even worse than my previous phone. How can I solve this??

If you look at some of the comparisons the angle of light were slightly difference between phones leading to difference in exposure. I would say the 13 pro and S21 are equally as good.

Amazing video as always but I would like you to consider one thing. At this point Galaxy phone had multiple software updates that considerably improved camera input....maybe we should aloud Apple to do the same and then after couple of months come back and revisit this review. Just saying 🤷🏼 But on the end really no matter what device someone picks would be a great choice. The difference only comes between what that person prefers the most Android or IOS 👍🏻

For some reason this video quality is max upto 480p. It Should be a higher resolution when comparing different phones photo quality, would have been easier to judge. Nevertheless another amazing video cheers 🙌

I always hate that when that happens to my photos. It happens to all light sources and it ruins half the photos I take. I would definitely give the iphones the win because I hate all the flairing on the galaxy.

Samsung really needs to improve the 4k 60fps video quality, its embarrassing against even the 11 pro max. Hey Daniel i have the surf i get 600mbps on wifi without the surfshark on but with surfshark i cant get more than 80-100mbps is that normal ? I heard the decrease suppose to be only 30% not 80% like i get. And yes ive tried all the protocols and diffrent countries thats a disapointment 80% decrease of internet speed

Please compare 12bit raw of the s21 ultra with proraw.. using lightroom..

When the sky is blown out, I press on that area and the iPhone corrects it. It’s a simple feature that works most of the time. iPhones don’t take perfect point and shoot but can take amazing pics if you take a moment to sort the exposure.

16:08. S21u is still the best shot, having sharpness and hence a bit of noise. Iphone 13 pro image is so softened like the 'beauty shot' mode on few phones!

They are all great, however adding the other iPhones kind of messed up the test. In almost all cases where an iPhone won, the 13 pro would of beat the S21, so adding the others kind of cannibalized the results from the 13 Pro. Also, in Video, the iPhone is far better.

I don’t remember this company’s name that tests cameras of the most expensive cellphones and a few days ago, they ranked iPhone 13 on 4th place out of a bunch of other phone cameras. The 1st 🥇 place was given to HUAWEI. Any idea 💡 the name of this company? I think they do a yearly test and review.
