I’ve been using my 11 pro max for almost two years now, and so far it’s been really great and I have no complains. The most significant differences between these two models are probably the cameras and battery life. However, for my use, the 11 pro max is still very capable and, right now, I don’t see a reason for me to upgrade to the 13 pro max

I actually just made this upgrade and I definitely agree. But I can't lie and say my experience with the 13PM hasn't surpassed my expectations. It's an excellent phone imo.

@@Strongpoeticmind i would say its worth the upgrade to at least an 11 pro max if you can find one refurbished for a good price, the size of the phone is indentical but with more screen yto use at 6.5". i can understand it will be tough to lose the headphone jack and home button. however the iOS software updates will most likely be discontinued for your phone. however maybe give it a test run with a newer phone and see how you like it and keep the 6s as a back up

Bought the 11 Pro Max when it was released knowing I’d hold onto it for at least 5 years. The camera is great, battery is still decent and overall is still pretty fast. I really don’t see a need to upgrade anytime soon.

yeah 100% I would happily keep my 11 pro max for at least 2 more years but sadly it accidentally got dropped from the first story of a building and althought not dead it has some problems

As a person who recently upgraded from the 11 pro max to the 13 pro max. Its not worth it, you only get the 120hz screen. Everything else is pretty much the same.

The 11 ProMax is still a GREAT phone, and imho 4G LTE will still be around for a few years. Maybe with more people using 5G, 4GLTE will get faster (?).

I upgraded in September 2021 from an iPhone 6s Plus to the 13 Pro Max 1tb. I love the 13 Pro Max! I take it off the charger at 6am and it doesn’t see any charging until about 10pm. It’s never tan the battery dead. I’m not concerned about what % battery I have at the end of the day as long as I don’t have to charge it. I tested the battery on two separate days from 6am-10pm in normal mode. From 4pm-8pm I live streamed an event and at 10pm the battery was at 35% The very next day took iphone off charger at 6am Iphone was switched to low battery mode until 10pm. Live streamed the same event from 4pm-8pm and at 10pm the battery was at 58% I love this iphone Thanks for all the great videos/information Aaron!

Thanks for the video that is so well done! I have an 11 pro max and I love it. My considerations for upgrading really is based on the cameras. It seems that the 13 pro max is better, but not a game changer for what I do (short videos & photography for e-learning).

been waiting for this video and I liked how detailed this video comparison. Both devices are beast in battery life, 13 pro max is a little bit better since it has a lot of new video & camera features. I have 11 pro max for quite sometime now and might pass with the upgrade as my 11 pro max still function very well. It’s battery is great based on my own way of usage. Thanks for this great video.

From iPhone 11 in 2020 I upgraded to iPhone 11 Pro Max in 2021 no regrets, 11 pm is still a beast

I’ve had the 11 pro max since release date and battery health is at 84%. I’m seriously considering getting the 13 pro max but may wait until the 14 comes out.

I'm using the 13 Pro Max. I'm really impressed with the 3 day battery life that I'm currently getting. I have dark mode turned on and always have my brightness set to 10% as I'm visually impaired and don't look at my screen most of the time unless I'm watching Netflix or catching up on KZread videos.

I’ve upgraded from 11 pro max to 13 pro max. I don’t wanna switch back because the battery is awesome and got from 64gb to 128gb… way better as well. And the pro motion display is what i also like a lot

Good choice I think the 13 pm is more like a gaming phone, so check out Genshin impact, it’s the most demanding game in mobile right now and iPhone 13 Pro Max is the only smartphone that supports 120fps so give it a try man

Great video Aaron, thanks for this. I have the 11 ProMax and want the 13 ProMax. A couple of things about the cameras. The super wide angle lens on the 13 ProMax has AUTOFOCUS. The same lens on the 11 ProMax is Fixed focus (with a super wide lens it almost doesn't need to focus with a huge depth of field, but it makes a difference) This also allows the super wide lens to do the Macro feature on the 13 Pro Max. Also, I have put my 11 ProMax next to a 13 ProMax in Apple stores, and the normal wide angle camera on the 13 ProMax is noticeable brighter, partially due to the aperture, but also perhaps due to software.

One of the best comparison video I’ve ever watched.

I from upgraded 11 Pro Max to 13 Pro Max as the same colour as you used in your video. Both of them are good phones and most compatibility.

@@nanakowsackey9845 I wouldn’t think so. 8-11 hours on the 11 pro max, and 12-14 on the 13 pro max is what he said I think. If you plug your phone in every night, it doesn’t really make a difference. I think I might pick up an 11 pro max soon, my xr can barely get through 5 hours now, and it’s getting old and worn.

@@Mustafa_9628 Bro same! Before my 11 Pro Max I was always the Samsung Galaxy S user, had all the best S3,S5,S7,S9 but the battery life was so bad I had only 3-4 hours of SoT, I had to switch to iPhone! And I’m loving it!

My wife’s 11 PM is holding up strong and I’ve always considered hers better than my 12 PM was. My 13 PM is the best iPhone I’ve owned yet.

I think both are incredible phones and if you’re on a budget you will still be pleased with the 11 pro max however if I was choosing out of them both I’d choose the 13 pro max.

@@christianstowe7848 I made the jump from the 11PM to the 13PM and the biggest thing for me is the screen. Also, the battery life in the 11PM was great, but the 13PM is a different ballgame. I do still miss the size/roundness of the 11PM though :)

@Carl Gunderson understand the iPhone 11 series still will get plenty more updates. Apple does 6-7 years of updates (according to the iPhone 6s/OG SE) so it’ll get like 3/4 more which is still a lot for about $500-$600

The telephoto lens on the 13 Pro Max actually took a step backwards due to an aperture of f/2.8 vs. 11 Pro Max’s telephoto lens aperture of f/2.0 albeit one is 3x vs. 2x.

I’m still using my 11 Pro Max since launch day! The battery and cameras are extremely capable and is definitely still an excellent phone being the first ever Pro iPhone.

@@kaddou1 It’s currently at 87%. I have on average 5-6 hours SoT a day and typically have 20%-30% left. It used to be better when I first got it, but as long as I don’t need to charge in the day, it’s still great battery for me.

Honestly, I bought a refurbished 11 pro and loved it.. then I had connection issues that Tmobile and Apple couldnt figure out, so I had to upgrade to the 13 pro which is pretty nice.. but I really liked the 11 pro better cause it is smaller and has the rounded edges.. and the fact that I essentially lost 400 bucks because of an unexplained issue..

I just got 13 pro max. This iPhone is a beast ! Battery life , pro motion and cameras put it to the top. The design is A class

Since I had my iPhone 11 Pro Max which btw is turning 3 years by October 2022, I didnt feel the need to upgrade to any phone. Like seriously, this is soo good. And comparing this with iP12&13, i didnt feel the “im left behind” vibe. Actually I still feel like I had one of the best phones in 2022.

Few days ago have purchased a 13 pro max and it was a upgrade from 11 pro max. In my honest opinion in day to day usage there is no difference in perfomance. both are great devices and happy to own them both. Now will upgrate to 15 pro max from 13 pro max..

I have 11 Pro Max for year and half now. Still a very very good phone. Planning to upgrade to 13 pro max when 14 series comes out. I will pass my 11 pro max to my daughter. She will be happy for sure.

The last iPhone I used was an iPhone 5 at the age of 17 when it first came out in 2012. Went away from iPhones after that. Now coming from Android, I bought a refurbished 11 Pro Max online for 850 dollars (I live in India so it's 68000 rupees) back in April. The iPhone I currently have has 82 percent battery capacity and was purchased on October 2019 when I checked the details using the serial number. The battery still lasts long for me despite having almost the same apps as I do on my Android phone (Poco F3). I use 2 phones both side by side. The cameras still hold up today. I don't even think I'll upgrade to the 14 Pro Max. This is a good enough phone for me. Thank you for this video. You make me feel happy with my purchase.

I traded my replacement ( by Apple under warranty) 11Pro Max up to the 13 Pro Max. I got tired of the performance problems .. huge difference in performance with the 13 Pro Max. Very happy now!

To be honest I'm blown away by how accomplished the 11 pro max camera still seems to be. Its easy to get taken in by the hype when reviewers are raving about the new iPhone, new cameras etc. But in real world examples you're splitting hairs in 90% of scenarios really.

Both great phones, but... I still own the 11 Pro (non max, but with the same camera system as on the 11 Pro Max, which was unfortunately not the case with the 12-series), and I see a huge differensce in low light performance, which must be related to LIDAR plus the better sensor/aperture. A huge step forward, and, for some maybe, enough a reason to go for it. I'm taking photographs for some time now (20+ years) and to me the camera is the most ipmportant part of any new iPhone generation, besides battery life. You don't need to use the stock camera app, there is plenty of alternatives. For allday usage, just for fun/share anywhere pictures the stock app (JPEG-mode) ist perfect, If you dive deeper, want more control on the reseults, go RAW. You're not stuck with ProRaw; I mention this for the opportunities/different approaches other apps offer. But: shooting in ProRaw within the stock app gives so much more details anyway, I'm using it often. It's also about personal preferences. This time I went for the Apple leather case and I love it. I've also put a matte screen protector on it, as I did with my iPad Pro - never ever again wothout! Instead of fighting (against) ANY light source I can just read the screen, so nice. I can see no impact reagarding colors, contrast, whatever. Nice video, thanks for Your work!

I have the 11 pro max and I think I’m going to upgrade for the storage and battery alone! Most phone companies are running a $700 toward your new phone when you trade in your old so that definitely makes it worth it to me.

iPhone 13 Pro Max here. This is the bulkiest phone I’ve ever owned and I love big phones. My note is half as thin and half as light. I prefer the look of the 11 Pro Max. Battery life on this phone is ridiculous as I’m heavy user. Went 9+ hours on screen yesterday with 19% left in the tank.

I have had notes since the note 3 and love them , just bought my first ever MacBook Pro and a 11 pro max , so getting used to them but loving the reviews on the 11 pm on KZread, should I stay with the 11 pm so I can get used to apple and then upgrade to the 14 when it comes out or would you say the 12 or 13 pm , everyone I see on KZread still bigs my 11 pm up so much, I can’t believe it lol

I own both 11 pro max and 13 pro max + note 9 - the 11 pro max is miles ahead in ergonomics vs both and 13 pro max is the most uncomfortable big phone I ever owned. Using my phones without case/screen protector.

@@wbev_thai1666 My company just bought me the M1 MacBook Pro but because I use 3 monitors which the M1 does not support, I took it back to the Apple store for the Intel version. I’m so deep in the Apple ecosystem (MacBook, Apple Watch 7, AirPods Pro) so using the Note was the monkey wrench. They bought me the iPhone 13 Pro Max and although I miss the customization of Android, the iPhone is just a solid unit. I’d hang in there with the 11PM because you have the MacBook now. The Apple Watch (if you have one) unlocks the MacBook’s which is a nice option. I also have the titanium Apple Credit Card and use it for 2% purchase rewards. If give me Apple Cash with every purchases. Racked up over $300 in purchases and bought my wife an Apple Watch for Christmas. I’m babbling but I’m deep in Apple so I’m going to sell the Note.

Using 11pm for 3 years now Recently replaced battery at authorized service center. Still works well, holding battery full day with 40% left at 9 pm

I still have my iPhone 11 Pro Max going to keep it for now because it’s still an incredible phone. But I think I will upgrade once the iPhone 14 pro Max comes out.

I upgraded to the 13 Pro Max from the 11 Pro Max only because Verizon gave me $800 to trade in my iPhone X that I had laying around. Honestly besides the camera being a bit better the 11 Pro Max is still one of my favorite iPhones to date. Verizon was also going to give me $800 for the 11 Pro Max but I love that phone so much that I honestly wouldn’t have traded it in. I just saw they were giving me the same for the iPhone X so I jumped the gun. The 11 Pro Max will be a good phone for another 3-4 years maybe more.

Gonna keep my iPhone 11 Pro Max for another year or 2 , love the 11 pro max

I had a 13 Pro Max for a few days. It was so big and heavy my hands would cramp by the end of the day. I swapped it for a 13 Pro which seems to be the perfect size for me.

If you don't use a case be sure you try the 13 pro max first as it's THAT worse compared to 11 pro max in ergonomics (own both).

I currently own the 11 promax, but I think I would like to upgrade mainly due to the promotion and more importantly the battery life. I find myself having the battery die by the end of the day and although it’s definitely due to my usage I think I’ll get a little bit further with the 13. Furthermore my battery health is down to about 92% I don’t think that’s necessarily all that bad but I’m definitely noticing

I have been using the 11 Pro Max since Dec / 2019. Honestly, I don't really use this device to it's full potential. My phone is still in very good condition and would probably get fair price for it on trade-in if I were to consider upgrading to the 13 Pro Max. That being said, I am looking forward to the iPhone 14 Pro. However, even that device (14 Pro) might not even be worth making the jump to upgrade. Thanks for the always informative videos!

I’m currently using the 11 Pro Max that I got way back April 2020. Now it has 83% battery health and it’s draining fast now. Not sure if this is due to the iOS 5.2.1 update or what, but it’s still capable. Maybe changing the battery will make this good as new again.

Mine is at 83% health as well, its still a pretty good battery compared to other phones I owned but not as good as I got used to when new so its starting to bother me, Im wondering if I should replace the battery or just get the newest model

@@ChillRainyDrives get the latest model if you can (budget wise), or wait for the 14. Otherwise, changing the battery is the best option

I’ve been using 11 pro max for nearly 1.5 years, I bought it when 12 pro max was about to launch in 1 or 2 weeks. Now 14 pro max has been launched, but I am not interested in 14 series I think after 11 pro max 13 pro max is the best upgrade for me or anyone who needs good quality camera, 14 series and 13 series have nearly the same camera result, so why 14 series. In my opinion 13 pro max is the option for now, later you can buy 15 series it will have some major changes, if you are not into the dynamic island you should for iphone 13 series. Soon I will buy 13 pro max it is the best upgrade from 11 pro max in my opinion.

AirPods 3 are only for people who hate the ear tips the AirPods Pro have If your cousin brother hates ear tips get him AirPods 3 if he likes eartips get AirPods pro

If you have the budget, go ahead and get the 13 pro max…but if you have a smaller budget, i don’t think you are skipping out on much going for the 11 pro max! I bought a refurbished 11 pro max a month ago and i adore the device! It is just like new, fast, spotless…also comes with both the charger and the earphones… most importantly, I don’t have any performance issues on it whatsoever, as i see some people talk about. Battery lasts me two days and i am a heavy heavy user. I don’t think that a money difference between 11 and 13 pro max is worth the upgrades!

I have Meg safe charge is it safe to use daily ? Some people say it might damage battery 🔋? I would appreciate if u share your thoughts ?

I currently have the iPhone 11 Pro Max and is still a beast today battery is great with great performance and the cameras are still really good and I prefer the rounded edges compared to the 13 series straight edges I’m gonna keep it for maybe couple more years

Been with iPhone 11 Pro Max about 1.4 years still battery health 96% holds 2 days have no problems or need to upgrade because there's pretty much only thing to upgrade that 120 hertz display nothing else.

11 pro max stunning battery life after 2.5 years I use it for everything. However will be upgrading to the iPhone 14 when my plan runs out in dec.

Same. I am going to get a 14 pro.

Ive upgraded form 11PM to the 13PM and the difference is quite significant. It feels much faster and thats not only due to 120hz

I wish they carried on doing the green as that’s one of the reasons I haven’t updated yet

I use the 13 pro. Would love to see comparison of 11 pro and 13 pro as I want to know if it was worth the upgrade. Aaron, you are the best!

It’s not worth the upgrade. My cousin upgraded from the 11 pro max to the 13 pro max and the only noticeable upgrade is the 120hz screen which isn’t worth it since that’s the only feature it can do. Anyways I’d imagine the same would be from the 11 pro to the 13 pro. Just the 120hz upgrade but the battery was always great on both devices

Camera quality means a lot to me in side-by-side to 13 Pro Max is obviously Superior. Having said that if you have an 11 Pro Max and take photos how many people are going to compare them side-to-side to a 12 or 13 to see the difference. All things considered the 13 is definitely the superior phone and being two generations advanced the photo differences are obvious although the 11:00 is still fabulous. I just got my iPhone 11pro max and am really enjoying it

I absolutely love my 11 PM! midnight green. I just can justify an upgrade for the price point and mine is still fantastic. I think the 13 PM is way too large in size and weight and with a case even worse. I feel the 11 PM is the perfect size phone. I will not be able to handle the 13 PM because of my carpal tunnel in my wrists.

Would love to see a 11 pro, 12 pro and 13 pro comparison video.

One of the main reasons I'm upgrading from 11 Pro Max to 13 Pro Max, apart from the serious camera improvements (I'm a journalist and photographer), is the 5G reception on the latter. That makes a huge difference depending on the cell service in your area (it regularly sucks in my town - LOL).

Wish they brought back the midnight green for the 13. Was easily the best color iPhone they ever released.

It’s my 4K tv wrong or, the stabilization on field test video was way better on the 11, as well the contrast in pictures? Another thing, I have a11 pro max and the microphone doesn’t sound so bad, well I don’t know.

@@zollotech I’ve been using the front facing for my KZread channel I’ll switch to the back since I’ve got a tripod and it will be easy I hope to switch them in the camera app

I upgraded from 11 pro max to 13 pro max, the screen brightness of 13 pro max is much higher in day to day use. Apple has increased the default brightness when using auto brightness and the screen on 13 pm looks fabulous!! as a result I don't think there's a huge difference in battery life on a day to day basis.. Even the speakers are much much better.. I read about noise cancelling missing on 13 series.. but the sound quality be it calls or just music is so much better on 13 pro max!! Go for it!!

Hi, do u think the difference in battery life between 11pm and 13pm is not much? Or is it noticeable? Is the difference in battery life “huge” to say the least?

@@khairulhafidz15 it’s not really huge.. processor is also powerful (does get hot while gaming and even camera use) in 13pm, so that and the brightness kinda make up ..

Still on the XS MAX wont change till next year at least, as i dont think theres be too much of a change really
