Both phones are great. It's a matter of which platform, design, and features you prefer. I've been a long-time iPhone user, but when I tried out the S21 Ultra last year, I ended up really enjoying it a lot more and have preordered the S22 Ultra.

It just really depends on what ecosystem you like. I like the Apple ecosystem. My hubby likes the Samsung eco. It really just comes down to personal preference. Both are incredibly good phones. You’ll be happy with either.

Well said. I cannot stand Apple interface but most people love it. My thing is spec wise, ram for instance, blows apple out of the water. Android is more customizable than apple as well and you can change more settings. Ended up getting an iPad pro for school and it drove me crazy (still a great product though).

I picked up a Samsung Galaxy S-22 Ultra back in April and I just love this phone because it checks off all the boxes that I need. Great display, good battery life and the S-pen that great for note taking and remote playback of videos. You can also use the S-pen as a remote control for taking pictures. I really enjoy my Samsung Galaxy S-22 Ultra phone!

Both are awesome phones. But i will go with S22 Ultra cuz if i have money to pay SUV, i would like to have four wheeled-car with a lot of new features rather than just a bigger vehicle

The S22 does it all. I use both platforms, and have for years. The S22 is always the one that comes out of my pocket the most, as I use the camera more than anything. Zoom is great on it.

@@yod2189 no it won't. They will both last a long time. The Galaxy S22 ultra is getting 4 years of updates and by the time it gets all the updates most will have the newest best phones of that year anyways.

@@VisionaryTech I haven't had any issues with battery on my Galaxy S20 Ultra and I have had it for 2 years. My phone still lasts more than a full day. I just ordered the Galaxy S22 Ultra and I will be getting it shortly. Most people upgrade every 2-4 years so it doesn't matter.

I just switched eco systems from Apple to Samsung but I may just keep switching back and forth when I get annoyed with one or the other.

I’ve done that a few times when I got bored with iOS but the grass isn’t greener on the other side. After a few weeks I’m always fed up with the inconsistency in android and lack of certain apple services (not googles fault) and switch back again

i’m very surprised by how far samsung has come along with cameras they truly are amazing i am on the iphone 13 pro max witch i am in love with but man that s22 ultra is no slouch anymore very well done phone

For my white/silver 13 pro max I use the body glove case.. it’s perfect for my iPhone and isn’t too bulky.. it comes with a wrist lanyard that I regularly have around my wrist like a bracelet and it’s save my iPhone from several drops which I had an issue with for my last black iPhone 13 pro max that had apples leather mag safe case on it. I had it in my back pocket and my iPhone somehow slipped out of my back pocket and took a small fall with the leather case on it and the lcd had broke I’m assuming because my iPhone then had this white screen that wouldn’t change out of no matter what.. so I went and bought a brand new white 13 pro max with the body glove case and I’m in love with it

Been a samsung guy forever, My wife and I upgraded to the iPhone 13 Promax and it is Awesome! Battery is unbelievably good! Images between the two are really not that discernable , The Awesome battery life was the determining factor!

I've had both now, after using Android for well over 4 years. Of course I'm more used to Android and thus found it easier to navigate the S22 Ultra than the iPhone 13 Pro Max, but for that same reason, getting to try out the iPhone was more exciting. Also the battery is a lot better on the iPhone; Been using it 6 hours screen-on according to the stats, and it's still at almost 50%, that is without any charging or battery saver. This could improve for the Ultra though, considering it does have a bigger battery. When it comes to photos, the Samsung can take higher resolution photos, but the iPhone takes the photos a lot quicker, and the final product really comes down to taste in processing. Both have raw though so you could just edit them yourself. Been having the 13 way shorter than the Ultra but at the moment I'm more impressed by the 13.

I literally just subscribed to your channel b/c you are only one of two KZread reviewers to even mention the call and connectivity capabilities of these phones - 5G, wifi 6E, etc. I've seen over 200 videos on the s22 ultra and none of them are talking about things that make a smartPHONE a good phone - which is call quality!

Both are amazing phones. I feel like Samsung has really upped their game this year. Love the design and it seems nice to use from when I tried one

As a long time galaxy user I think the opposite mate . Yes the chipsets and cameras display have improved just as a matter of being more up to date tech , but a lot of what made galaxy phones desirable over the years is gone In my view the last good galaxy modesl was the 9 series , I’m still using my note 9 which in a lot of ways makes the current galaxy’s and most phones on the market even today look very low rent. Despite some good updated tech in the best galaxy you can buy today , they are really a poor relative of older full featured models in my view .

I switched to S22 ultra over the last weekend from iPhone 12 mini and I must admit, I'm liking the change and freshness the android and brilliant screen brings forward. I still miss the iOS for the reliability it offers as I never suffered stutters in between as against android. Coming to the phone, I'm amazed with it's wide variety of features it offers. Nevertheless, both are great in their own grounds. So the user is pretty in the win-win situation if they buy either one of these.

Before getting the iPhone 13 I was using the iPhone 11 and I must say after watching your videos I made the right choice thank you Aaron

@@shazia2078 if you value 12 hour battery, excellent gaming performance, and best video quality stay with the 13 pro max The ultra has 8 hour battery life if you don't push it in my testing when I had the phone, but I returned it because when I played some games I'd get 5 hours of use before it fully drained Honestly the 14 pro max is right around the corner and will have autofocus on the front camera so there will be deciding between the two apple will be better for you imo🤷‍♂️

Nice quick comparison, I’m thinking of getting the S22 Utra as my second work phone and ditching the IPhone 12 mini . I’ll keep my iPhone 13 Pro max as main as the Apple Watch is vital to me and I even had it try and call emergency when I fell recently. Don’t forget anyone buying the S22 Ultra , you only get 8 Gb Ram on the 128 GB storage one , 12 GB Ram are on the others. Many complaints about the camera shutter speed for the S22 Utra so you will probably see updates quickly. Both phones are great in my opinion and either one is a good option.

Why not both? (If you can afford it). That aside, the Anker Nano II (the 65 watt) is good charger for my laptop based on my use.

I have used both ecosystems. I currently have an iPhone 13 pro max and considering changing to the s22 ultra. I like IOS and its simplicity but also like the customization of the S22 ultra. I really can't decide.

Thank you for this video. I have been a Samsung use for years (for phone. All of personal computers are Apple) and I am considering switching to the iPhone. The Samsung audio, when you were using the forward facing camera is much better IMO.

I’m a big Samsung guy but I got the 13 pro max when it came out and I’ve still got it with no case and it’s amazing but I am looking for a second phone I’m thinking off the note 22 ultra.

This was helpful. I've got an iphone6, the first model on the market. It's been solid, but with the recent update has slowed down to annoyance level. The button is a bit iffy and the screen not as responsive. I purchased it in 2016, so I was impressed that it lasted this long. My prior purchase was an iphone4 that I got in 2011, and I upgraded when teh button died. Starting to think Android though, lots of friends using it, work phones are Android, there's a few quirks in Apple that annoy me, but change is hard. Might need to just have courage though. :-D

Best unbiased content to date… incredible comparison photos… Loved your positive and confident-instilling criticisms and commentaries of each device… I have been a devout Note owner since the Galaxy 5 series of devices… I love my Apple computers and my 5th gen iPad Pro… but detest Apple phones. I love the serious customization Android, and in particular, Samsung, offers the consumer without compromise… “I” (said with emphasis) purchased this/these devices… and feel that the manufacture’s reach ends pretty much at the point of sale. I too love FaceID… but Samsung has really stepped-up their game on all fronts, and ALWAYS has, hands-down, the best displays, period. I truly believe if we are asked to shell out over a thousand USD’s for anything, be it a fountain pen or an S Pen enabled device (or Apple Pencil, in some regards), then we, the consumer should be FREE and have very little limit-restricted libert(y/ies), if any at all, to use products as uniquely as each individual of whom the purchased item deems. Sure, easy-of-use is a welcome hallmark, but when making big purchases, be it a car/SUV, house, or what have you, why would anyone want theirs to be “cookie-cut?!” And mobile devices at this price point are no different. Again, great content. SUBSCRIBED!

Android won this. The iPhone dropped so much in the camera test compared to last year. Android really has done a good job, whilst iPhone just keeps on doing what they do, which is make a new design, with the same parts.

Someone’s a major Android fanboy who doesn’t know too much about iPhones😂

Got an s21 when they came out and I swear for a time I thought it was fake or used which didn't make sense given that at the time it was just out. The battery life was just horrendous.. lasting about 5hrs tops whenever I used media apps and games. Going to sleep on a full charge I'd wake up with it around 80% or similar. But the reviews said it lasted a day+. Many other people had the same issue as well when I checked on Reddit so I really hope this issue is resolved on the s22

Apple for me feels better because of how smooth the apps are. iOS updates and ecosystem I enjoy. Also battery optimization is better on iOS.

Awesome video!! I have to say that Samsung had come a long wsy n the last couple of years with their Galaxy S series of smartphones. In the end though it comes down to preference though with these phones you will not be disappointed as both these phones are the best in their respective brands.

I have both. I normally get the newest Samsung phones as a secondary phone but this time around Im considering putting my primary sim in the device. The only deterring factors are the apple ecosystem and worse battery life. Other than that the S22 Ultra is amazing. The display is fantastic.

I have the S22 Ultra and the battery life is great. A full charge can last me a day and a half. With any phone it really depends on how you are using your phone as to how long the battery will last.

@@Actionjac1 this is true. But once you use the iPhone 13 pro max it’s clear who the battery champ is. All the tests you’ll find online show at least 2 hours extra battery life on average per day. After recent updates the S22 Ultra battery has improved and should last most people a full day.

With the photo comparison, sometimes I prefer the results from the iPhone then again I like the S22U's results. There were a few to where I didn't prefer either lol guess it all boils down to preference. Awesome review!

I got the iPhone 13 Pro Max about a month ago, I absolutely LOVE it. My husband was an android man when I met him, that has since changed. I love the OS of Apple, it is so simple and smooth. It is very responsive and quick. The camera has also been a massive upgrade from the iPhone 11 that I had previously. The upgrade to 5G from the previous 4G has been amazing. I did have the iPhone XS Max as well, I still have it and still use it, I have noticed the 13 Pro Max is slightly heavier than the XS Max. I love the stainless steel design and how seamless it is. I’ve been a loyal iPhone user for years and I don’t plan to change that any time soon.

For me aesthetics first and premium level, iPhone all the way I love my 13 pro max going back to 6s plus - still going well

While I love the whiz bang features, great speed, advanced cameras, etc., the most important thing to me in a phone is that I can pick it up, turn it on, and it just works - reliably and in a familiar way - so that I never have to open a manual or run to KZread to learn how to do something common. For me, that is why iPhone wins. I get great technology with very low risk going with Apple. With the prices of high-end phones these days, I need to plan on keeping and using the phone for around 3 years. For peace of mind, and maximum productivity, for me, that means Apple.

Watching this on my S22 Ultra, with no regrets.

I really wish they would make an ultra with a flat screen. Now THAT would be 🔥

I would wait month or so to see if they can dial that battery in with updates on the ultra. We already know what beast the battery in iPhone is

the s22 ultra doesnt have a LIDAR, its called auto focus. and yes theyre very diffirent. lidar used to create depth map which can help with portrait shots, unlike autofocus which uses a simple laser to judge distance on a point.

The 2 phones are amazing. It really depends on if you like apple or Samsung.

+zollotech instead of using real racing 3 ( a game that hasn’t been graphically updated since the iPhone 5’s debut ) as a graphics comparison, try Simple rockets 2. Its by far the most demanding CPU and GPU application on mobile and shows a clear and defined difference in performance.

Looks like the Anker Nano II doesnt support Super Fast Charging 2.0. Maybe you need to try a different cable.

I've had an iPhone 13 Pro Max since October. Just bought the green S22U. I just don't personally care for iOS. As far as camera I'd say for photos Samsung for video iPhone.

@@connordavis2142 I'm using my iPhone for my business number now and my Samsung for my personal number. They trade blows but if I had choose between them I'd still choose the Samsung. The battery doesn't keep up with the iPhone but it has improved with updates.

Great video Aaron, I think I will stick to my iPhone 13 Pro Max because Apple continues to offer support for it device for about seven years whilst Samsung has a limited number of four years and above all if you’re an iOS fun it very difficult to move to android. That my opinion.Thanks

Apple continues to support those old iPhones and you check it for ur self, when was iPhone 6s released and how many years now

Just get my iphone 13 pro max due to broken of my S20+. Miss that S20+ can that iPhone can’t by the time of this reply : 1) Dual physical SIM cards slot. 2) Arrange app icon anywhere but auto arrangement 3) Lock the home screen layout 4) Scrolling screenshot for any apps 5) More folder options to store files 6) Better pdf. Can get a pdf for free from any apps by print in pdf format. 7) Fingerprint bio pass. Face detection does not work well with a mask on face. 8) Multiple selection directly from gallery. It’s really stupid and anti-human to press a select button to do so on iPhone. 9) To close all active apps by click a button. This very convenient before you pass the phone to someone to have a look. 10) More comfortable to hold in hand due to the narrower width. Features from iPhone I liked: 1) Photos look up 2) Bottom Address bar of Safari Overall, I still prefer my Samsung galaxy.

how do you add the thermometer to the iphne screen like i see you have on your iphones

I have a 13pm and I love it but that s22u looks mighty good my last galaxy was a s21u it was great but the battery the optimization the cameras the performance the long support and accessories you can get with apple is unmatched

I had the s21 ultra and now have the s22 ultra and all that u said performance cameras battery etc....s21 ultra I used to have was all day battery and could last till the next day and cameras and performance was 100% strong!my s22 ultra is even better on all counts.iphones can't match samsung nomore.times have changed!

@@pedrovelezjr5195 if you said that while not talking about the battery I'd agree, but the iPhone literally demolishes Samsung phones in battery. Sorry to say. Im a Samsung fan because I need android to do what I want. I also need a pen built in to the phone. Samsung has iPhone beat on a lot of things, but battery it simply does not.

@@HOBOsnake battery is 1 thing and like always iphone users are taking just that and blowing it up like samsung batteries don't last at all when thats not even the case.my s22 ultra can last me a easy full day of heavy use into the next day without a charge.

@@HOBOsnake and like I said times have changed.apple is not top dog nomore like 10 years ago.apple lost that spot as soon as samsung started making they screens for them.

Both phones look great. Since I’m in the apple ecosystem I’m staying with iPhone. Can’t wait to see what apple gives us this fall because I’m 13 Pro Max is awesome.

@@mightymouse1780 it's over rated to be honest ...they have issues just like android ....I had and iPhone 12 pro max ...the battery health dropped to 89 percent after only 6 months ......there not made to truly last ....and the longer u keep em ...ya battery life gets worst ,you get less off the new features ,and ya phone starts to act wonky ....but they never tell that part

13 pro max wins for me. Better battery life. Imagine iPhone with a 5,000 mah battery. Should last you a week!

@@abubakarmuhammad3857 the iphone 13 pro max has a lower MAH battery but its last longer than the Note The note has 5000Mah battery the 13 pro max has a 4352Mah battery Now imagine if the Iphone had a 5000Mah

Buying into an ecosystem restrains you from exploring options that may be better than your current product. Yes, there are benefits like seamless integration but there are also big disadvantages, especially when a needed feature isn't available on your seamlessly integrated device. Just use what works best for the task you're wanting to accomplish.

I always noticed Samsung Galaxy S lines doesn’t take good pictures of persons, that what kept me with the Pixel phones. I now got s22 Ultra & it’s the same problem but pictures of anything seem to be fine. Is it the ones for my country or are we messing up some settings

What about the auto focus of the front cam?

@zollotech I've been using both. A majority of the Apps works very well on #iOS than #Android. But iOS has gotten so boring with not having any real differences since iOS7. I'm never bored with Android and #S22Ultra. Since the rest of the family and coworkers use #iPhone I often use it as a default device.

I am currently waiting for the iPhone 14 Pro Max. As I have had the S20 Ultra for thr past 2 years and it in thr long term has not been great...

Yeah I felt the same I have owned all the ultra phones and have the 22 ultra pre-ordered and the s20 ultra was by far the worst I myself enjoyed the note 20 ultra the best so I'm really excited to get the note 22 ultra I mean s

i switched from Iphone to Sasmung s22 ultra, always has a Samsung, i tried iphone but prefer android , can't complain about the phone at all!!

had some one try to back up 30,000 photos from an iphone??? its a nightmare.

Both are great phones, I have the iPhone 12 pro max, though love the extra customisation on the s22 ultra and it’s periscope zoom. Though I’ve heard of shutter lag on the s22u as well as screen issues with phones using the Exynos chipset

yes shutter lag happen a lot on androids in general compared to ios its just fast and snappy

Until they offer a 6'9 inch screen and a Micro SD slot on a Samsung smartphone like I have on my Note20 Ultra again I don't think I can buy another Samsung smartphone 🤔. So I have to say the iPhone 13 Pro Max is better then the S22 Ultra.

Also the Note20 will still get the same updates as the S22 Ultra until Android 13 or 14. So really you aren't getting much of an upgrade.

Apple could easily incorporate multitasking, Always on display, usb c, customization, etc… why they don’t is beyond me. I have a hand me down iPhone as a back up device, but my sim card is always in an Android because I can customize the phone to my liking and needs.

I still don’t know what’s best for me. I want both. I would like to have the S22 with the smoothness, video recording capabilities and battery life from the iPhone or the iPhone with 10x telephoto and more customization and features.

While the S22 has a slight edge on zoom and close up focus however over all lacks color vibrancy the 13 Pro has. Only in a car have I occasionally wanted a little brighter backlight with the 13 Pro but this with a lot of glare that only a matte screen could compensate for. Arron, you’ll have to be the final arbitrator of the color rendering. Either Apple has rose color glasses filter that match my memory and the S22 a grey filter like an aged VHS or it’s the more true render in my judgment. Thorough comparison. 👍🏼
