I would say any option is good cause camera is great and the HDR Dolby Vision is so good when you make some editing. I'm uploading several test for that and couldn't been happier with the results. Love the Cinematic feel :D

iPhone 12 has the same quality for almost all shots except on night mode. So i think it’s worth buying,

To be honest: All photos look almost the same. The only difference is the telephoto lens a bit better low light quality in the 12 pro max.

Lyndon Coleman correction it’s only an extra 130$ if consider it has 128gb base storage instead of 64gb if you live in the US. 130$ more for a telephoto lens, 50% more ram and a 200nits brighter display is 100% worth the extra 130$ it over the regular iPhone 12.

@@The1Odis If you can afford the 12 Pro, I definitely agree it's worth the upgrade over the 12. Coming from a XS Max, the 128GB of storage and 6 gigs of ram was a no brainer for me...as far as the 12 Pro Max, the price difference between the 12 Pro isn't worth it imo. Plus, the phone is just too damn big & heavy for a daily driver.

Glad I’ve got the 12 Pro than the 12 Pro Max. A good sweet spot within the iPhone 12 line up is getting the 12 Pro 256GB model.

I just got my 12pro max. While checking out its camera in the night mode, it has small dots. Any solution?

How do you do “macro shots” on the new 12 Pro Max??? I would love to know and get useful tips! I use the main camera to get close to things but it seems to be having trouble to focus on the object unlike when I had my 11 Pro Max, I didn’t have that issue, I would have to use the 2.5x lens (telephoto) to get “closer shots” and it actually focuses on the object, can someone help? Maybe it’s a software thing? Or maybe something I’m not doing right?

It’s worth it for the bigger screen alone. 12 pro max user here. Loving the shit out of it. The battery is INSANE. guys, it’s worth it.

Love the comparison of the 12 Pro vs. 12 Pro Max! Did you take any night mode/star photos comparing the pro models while on a tripod for a full 30 second exposure? As someone who lives in the NW and loves camping, I would love to know how those 2 compare as I am trying to balance the small form factor, but the best low light photos possible.

I have not heard anyone talking about selfie camera from these latest Iphone 12, Pro and pro max that seems very odds when processing, it makes your face looks very shiny and also reflect all the imperfections, unlike the iPhone XS model. Don't seem to have anyone talking about it

I must say, thanks for this! I was considering getting a 12 Pro Max for the upgraded camera, even though I hate the size of it, but now I've decided I'll just stick with the regular 12 Pro.

I tried both for a bit. You get used to the size, but you don’t get used to the weight. The differences between the cameras are negligible in most situations. In some limited cases, the Max is better but also sometimes the Pro is better. Especially when your phone is close to the thing you’re taking a picture of (which happens a lot).

Trust me, there is nothing “regular” about the iPhone 12 Pro 😂 the standard 12 and 12 pro are so good that you don’t even need the gigantic 12 pro max.

For the first photo I think the problem is that the Pro Max got his focus on the sky while the other two phone got their focus on the car. You can see it by the fact that the car in the 12 Pro and 12 shot is brighter.

I think a software patch will fix this by the 2nd quarter in 2021

I expected a little more from the stabilization as well. I got the 12 pro max for the 4G speed, new battery, and new edges

I have the 12 promax although I haven’t used it because I’m still using my 11 promax I just feel like the 12 promax is just too big bigger than the 11 promax so I don’t know if I’m going to return it and just get the regular 12 pro but I guess I’m just worried about my camera being different when it takes pictures

Upgraded to the 12 pro max from the 8 and I’ve got to say it’s amazing. As a person who usually killed my 8’s battery by the night when on low power mode all day. I usually end the day around 30% battery not on low power mode. Also, love the huge screen and amazing camera updates. 5G isn’t that gr8 yet but in the next 2-3 yrs will get much better.

How is this possible ? If the cameras on 12 pro and 12 pro max are the same ?

I'm guessing your photos were hand held and were not utilizing screen focus/white balance. That could easily create differences between all images.

I get the biggest iPhone every time, like the screen real estate, but coming off XS Max to 12 Pro Max I absolutely LOVE the camera, especially 2.5 zoom

I have been waiting for this video, there only one or two video on KZread comparing the 12 pro and pro max but they have done a lot of editing on the video like colour grading. All the other are comparing the 11 pro max and the 12 pro max.

I wasn't too sure which I should get, the pro or pro max. Seems like there's not too much of a difference. I like the smaller phone but I want to use it's camera somewhat professionally, so if there was more a difference, I'd maybe go for the pro max but I think I'm good with the pro. What’s interesting is that at 26mm Pro Max and regular Pro seem to have the same perspective, where Max should have more “zoomed in” background. 🤷🏼‍♂️

I hear that the pro max takes night shots faster. Is that true?

The real question is whether one is ready to carry around such a huge phone as the 12 pro Max. Went for the 12pro. If the 12pro Max also had a larger tele sensor and a larger ultra wide sensor, I wouldn't have resisted. Like that I am glad I went for the smaller pro: the computational photography and the excellent ProRaw format are just the same in both.

I got both but can you do a speaker review it seems pro max has better speaker

Thank you for the camera comparison review. I was going to buy the mini but ended up with a pro because of the lidar sensor and not regretting. What l really want.... iPhone 12(13) Pro Mini would be great considering the Pro model usually would last a bit longer on its battery life like the 12 Pro over the 12.

i still don't know which one should i buy.. i expect the 13 pro and 13 pro max will be identical as much as the 12 and 12 pro max.. i had 12 pro max in my hand and i think its too big for me.. so idk yet do i want a slightly better camera and more battery life over the comfort of 13 pro

Larger screen, bigger battery and the stabilizer sensor is what sold me on the max

Nice video but some flaws... listed below! But the video did help me make a buying decision! :) So thank you! I went with the Pro! @ 0:27 - There is clearly a cloud in front of the sun in the ProMax photo so the ProMax gets "better light"! You can see the plain or Jet or whatever it is, is not in the same place in the Fotos! @0:42 - The background is a clear difference but again, the textures on the jacket are because of "better lighting"! See there is more sunlight on the whole jacket on the ProMax then on the Pro.

It’s not just the bigger sensor. It’s a better lasting longer screen, bigger screen

On your 12 pro max lit night photos it looks to my eye the difference is due to the 12 pro max over exposing the image slightly. It’s likely that the software needs more tweaking for the pro max camera to obtain best results. Some of your other pro/pro max comparisons are pretty close.

Thanks so much for the real life comparisons ! This is quite interesting and valuable ! Unless you are into special photo situation often or situations that are critical, the many dollars do not see to buy you a "quantum" leap difference. Coming from the past on the "6" it looks like the 12/12 Mini would do the job given the money to spend. Thanks again for this very informative video !

The deciding factor for me is the phone with the biggest screen. At my age having a large screen is a priority and I’m coming from a XS max

I am so stuck. I think the 12 (normal) 128 GB is the standard choice for me, but I'm getting it unlocked, so there is only a $120 difference. So then I settled on the 12 Pro. But then I did more research on the Pro Max bc everyone was calling it oversized, and the 7 Plus and 8 Plus are only 2 millimetres smaller than the Pro Max. Now I'm so confused, the plus's were great, but now I'm on the smaller XR (in total size) which I really like the 6.1-inch size of. At this point, I'm leaning towards the Pro bc it isn't that different from the Pro Max for the camera, and the larger screen isn't rlly necessary for me. I guess I'm deciding between getting either the second best or The best. Any recs on how to make the decision?

The battery life is legit the same regardless of the smaller battery. You might get like an extra 15 minutes out of the 11 under heavy heavy usage but IMO you should probably wait for the 13 bro

@@kyler24mahoney15 If you don't use your phone for watching too many HD videos, or play graphic-intensive games for too long, the 12 Pro will last you all day. If you're worried about battery life I'd recommend the Max though, it will last all day as well, but i will have about 15% more life than the Pro. I know that because I have the Max while my brother has the Pro (hands are too small, he's only 12). Also, the battery on the Max will age better than the Pro. For eg, say 2 years down the line, if the Pro has about 80% total battery left, the Max will have about 90%

@@billct657 it's only a smaller aperture in the telephoto camera, because it can zoom in further. very minor differences you will hardly notice any change between the two phones in day to day use.
