iPhone 12 Pro Max Data Recovery - The Frustration is Real.

I was not sure if I wanted to upload this video. I got so frustrated that by the end of the day my back was aching. In the end however, I realized that there was still a lot of information to be shown here. Particularly, many may be interested in viewing the splitting of the iPhone 12 Pro Max board, as that has not been shown in many places, if at all. Data Recovery is successful despite the difficulty and time it took. I hope that not all 12 jobs will be this difficult.

0:15:00 - Sandwich board split beginning
0:24:34 - Sandwich board lifts
0:36:30 - Identifying a board short
0:45:20 - Pulling corroded components
1:08:30 - Remembering I have a donor board
1:25:15 - Fixing pads and making jumpers
1:45:30 - Replacing missing chips
2:09:20 - Finding a burnt component
2:20:50 - Breaking and then replacing a chip
2:40:00 - Running a jumper for touch
2:58:45 - Frustrated and almost give up
2:59:03 - INCORRECTLY assuming I need bottom board
2:59:30 - Finally seeing apple logo and full boot

Hi, can you share a link to where I can purchase the C-Mount and Camera you're using for the Microscope.
I clean the board good and still battery terminal is shorted ground to positive line so do I have main vdd line short? I just need data off can I split the board and connect top board only ?

That is the hardest part and the part most overlooked. The ability to just stay there until the job is done is huge for data recovery.

This video was created and released 6 months after the release of the 12 pro max. There was no information at that time about this device, no board view, no schematics. Now there is a bunch of information and full board views with full net names. Now I know a lot about this device that I didn't know at that time.
Apple succesfully frustating technician. Why would they make it no image without rf board
