    There’s a new shortcut in the Gallery called Remember This that I think other seniors might find useful. I’ve been using it, and love it! Essentially, when you have something you want to remember later, or if you just want to take a moment to be “present”, run this shortcut. It simply asks you to add a bit of text, asks if you want to take a photo too, and automatically creates a Note. Done! The note is automatically titled What Happened Today with the date. If you use it more than once each day, it adds to the note for that day-short phrase, picture. Brilliant for short term memory recall or just minfullmess.

    @@lindahealey6992: this short cut is called Remember This, good one however there may be a bugged in the iOS software. When you enter one text, it is ok but when enter second text of the same day I got this error: "Couldn't communicate with a helper application". This may take a while to figured out WHY and how to fix it. Thank lindahealey6992. (best regards)

    I have made some customized screen shots, based on your videos about GTD, to share with my senior friends . Would be more than happy to share them with you but do not see a way to attach them in comments. At eighty four, I love, love , love your videos and share them with many of my peers. I am a cross platform techie and use an android phone & watch and an ipad. My crossplatform go to apps and devices have been Evernote, I-Pages and Alexa and now a host of widgets and Siri & BIXBY assistants. All together they help are a huge help with my memory deficits and a spur to creativity; its like a box of new toys for a toddler. Joy & Enjoy

    Wow! Thanks so much! And thanks for giving a peek at your productivity system. Your comment has me thinking that maybe I should do a video on how I match all my tech together too. Once you have a system that works, you can not only remember things, but get things done. My son in law also uses cross-platform tech. He has a Samsung phone, a Windows computer and an iPad. And he's got it all working smoothly. Thanks so much for watching!

    I really enjoy and learn from your KZread videos! Keep them coming. However I did find that on my older ipad mini, I cannot clear the wallpaper by dragging multiple apps to a single as you do on the larger ipad. I accomplished the clean up anyway - just doing it one at a time.

    Excellent information and presentation. I have a 2018 iPad Pro. I have the home screen arranged the way I want it (just icons, no widgets yet), but every time I install an upgrade, or just restart, all the icons are scattered over multiple screens. Even my folders disappear and those icons are also scattered. The dock is not affected. I have searched for a solution (that’s how I found you) but have been unsuccessful. I do not have this problem with my iPhone 14Pro, nor my iPad Mini6. If you or any of your viewers have any suggestions, I would be very appreciative. Thank you.

    I have followed your suggestion to simply my homescreen. I have used the new squares to put all my widgets into and it puts it where it wants. Two question; I have two links what will not go into the squares, do you know why? Also, can I create my own squares for my widgets to go into? will it still search and bring them up? Roger of Orlando

  • @RichBowlin

    @RichBowlin

    Жыл бұрын

    Hi Roger. Not sure why you can't add a widget to a widget stack (I think that's what you mean). You can create your own stacks a number of ways. One easy way is to add the square widget to the home screen. Then add another square widget to the home screen and then drag one widget on top of the other. Now you have a stack of two widgets and can swipe between them. Not you just repeat that process and you're good to go. Hope this helps!

    You can drag them to the home screen buy tapping the icon and holding for a second or two. Then just drag the icon to the right side of the iPad and it will slide onto the home screen. Take your finger off as soon as it slides to the Home Screen. It takes a little practice to do this. Hope this helps!
