IoT Based Battery Monitoring System Using ESP8266 & Arduino IoT Cloud
Ғылым және технология
In this project, we will build a Battery Status Monitoring System using ESP8266 & Arduino IoT Cloud. Using this system we can monitor battery voltage and percentage from anywhere in the world. Therefore, this system is useful for monitoring battery charging /discharging status remotely.
In this IoT-based Battery Monitoring System, we will use the NodeMCU ESP8266 board to send the battery status data to the Arduino IoT cloud. The IoT Cloud Dashboard will display the battery voltage along with the battery percentage in both the charging and discharging conditions.

It's ok project, just you need to add one line in definition: int bat_percentage so it can be successful compiled.
Thank you so much. pretty easy!
Your video is very helpful. Is there a way to show the battery percentage more consistently because the battery percentage keeps increasing and decreasing and decreasing and increasing. For example, 78% increased to 79% and then decreased to 78% similarly for other battery levels. It is not as stable as shown on the phone, the battery percentage displayed on the phone is by default decreasing when not charging, and the battery percentage on this one increases and decreases when not charging.
Can i use this project in liquid acid battery? Thanks for the help.
It is a good video. But can the ESP8266 be used in a bigger application? Eg: A 50.4 V lithium polymer battery being discharged on a load bank. When battery reaches critical volage level the alarm will ring or a warning will appear in the Arduino screen.
Can i use 12v Batt?
voltage source not needed?
can i use 9v battery?
Thanks u , buti have a question, my input have a lot of disturbs, in fact the voltage swings between from 3.79 to 4.0 (in this case the battery voltage was 3.97 with tester). I donàt know how i can improve the accuracy

maybe try to shield it from EMF spikes cause by ambient lighting or other electrical source? Enclose the ESP and TP in shielded box to see if that changes anything. Also, use multimeter and measure voltage at R1 and R2 to get more specifics to use in VIN calculation for your specific devices/environment.
Sir can we use same thing for 7s bms system
Can i not use the 2 resistors?
I have been facing the espcomm-upload-mem failed problem.how to solve this problem??
Hi I did your setup, but i only used the ESP board with 1 batt 18650@3.2v. no TP4056 Charging Module But on the dashboard the batt voltage and the percentage are the same value (21) how to show the voltage on the batt gauge and the percentage separate.

Same problem How to clear it help me.
thank you for this video it helped me a lot. I have a problem regarding charging , when I charge it the tp4056 gets heat for some reason, if you know why please enlighten me with your knowledge

Hummm, I would check the specs on the charger itself and make sure its DC output (volts and amps) is not higher than the TP4056 can manage. Read the specs.
Can I directly connect the output of charging module to esp pin without using the two resistor ?

when the battery is fully charged it is at 4.2V, this will burn your 3.3V ESP Analog port used to measure it if connected directly.
Excellent video. How to charge or discharge the battery in this setup?
