Useful video Aaron! I just finished installing ios 17.3. My favourite feature is the stolen device protection. I've enabled it and am extremely glad Apple added another security feature.

Perhaps Apple should allow customers to change the delay... 1 hour is not long enough when traveling or out and about. This should be set to a day.

i think that what you describe as wallpaper saturation bug is simply the ios switching to the lockscreen version of your chosen wallpaper when you drop down the notification area it is more noticeable with other wallpapers and less with others

Wow it got released on my birthday, I hope it is good to my battery. Just got the 15 PM last Wednesday.

I was surprised that the Stolen Device Protection feature was not added to the 17.3 version for the iPad. I'd like to see that added since I do take my iPad out of the house from time to time, and I always take it with me when I travel. I am glad that they added that feature for the iPhone though!

I installed the update right away. The wallpaper dimming issue is no longer there. No notification bug or problems.

9:45 Odd, the wallpaper desaturation bug on the Home Screen isn’t happening to me now. I have a pretty colourful wallpaper and it was noticeable when it would desaturate over the course of about a second after going to the Home Screen. But I’ve tested it a handful of times now looking at it very, very closely and it’s not changing at all any more.

17.3 has been a disaster battery vise ever since it came out. Im on 14PM with 100% BH and percentages are just dropping like crazy with regular use. DO NOT UPDATE. I repeat, DO NOT. 😢

My standby time has been horrible since I updated to 17.3 on my iPhone 12. It dropped 20% from a full charger just overnight on standby. Never happened until the update, my phone always held a charge overnight, maybe dropping 2 or 3% sometimes. This update ruined that for me, not sure what I can do about it. It’s really bugging me.

Is the battery life on the iphone 12 pro better on ios 17.3 or ios 17.2.1?

I think that Apple could improve their messaging service by adding a scheduled texting feature. It's a small addition that can save a lot of time and provide some peace of mind for users. I have both an Android phone and an iPhone, and personally, I find texting on the Android to be more efficient. I hope that Apple considers adding this feature in a future update.

This is gonna be the first update in a while that im gonna hold off on, seeing how 17.2 and 17.2.1 really tanked my 15PM battery i fear its going to tank it even further so we'll see how it is on the weekend follow up

Can you try to take a look at the wallpaper options? When I try using the BLUR option for home screen, it has latency.

@zollotech I'm residing in the Caribbean & completed the update, but I've noticed Face ID & Passcode isn't available. Could this be a possible region block for the feature outside of the USA?

Aaron, I had a weird issue where when I would take a screenshot to send to someone via messages the green send button would be greyed out and I would have to go back into the screenshot again or delete the screenshot and than try it again and it would work. It seems to be a random bug and it doesn’t happen all the time but it does happen enough to notice it? I wonder if this update fixes that. ❤😂

Im hearing that it’s advised to turn off backtap because if not it will put u in a loop when installing. Is this true?

iOS 17.3 is the same build as iOS 17.3 RC. If you are on iOS 17.3 RC you just had it 1 week early and its exactly the same. If you don't want to continue receiving betas then turn off beta updates. Otherwise expect a new beta in a day or so.

I guess stolen device feature isnt on se 2022 phone. The option doesnt show up on mine. I prob wouldnt have used it anyways.

Thanks for the update videos, which are really awesome! After installing iOS 17.3 I just noticed that downloading and installing the apps are in sequential (one at a time). Before 17.3 it would download multiple apps at the same time and install the app one at a time. Is anyone else noticed this?

I started to have charging problem with my left AirPod pro even though I did resetting, it still occurs sometimes. This issue started with 17.2.1. I hope there will be an update to AirPods Pro soon

I like to point out that if you have disabled changes to the passcode through the "Content & Privacy Restrictions", the "Face ID and Passcode" option will not appear in the setting screen. You will need to set the Passcode Changes setting to "Allow", and then the "Face ID and Passcode" option will appear in the settings screen.

My Face ID hasn’t worked since I updated 17.2.1 in December. Many have this problem and there’s no fix :(

​@@nishant98 Yes, you can disable the option to change the passcode after enabling the new security features. I would also disable account changes too, BUT if you disable account changes, you disable your ability to access account settings which allow to perform manual backups to the iCloud and to manage subscriptions. Once a month I enable my account setting to perform a manual backup and once this is done, I disable access to my account. Now if your phone is unlocked when stolen, the thief cannot change the password of your Apple account and then access it online. Note that to change the Consent and Privacy Restrictions options you will be required to create a new passcode that is different than your screen unlock code. To verify that your account is blocked from access, your account settings at the top of the main settings screen should be grayed out. Also note that you should do this on all your IOS devices.
