Invisible Retainer Pontic Tooth Lesson #97 Szara Dental

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

How to make a pontic tooth if you don't have one. I demonstrate how I pour a tooth in this orthodontic lab lesson. First I duplicate a tooth and pour in monomer and polymer (tooth shade acrylic). The results speak for themselves! Check out other ortho lab lessons on my channel

    Hey, I really enjoy watching your videos. I've been doing lab work for about 45yrs. I enjoy watching others and the different techniques they us for doing lab work. I'm old school and not as privi to all the new products and equipment. I don't care for the quick short cuts but I like to glean from the experience of others. Never too old to learn. Right now I'm training my son to take over and is coming along very well. I've always said that not everyone is cut out to be a lab tech. It takes a little artistic ability and attention to detail. I think he's going to be a good lab tech.

I went to dental assisting school after high school and I have since been a Orthodontic Assistant and creating smiles for 40 years. I love learning new ways to help our family of patients. I actually made a tooth mixing cements together one day. This looks like a great way to get a tooth in a hurry, Thank you!

    Oral surgery assistant, I make surgical guides for implant placement daily and Essix temporary here and there, but I do not have all the cool equipment you have like pour up trimmer. So I cut out teeth in the stone pour up and save the good ones to build up my selection. I only have rope wax to help me hold it in place. But I think I do a pretty good job with limited resources and teaching myself.

    Hi,😊Iam an RDA and after working for many years I decided to start a Dental Tech clases because I love this field. The Dr. use to count on me on placing a missing tooth on a clear retainer for implant pts. How do you make a mold of a tooth? I use to use crown formers or just fill in with flowable composite. By the way now I live in Ecuador.

    Hi Deb I just trim the tooth as a denture technician would do. I happen to be a denture tech also but have only been doing ortho. I use a baseplate wax from great Lakes Orthodontics #260-010 it's not expensive and does a fantastic job of holding teeth into place or waxing any wires into place. Also a little secret is to spray your wax with Wonder Freeze just prior to sucking down heated disc. It freezes the wax and doesnt move...bit.ly/2oYT8pV

    we save pvs molds sent to us and we use those as a matrix using tooth color acrylic so you can pour multiples and save them for later. I never tried an anterior tooth cause there is no translucency. However after seeing this video I will for essix with pontics.

All they have done is taken a scan of my mouth, no mold, and given me a retainer with some type of hardening material to look like teeth. ?? They did not do your process. It was $600 , to be worn for about 6 months before implants and bridge. That seems very high priced for such low. tech. ??

  • @SzaraDentalLab

    @SzaraDentalLab

    5 жыл бұрын

    Couple of ways. The most expensive is if your a candidate for a permanent implant. You'll need sufficient bone tissue for the implant. Second is a 1 tooth flipper. 3rd is an invisible retainer with a tooth added like this video. This is more temporary fix. We really only use these before a patient has an implant. The function is to hold the space while implant heals. It's very important that you do something soon. By allowing a space between teeth it allows your teeth to move and your gums will recede twice as fast. The outcome is you are going to lose more teeth soon. Hope this information helps you.
