What kind of separator do you use for your 3D models?
Hey, I really enjoy watching your videos. I've been doing lab work for about 45yrs. I enjoy watching others and the different techniques they us for doing lab work. I'm old school and not as privi to all the new products and equipment. I don't care for the quick short cuts but I like to glean from the experience of others. Never too old to learn. Right now I'm training my son to take over and is coming along very well. I've always said that not everyone is cut out to be a lab tech. It takes a little artistic ability and attention to detail. I think he's going to be a good lab tech.

Is it necessary to add the transparent thing?
Yes. It helps keep the appliance firmly in place during expansion otherwise it would constantly fall out and cause many unwanted emergency appointments
What's the blue ball for ?
It's to train the tongue to focus on something other than pushing forward on anterior teeth cause flaring!
You end up with a thicker retainer? Is 2-3 mm the goal?
What makes you so certain that tge acrylic is thicker than 2 to 3mm???
What amount of working time do you have? Too much time and you get bubbles....

Hi -- did you use a plastic material that bonds to the acrylic or will the undercut be sufficient?
A proper undercut will do the trick. I also use Great Lakes invisacryl which helps bond acrylic with biocryl

Thanks. It costs .50 a disc and saves me about 10 minutes per retainer. Only the edges get pumice and polished. Middle of retainer is finished😊
