Investiture of Sister Maria Antonia of the Holy Wounds of Jesus
Last year on October 18, Sr. Maria Antonia of the Holy Wounds of Jesus received the habit of St. Clare. It is a path she believes Jesus chose for her, and it was the answer to her prayer. Mother Mary Angela, abbess of the Poor Clare Monastery in Roswell, chose her name, which pleased Brianna because she had a lifelong devotion to St. Anthony of Padua.
“We’re very happy she’s so joyful,” Donna, her mother, said. “In every picture, she has the biggest beaming smile on her face.”

She is a Poor Clare Collentine, or their abbreviation is, P. C. C. I did a Live In as an Aspirant (wore a Postulant brown dress, and Brown Veil. Yes, I did wear a white blouse. It's a Beautiful Life indeed. The place I was at, was St Joseph's Monastery in Aptos, CA. The Sister's were P. C. C. as well. More updated Monastery. Now the Sisters joined their 'Sister' community in Los Altos, CA. I Truly miss them. ⚘️💕✝️
Loved reading her story and her love of Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament. Prayers for her cloistered life, the other sisters and prayers for her family. As a momma to grown children, my heart hurts a little for her parents, but seeing her beaming smile, it is undeniable she is where God has called her to be.

I'm sorry: I'm Catholic to my core, but I have to question the value of nuns (or monks) living in sequestered isolation like this. The world is desperately short of Catholic front-line troops to help address its massive problems, and it just seems an unjustifiable waste for any members of dwindling religious orders to effectively hide away. I know they pray and stuff, but faith and good works, you know?

They are the support staff for those in the front lines in the same way that Mary was for Christ and the Apostles. The Church and the world need their sacrificial prayers.
