First Profession of Sister Maria Antonia of the Holy Wounds of Jesus
On November 1, 2023, solemnity of All Saints, our eldest novice, Sister Maria Antonia of the Holy Wounds of Jesus, professed her first vows (chastity, poverty, obedience, and enclosure), receiving the black veil and knotted cord at the profession ceremony within Holy Mass. The Mass was celebrated by Bishop Peter Baldacchino (bishop pf the Diocese of Las Cruces), with Father Daniel Cardo (pastor of Holy Name Parish in Denver) and Father Larry Bernard, O.F.M., (chaplain of the Roswell Poor Clares) concelebrating. Much to our joy, numerous family and friends were able to attend. We are so happy to have this video, beautifully made by one of Sister's friends, to share with you, and to commemorate our Sister's espousals to Jesus Christ, the Most High King.

The beauty within her is truly illuminating. There is no doubt she has seen the face of God and heard His voice calling her to Himself.
What a radiant and contagious smile Sister Maria Antonia expresses. Her First Profession brought me to tears and brings me hope to see a young woman find her home in a Traditional Catholic Monastery. I will keep her and the rest of the sisters in my prayers. We must support and pray for more Vocations for this treasure to remain flourishing. Salve Maria!

Sister you look so beautiful and serene. For sure I will keep you in my prayers and suffering, as I have a physical suffering. This profession bring me tears to my eyes. Tears of joy. Thanks be to God for holy vocations who surrender their lives for the souls of others. My God reward her in abundance for her sacrifices.
