I just learned something new about brick walls. Very fascinating. I didn’t notice they were different until you pointed it out. I love history. Keep these coming! Someday I hope to visit the area. Mary

I so much look forward to these JamestownReDiscovery posts. They make COVID lockdown for this senior citizen in compromised health all the more bearable. I can't say enough how much enjoyment I get from the sharing of findings & discoveries from such a great many experts in their field.

Wow, such a lot has been discovered since our visit .We we’re privileged to see artifacts of Devon pottery being dug up. We live in Exeter Devon UK so had more meaningfully connections.

This was really great information, thank you so much Mary Anna (and your cameraperson)! Wish there was a cross section of the wall to see (top down) how they laid out the bricks, I bet they were two (2) deep when the mason was trying to make them come out straight, level and plumb. Great stuff....love it! 👍🏻👏👏👏❤

Dig a little deeper into the well son dig a little deeper in the well. If you want a cool drink of water you will dig a little deeper in the well. This was a song I heard in my youth....... Usually with shovel in hand.

It’s such a shame that the original church was left to crumble.
