Best sneaker brand, really. They are always highest quality and super comfortable, unlike Nike and Adidas. They mostly look like crap, though. I have Gel Lyte 3 since 2012 or so and i swear they look like new.

I think this would have less backlash if it was a Acronym x ROG collab not the other way around. Because for most consumers of this type of product are going to understand that this is essentially £1000 mark up for decals. Great video tho

Man this approach of David Rudnick with Acronym and Asus is something else. I'm super happy this actually exists, sure a bit pricey but it's part of its uniqueness. Perhaps we see more products with this aesthetic on the future

Thanks! The price is always gonna be a sticking point relative to the regular G14, but yeah it's a collector's item for sure

Even with this review its such an extremely high premium for a laptop with specs that have been out dated at this point, from a performance perspective you're overpaying by such a far margin when you could get a tower or a laptop for MUCH cheaper with double the performance. This is the tipity top of what id consider luxary fashion, if you can afford it, are a huge acronym fan and like the aesthetics (which are super nice I can agree) go for it but I can't ever justify this.

I think the keyboard would look way better without the "A"s on the corners of every key. The font they used for the legends themselves though is sweet.

@@herotrojan1645 the big difference is the display. The acrnm has a 1440p Pantone validated 60Hz combined with the 32GB of RAM it's targeted towards content creators. The display is absolutely beautiful but granted if you're shooting for high FPS games this isn't the right display.

Rog x ACRNM x persona 5 What a great video I found

I don't know much about cpu specs, judging on the comments its maybe technically not that impressive, but I think it is proof of a turning point in the convergence of tech and culture. I'm personally really stoked on the looks of this, but beyond that its amazing to see fashion intersect with technology in this way. It seems almost obvious when I see the product, but I would have never thought of computers coming from anywhere but computer manufacturers. Really gets me excited for the future.

For its size it's pretty much (to my understanding) the most powerful gaming laptop out there, but once you get to 15" and 17" you can get stuff with RTX 2080s in there etc. that will outperform this. But yeah absolutely, more aesthetic choices for things we use so often is no bad thing even if this isn't to a lot of people's taste

price for performance is disappointing

Selling garbage idea that you know at overpriced value you don't know. Over emphasizing their idea that u already have.

It's clearly not strictly a gaming laptop, i'd much rather get this for music production, and lo and behold you *can* also game on it, what a revelation.

Appart from all crazy graphics, mystery and led on the backside, it's straigth out scam for the specs it's provide.

now I can give my irl brain to elon musk with his nueral links AND my digital brain to papa errolson

The reusable air pocket laptop sleeve might outlive the actual laptop, it's already outdated with that 2060 in there.

it depends on how high you want your graphics settings. i had a gtx 750 ti until a few years ago and i didn't mind it

Gaming laptops have to be one of the items with the shortest shelf life. Most are gonna be struggling in 3 years time. If they make it that far in the first place. I think a micro atx desktop wouldve been so much cooler. Or barring that the markup on this is very high

ROG had so many award winning models that are thoughtfully engineered. Yet we didnt see those. This collab feels more like a stock clearance to me...

Obsidian is an open source version of Brain that would be worth checking out. Also feel like Exonet will be similar to ZeroTier, which is also free and open source.

My HP Omen 15 has the same specs for literally a quarter of the price what a rip off I need it my desk is lacking Acronym

I love Acronym, but this is way to pretentious for me. You can get either a more powerful, dedicated gaming/content creation super laptop for less money. Your video was great as usual though :)

This is the great laptop for a gamer who works in tech/content creation and wants to stand out! Frankly the design is gorgeous, the industrial design of the keyboard is very SciFi and I love it. I use mind mapping software every day, having one built-in is pretty slick. I really want this machine 😭. I will admit that it being an Acronym collab makes me ok with spending the extra money. Send EH my love ❤️😍.

Alright, not gonna lie, I thought they jumped the shark. Especially the promo pics with E's portrait on the lid made me suuuuuper suspicious. But this seems cool. Maybe a bit far on the Kojima X Acronym side of the spectrum with all the graphics and typography, but not bad at all. And that Brain software sounds interesting to a productivity porn nerd like me. Would be cool to see a follow up vid on that.

I really like the laptop, but the individual keys are just too noisy. The A's in the corner would hurt my eyes after a while and i think they detract too much from the actual letter/number/function they are supposed to have on there

£2499 in the UK vs £1799 for the top spec standard g14 (except 16gb ram compared to acrnm 32gb, that config would cost maybe £1899 at most). So a £600 premium for "upgrades" worth under £60, plus a shittier box to add salt onto the wound...

As soon as I heard about this last week I wanted to change my guess what the special video was gonna be. Although I imagined you would just get a review unit by virtue of having worked there... Personally I'm REALLY not into the colours on the keyboard. Glad to see you like it, those specs make a lot of sense for your use case; having a colour-calibrated display on a laptop is very rare, right? P.S: HOLY SHIT I DID CALL IT LAST WEEK!! I like that 50% of the comments here see this overpriced junk for what it is. Because gamers actually use their technology for performance to play the best games they can. Meanwhile in the fashion world Errolson charges techwear fans triple the price over something that actually works like Arc'teryx. And because these fans never actually go outside or live a life that needs such protection, they just believe it instead of testing it and pretend that ACRNM clothes are some kind of Ferrari brand. But they are Ferrari prices for a riced up Hyundai.

I am watching this videos just beacause I am curious how much fashion brands are asking for the clothes - I use a lot of tech wear - I ride MTB (so grippy shoes and tech wear due sweat), I ride snowboard and I like freeride (so I have everything at 20000mm / 20000g/m2/24h - goretex, gelanots, sympatex), during climbing I am using jacket with no membrane but insulation only (polartec alpha), because I you have hard physical activity, no membrane can let go all the vapor through. My gloves are reinforced with kevlar. Membranes were used in freezing rain, insulation in -30 degrees (celsius). Avalanche backpack has to be able to carry snowboard, avalanche equipment and airbag in case of me being catched by the avalanche... And than I am watching, how to wear goretex in the city because it can rain.... BTW gelanost seems better than goretex for jackets/pants (different type of membrane without pores). Newest technologies will use nanofibers, which are more waterresistent (50000mm) but vapor can get through easily than through membranes (prototypes were developed in my country 2-3 yrs back). Overall goretex used in fashion is a little bit overkill, but what is much more overkill is the price asked for it. But everybody can choose what he is spending money for... (sry for my English)

I like it. It is not just a superficial colab. I do think they went above and beyond to make it a relevant combination of what either brand does. Those are legit make-up colors on the buttons so I'm glad they got Maybelline in on this, it's messed up they're not mentioned.

Maybelline huh? What's their connection to ACRNM? Apparently the collab is superficial, when the only thing Maybelline brought to the table were some colors.

0:41 you sure are missing out an asics dude, go out and buy yoursuelf some Gel Lyte V-s, they're probably one of the most comfy lifestyle shoes asics offers (the neoprene sockliner is god tier, like srsly) Edit: as for techy stuff, their gore-tex models of the past are sometimes really cool and rugged looking. newer ones i don't like that much, but it's not that hard to find older stuff used in near perfect condition for cheap. Gel Arata Gore-tex Low in black and dark green is my personal recommendation :>

The audio was actually from a Varmilo keyboard I have on my workdesk which uses Cherry MX browns but it has an aluminium backplate that gives it a nicer sound than the plasticy Anne Pro. Never done a full custom lubed keeb though! One day for sure

I am big fan of this G14-ACRNM RMT01. It looks and sounds awesome in technical and aesthetic way, and the LED lights on the back pretty evoke me to the Wrench mask from the Watch Dogs 2. (not sure if i used the word evoke right, so don't hate me please)

It's Erolson being a William Gibson fanboy again - remember Sandbenders from Idoru? (Fittingly, Gibson tweeted today that this was his first ever Windows machine).

the hardware seems great but not quite a fan of the keyboard layout. cannot type properly on it. on the big plus side, the touchpad is pretty much centered. those offset touchpads on many pcs are dealbreakers. the display animation in the back is awesome. too bad it has that angled shape.

I bought an ROG laptop once, which died within a week. The replacement also died within a week. Never again. Keep your fancy ROG, regardless of how many LEDs they plaster over it.

Love the aesthetic but not the price!
