Invasive DUCK, GOOSE, & IGUANA! Catch Clean Cook

Спорт

***Everything you saw in the video was done legally and humanely according to both state and local law enforecment***
My buddy JP from JP outfitters invited Yames and I to go on an invasive species excursion! Our goal was to hunt for Egyptian Geese, Muscovy Duck and Green Iguanas. All three of those species are HIGHLY Invasive to South Florida and cause Ecological as well as Economic harm! JP is a licensed guide and has contracts with private land owners to remove these invasive species from the property, so I don't recommend trying this unless you are sure you are on private property with permission. None of these species have a bag or size limit and are highly encouraged by FWC which is Florida's state wildlife enforcement to be removed from our native ecosystem!

Looks like a lot of people have commented saying to try the Muscovy. I’ve been told by several people to avoid them including first responders, all saying they’ve gotten sick from them. You guys know I’m not afraid to try anything, but don’t want to put my friends or family at risk. JP is licensed to remove the ducks , even when the cameras aren’t rolling!

@@MrJoshuacx well I will tell you this much . I've lived off of what me and my sons killed for a long time as far as meat goes and I've been a State trapper for many years and you will not find another animal that eats worse things than a hog and I mean they will and do eat anything . I lived off wild hogs for at least 10 years primarily when I couldn't get deer especially during the summer and got them from everywhere and they have been eating everything including garbage I'm sure from the dumpsters. I've we never got sick and I'm sure a duck 🦆 no matter what kind is it going to eat as much garbage as a hog. I understand the idea of golf courses “moving” wildlife off their properties but what a waste of a natural resource...the first time I’ve heard someone say that Muscovy ducks are not fit or good to eat...young Muscovy Ducks are delicious...older ones are good too. Very lean and, if cooked right, have a taste like veal more than a regular duck. Landshark Im surprised you don’t give them a try?...but I probably wouldn’t do a “Ceviche” with Muscovy.😎😉😂

@@johnmarshall8175 I'm not an expert, but I'd assume most wild ducks in typical hunting locations don't eat literal trash. A duck in the woods isn't eating the polluted garbage that a duck living on a golf course would eat. All the chemicals most golf course lawns get sprayed with, idk it worries me a bit to think those chemicals may get into the meat. I'd imagine typically one wouldn't worry about that with wild duck... and maybe I'm nuts and it's nothing to worry about with golf course duck either... Idk.

I'm a executive chef, and I worked all over the world. Not eating the Duck and just using the breast of the geese is poor. Do it the French or German way. The French way calls "confieren" it is a very old technique. Cure the legs and breast with salt sugar and spices over night and then cover it with oil and slow cook it until tender let cool down overnight the next day fried in a pan until golden brown and crispy. That will be a hit. If it is a old bird marinated in a cup of red wine, balsamic vinegar and water salt root vegetable and herbs for 3 days. Then fried the meet until its brown add the vegetables and fried until golden brown then add the broth and keep it in the oven until tender . Thicken the sauce with a little bit of cornstarch. Best regards from Germany

I like the idea of turning problem animals into food. Especially if they are invasive and have no natural predators! What's better than free food?

You should watch Python Cowboy shooting Egyptian Geese, he's in Florida too and uses a gas gun. One gets hit, the next one just paddles along unconcerned until he nails that too. Iguana too (and of course he goes after Burmese Pythons). He wastes nothing, all of the animals/birds are 'recycled'. I'd love to try any of them but we don't have that particular feral problem in Australia.

Dude this looks like the 55 community right around the corner from my place. We have tons of iguanas and geese in the area. They lizards come up in my yard and make an absolute mess. I am occasionally tempted to pull out my break barrel and make short work of them but by the time I get to the door they spot me and are already gone. We also have some other non native lizards as well. Wild.
