Thanks for having the courage to share these thoughts and very powerful how you described this technique for overcoming them!! ❤I love the part about not making ourselves prisoners to other peoples opinions!! And also about appreciating the healthy options we have!!

My intrusive thought is telling me i can't speak with my friend or a specific and my brain remind it of a sad moment where i was alone and socially awkward , that thought instantly makes me anxious and makes me even forget how to talk normally my speech is slurred , I don't feel like myself at all like I can't have a conversation I want to go home fast and don't want to encounter that person that my brain blocked me from talking with and want to meet him next day so i can talk normally ,but the same thought keep repeating everyday on loop ➰ I don't avoid speeding with the banned person but always feel more social awkward and my conversation skill drop to 0

I understand, sorry to hear your intrusive thought is having such an impact on you. Try writing down the thought(s) on paper, to get them out from your mind onto something physically tangible as paper. Then you can close your eyes and ponder on when the thought began, where it came from, what does it emotionally make you feel and why do you feel this way about it..... basically really try and get to the root of the thought, to get to the core of the emotions attached to the thought. Our minds setup all sorts of methods and tactics to keep us safe from feeling emotional pain, and as just about every person on the planet is pain avoidant to some degree in different areas and ways, things such as thoughts are trying to avoid us feeling more pain, however, they often do the opposite and create a different kind of suffering which is why we need to face the primary cause of the thoughts. It requires self reflection and learning how to release the beliefs we are holding onto. Please feel free to reach out to me further if you wanted to express the deeper aspects of the thoughts. All the very best, Andrew
