    I spend € 2500 and a lot of labour :-) and that is not including the bike. All parts are overhauld en the bike is as new. some parts are handmade. If you want to buy them I think that it will cost about € 3000.

    I was wondering how you got the rear suspension off with that chrome bar. I want to take the rear fender off and that ugly bar and do a single seat. Do you have suggestions? Also once you take the bar off. Do you need spacers where the rear suspension bolts to the bike? Thanks!

  • @av8660

    @av8660

    7 жыл бұрын

    The rear suspension just take out the bolts and that also for the chrome bar. But your swingarm will be loos. So catch that one with some strut. I placed strut instead of suspension. to place a solo seat watch the movie, I made the parts by myself, be creative :-). you also can buy products at bluecollarbobbers.com/ but also than you need to adjust these because they don't have parts for this VS800.

    Where did you mount the ECU? I am rebuilding a 87 vs 700 into bobber and im having a hard time figuring out where to put it. Also i love the turn signals, where did you get them? did you make the seat bracket yourself or buy?

  • @av8660

    @av8660

    6 жыл бұрын

    If you look at the youTube movie at 5:15 you see that the ECU is fitted under the seat bracket. The seat bracket i made by myself from aluminium. The lightbulb / signals I buy them at Blue Collar Bobbers bluecollarbobbers.com/ with smoked glass.

  • @MrSerkit

    @MrSerkit

    6 жыл бұрын

    Awesome build man, it’s the reason I bought one :). Yea I tried to find it but it seemed to just disappear. I plan on using a solo seat from an intruder. I may have to cut out under the seat for it to fit because I don’t believe it will without being crushed. How much of a pain was it taking off the fender rails, I can’t find any info on doing it. Did you need to make spacers at the shocks because you removed? Are the struts and fender from the same vendor?

  • @av8660

    @av8660

    6 жыл бұрын

    Thanks, If you make some space for the ECU by cutting under the seat make sure that the electrical parts are protected for rain. It was no pain at all to remove the fender rails and I made bushes (aluminium) for the struts witch I used instead of the shock absorbers. Make sure that you use a fender that will be mounted on the swingarm, otherwise you cant dismounted the fender rails. The struts are made of iron pipe (central heating pipe) the end I crushed in a Vise en the seam I welded witch silver. the fender you can buy at Blue Collar Bobbers. but the are several online shoops wher you can buy them.

  • @MrSerkit

    @MrSerkit

    6 жыл бұрын

    You made the spacers that took the place of the fender rails? Im going to be keeping original shocks on the bike. Is the fender connected to anything else on the bike besides the swing arm?

  • @av8660

    @av8660

    6 жыл бұрын

    The spacers ar for the struts. if you keep the absorbers then you don't need them. The fender is only mounted on the swingarm.

    He Andre, aller eerst de complimenten met dit project (ook al is dit al even geleden). Ik ben zelf bezig met het verbouwen van een Intruder VS750. Demontage van het blok is overigens wel echt een kl*te werk. Heb jij de chromen delen met wrap gespoten of op een andere manier? Aangezien chrome een slechte hechtlaag is..

    @av8660

    Mr. Kwaker, ik weet even niet over welke chromen delen jij het hebt dus als je wat specifieker kan zijn dan graag. Maar als je chromen delen wilt behandelen dan adviseer ik je deze delen te laten stralen en daarna poeder coaten, dit doe ik altijd met chromen delen.

    I 'm glad you didn't mess with the neck. That neck is what makes it a intruder, when you see an Intruder you KNOW it's an Intruder. Should have painted the tank and fenders though, Loud pipes saves lives, but so does load paint. Your 8 times more likely to be hit by a car/truck than you are on any other color bike plus it's boring, basic bitch black shows no imagination.
