Pro Tip guys: always remove diaphragm from carb before you turn carb upside down and spray any carb cleaner into the bottom of carb, it will drip down to diaphragm and melt it, most of those older diaphragms are obsolete now a days, so you could be screwed if you ruin them. Thanks WB, good job, Great Content, this is what I do everyday on my motorcycle channel if anyone is interested.

@Andy Cooke that wonderful news thank you, but I'm not talking about 92 ' model specifically, I'm talking about older carburetors in general, many of the diaphragms are no longer are available, some companies make just the diaphragms that you have to remove old diaphragms from the slide and replace with new, but it's not the same as original, so the point is, don't mess up your original diaphragms or you might be screwed. Thanks
It's alive. Sounds good
Old snowmobile carb service truck... Once you pull the choke slides out of the carbs, pull the choke lever/button "on". This compresses the springs and holds it all together. Digging the bike content too !! Carbs were stupid clean considering how long it sat. The Stabil, apparently, helped. I'm not a fan of it. The one time I tried it, my motor would not start when I tried and I had to clean out the whole fuel system. Maybe, you stored it long enough ago that there wasn't so dang much ethanol in the fuel. Way back, gas would, actually, last pretty decent. Another great video!!

Thanks for the tip Kevin. I was surprised how clean the front carburetor was compared to the rear.
I'm very thankful to my brother. that shows how to make good repairs Because my car is the same as yours. But my car is a Vz400 model. I have been looking for a way to fix it for 5 months. Thank you for these wonderful videos.
Coming along nicely and can’t wait to see it completed!!!! Have a happy 4th and I’ll see you in the next video!!!!
I am going to say that I am so happy that I found your channel Mike! I know that if there is anything that I have to get some real world information on something that I am working on, I have your library of your videos and I usually get the answers I need to get the job done right. Hopefully all is well with you and your family!
I’ve never seen any body use those synchronisation gauges before Mike it was very interesting 👍🏻🏴
Happy 4th! Thanks for all the vids this year. Enjoyed them all. 💥🇺🇸💥
Good job WB! Still have my vacuum gauge setup I made for the four carbs when I fixed up a '78 naked Goldwing back in '04.

WB! Congrats on breaking 68K subs man! Keep up the great work. Can’t believe the motor started so soon.
Awesome video Mike! You are awesome and love watching your videos. I know it takes time to do but I wished you made more videos...lol. Great job dude love your channel
Awesome bike video, love the shaft driven bikes. I look forward tooooo seeing the completed work of art.
Didn't see the coolness of that bike at first, but now? WB passion and skills has me excited about how it'll turn out.
W.B. You really know your stuff. So cool to watch you work. This will make you money for sure. Thanks for sharing your talent with us. Best wishes to you and your family.
Hey Mike so cool to hear her roar back to life. Take her and enjoy her again!

Always enjoy your videos Mike. They keep me riveted. Keep the content coming. I'll watch whatever you post Mike. I totally enjoy your channel. That's a pretty sweet bike ya got. I don't ride any more due to health reasons. But respect a sweet bike. Still have my ole Harley. Probably get rid of her someday. If that ole bike could talk...the stories it could tell you. Bought her brand new in 1980. She's been from the East coast to the West coast twice in her life. Texas once an Florida 3 times. Rebuilt her once an due for another rebuild. Keep up the great work. Love the channel. Keep On Motoring Brother!!! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 Happy 4th Brother!!!

Yes its not a Harley but personally I love these big ole CC Japanese bikes from the old days. There like a canvas that a true artist can create something fun and unique on. And fairly reasonable cost wise to play around with.
I hope that you profit well on the flip! Happy 4th Mike!

Good tune man! 😎👍😎
Hey brother not that it was super important but im guessing since didn't pull slide until ltr didn't remove emulsion tube under high speed jet.. Sometimes the little holes in the emulsion tube get clogged and cause a bog at half throttle or more.. Great video though you changed more stuff in carb then I do. Oh I can't see thoes little numbers on jets either lol

Good shyt brah!, I have a 2003 1400 intruder that carb sync & would like to have modified to get rid of that 2nd seat.

Good to see the bike alive WB. That’s a $$2500-3200 bike easy, but what do you think? Personally I think it could use a WB decal buried in the paint somewhere… just to church it up and let it’s history with you live on with the next owner.
@weirdbeard8898

I like the decal idea. I agree with you in the price too.
Hey, I watched quite a few of your videos on Randy's Dodge Coronet. Not seen you much recently. I just wanted to say I can see why you and he parted ways. I made a simple, polite comment on his YT video about his paid for content of his David Stanley sponsored Jeep, he was nasty and told me to piss off ....etc... A really OTT response to an honest, polite YT comment. I think that you are best off away from this duplicitous individual. I will Now follow you as I can see Randy Shear is not what he pretends. Go well Mr Beard!!
Man I miss riding. The wife has gotten a bit nervous on them now that we've gotten older and there's a lot more traffic now. So I guess I'll be sticking to four or more wheels.
You should go over the hard tail conversion.
Where'd you learn how to synch those carbs and get the vacuum gage set up?

Hey Mike!!!!! Let's Put an LS engine in the 59 Plymouth! I think that would be awesome for next years LSFest or Power Tour. I bet your channel would go through the roof!
Unless the Bobber factor increases the value, I would say it will bring between $2000 and $2500.
....happy 4th, keep safe..
Are you gonna detail it? I wanna see what it looks like after it gets the weird beard treatment😎
Man I’ll never own another motorcycle with a carburetor. What’s sad is that the motorcycle dealerships in my area will not even work on motorcycles with a carburetor (s). Fuel Injection is the way to go. Happy Independence Day to you Mike!
@thedragon2299

Exactly, and that's why I make good money working on carbs these days, mostly on vintage bikes, but either way carbs keep me busy every week. My main bike that I ride is fuel injection btw...🤣

@@thedragon2299 You definitely have job security. A couple of years back I was filling up my ‘10 Yamaha FJR and a guy on a Honda Valkyrie was filling up across from me. I was admiring it and commented on how many carbs were on it. He made that comment that the Honda Dealership would not work on it. This was back in like 2012.
@thedragon2299

And with the ethanol fuel these days its even worse, now I'm get carb cleaning jobs even after a bike has only sat for 3 months, that stuff just creates havoc. Oh yeah, the Valkyrie complete carb rebuilds approach $1200 these days, I know some guys in the industry who charge even more than that. It's almost all labor.
Maybe a few copart / dealer auction motorcycle flips?
Taking the air boxes out is a mistake. The throttle cable doesn’t actually open the butterfly. The throttle uses vacuum to open the butterfly. They do this to slow down the throttle response. The system won’t work right without the air boxes and it will slow down the throttle response even more.
👍👍👍
Would be nice to do a online auction for the bike , maybe while doing a live stream
Rear shocks asap!
That's a jenky carb kit, all the rubber diaphragms and o-rings should be included.
👍
Can you leave a link for air filters and what are the best suggestions?
Dude where u been?? 😭😭
Don't sell it. Keep it and enjoy it!
I just picked up a 90 vs750.... Sat for about 5 years... Cleaned out the tank as best as possible. I put it inline fuel filter on it. It doesn't even look dirty. I have changed it once. It wasn't even dirty and it's still not dirty. I'm hearing that it could burn out the pump because it has to pull harder. You think I'm better off just running straight line and keeping an eye on the fuel
@weirdbeard8898

There should be a tiny little filter screen inside the tank.

How about the tires they gotta be dried up? Nice Friday the 13th shirt 👍

I bought a 1500 honda goldwing from a gentleman i was doing some work for, it ran but had been sitting a couple of years. I took it to a shop to have the carbs cleaned and calibrated, when i got the bike back it ran like sh@t, i took it back to the shop and they told me i needed to have the carbs calibrated, we can do it for $450. I said what the hell did i pay you $800 for, you where sapossed to clean and calibrate them. They said no you just paid to clean them. I could of cleaned them my self but i didnt know how to calibrate them. That took all my antisapation for the bike and just lost entrust in it. Sold it for $1200. The guy i sold it to took the side boxes, front wind guard and just made it a striped down clean bike, i saw a guy driving it a year later in the park, he told me he bought it from my friend for $3800.
👍🤙
