Was amazing how even while using some cliches they made it in such unique way. Just the fact that she openly told to Bryant everything that happened with Maxton was fresh, like normally would be some hiding and more drama involved instead was pretty straight forward and even the solution with Maxton was sort of fairy tale like. Bryant really behaved like a prince the whole time.

The first popular guy I've seen in a movie who's actually very decent.

He was a nice guy. He knew everything that she was going through, Didn't urge her to seek help or help her aknowledge the actual abuse she is going through. She was on the phone soundingly in a desperate situation. Yes he was at the doctors, He could have called her right back. He knows how abusive her family is to her. And he advised her to just wait it out without learning more. And he never actually talked to her and admitted that they were dating until after she told him someone else was interested in her. He made a lot of sacrifices for her but he did that because he wanted her. He expected there to be be something for him in return for his kind actions. He was right when he told her to choose the other guy.

@@wimsylogic65This! It was so distasteful how he claimed they were together after she told him about Bryant. Then pressured her into a date….I definitely was not team Maxton.

She was confused with how she fees between two men because both supported her. Max was the only friend she had while she was abused in her relative's house. Bryant was her saviour from that home so she felt dependent on him and her feelings developed from the feeling of being saved from an awful life.

There's a lot of real genuine people out there, who are always ready to help those who in need, this movie recap has taught me a lot , the cat sacrificed it's for the grater things to happen to cindi's life

I had that too but for me she was trans, not a male. When she told me, completely destroyed our once close relationship. I just wasn't comfortable around her no more and still am. She keeps trying to talk to me but I know she likes me and it doesn't feel right. I hate this and I hate her!

the guy didn't even have to hear a no from her, he literally let her go when he realized where she was the happiest and agreed to her wish of him remaining her best friend. sucks that that happened to you though.

I don’t like these kinds of movies that make it seem like “no” doesn’t mean “no”. He continuously went out of his way to force an apology that she didn’t want, he INSISTED that she hang out with him, and he basically talked her into being his friend.

And then all those supposed kind acts that he sacrificed for her, If he did It out of the kindness of his heart he wouldn't have Told her like that. He made the decision To sacrifice His convenience is to be with her. Then guilter with his choices. He did so to guilt her because he did all those to have her. He was with a call a nice guy not a good guy. A good guy is what Bryant did. It helped her knowledge that she was being abused, He got her help, He cared about all of her even if it meant not being with him.

This storya is great 💖 I love the characters

Moral of the story is buy a cat who can sacrifice for your future 😉

Slightly off topic, but my grandfather was the oldest in his family. When he was a young child his mother died and his dad sent all four children to live with different aunts and uncles because he could not take care if them. They were passed from one to another and treated more like farm hands instead of family till their dad remarried. She was a good step mother, but tragedy struck again with the death of his father and as it was the late 1930s or early 1940s he was pulled from school at 16 and went to work in an upholstery shop. When WW2 hit and he turned 18 his unvle signed him up for the service. He always sent his paycheck home keeping very little for himself. After the war he returned home and his step mom had bought him and gifted him a car.

Straight 23M here, honestly it really depends on the person and the group of people they surround themselves with, but unfortunately it is common for guys to be superficial in approaching friendships which really is just a lack of maturity and not having the correct values for a lasting friendship with the opposing sex. Which is sad because the best connections and friendships i have are with women I’m not typically attracted to. Because that’s not the reason why I’m friends with them in the first place. To the guys that base it sorely on attraction are missing out on quality friendships but that’s their loss. They aren’t people you really want to be around anyways. But as common as this is, there are also many of us out there aswell who don’t care about physical attraction and are people to seek out platonic connections based on similar interest, kindness, respect, similar sense of humour, or just someone that gets them. you can easily pick them out with the way they positively interact with all kinds people with different shapes and sizes and social status so pay attention to that when next deciding to befriend someone. You’ll pick up a good vibe. Be aware of the friends that have openly admitted to only being able to be friends with people they are physically attracted to. Their values are corrupt. Trust your intuition it’s your guiding system it never lies. Just like energy itself it never lies. If something feels off don’t shrug it off. It’s trying to tell you something. Lastly, don’t be hard on yourself this isn’t a you problem, don’t be discouraged, just sounds like you haven’t met some so great people. men are capable of genuine friendships. To you and any women reading this seeking male platonic friendship be patient you’ll find it. Know what to look out for. You’ll be aiight.

What your gut should tell you is that this a silly thing for which to assume a general answer exists. A guy's best female friend could be simply the girl who lives next door, or a girl he once crushed on but has since fazed into friendship, or a whole host of other scenarios.
