Introduction to U.S. Legal System - prof. Charles Szymanski

Introduction to U.S. Legal System: This lecture provides the basics for understanding American law, including an overview of the common law, the federal and state courts, jury trials, and specific legal concepts, such as punitive damages and employment at will.
Charles Szymanski is a visiting professor at the University of Bialystok, Faculty of Law. Originally from the United States, he remains a licensed attorney there. Prof. Szymanski specializes in public international law and labor law. He has taught and given presentations on these and other subjects in over 20 countries.
The lecture is part of the project „Mission 3.0 - Open University” co-funded by the Ministry of Education and Science within the „Social responsibility of science” program.
