I have this same kit that I bought over a year ago. I got about half way through, and lost the mojo to finish it so it sits on the shelf now waiting for me to go at it again. Happy model making.

Have fun with this ginormous kit, hope the folded items straighten out with your heavy press method. Enjoy the build.👍

Hi Ed. I would be PISSED if my mailman did that. Hopefully it works out well mate. Looking forward to the build.

Hi Ed, You really got a deal on this kit. I think. as long as the PE doesn't have any sharp kinks, it should be fine. Have you ever watched the Plunging Fire KZread channel? He has some great tips on working with PE. That base should look great. I'll be looking forward to seeing more. Thanks for sharing. Have a great day. Jeff

No, It's a Trumpeter kit. The Photoetch is White Ensign. Happy New Year my friend!

You might be able to flatten out the bent photo-etch by heating it (even over a gas stove burner) and then putting the heated brass on "softish", surface and rolling it with a wood dowel. I think you should mention to White Ensign that they could do better packaging job - use a BOX! (More mailman proof)

I think your mailman and mine hang out 😐. I've had to reverse bend some pieces to get them back into shape because the mailman couldn't be bothered to bring the oversize envelope to my door, but instead needed to fold it in half; despite the envelope having "Do not bend" printed on it.

I'm going to try to reverse-bend them. Thank you, Patrick!
