I am completely new to painting in general. I’ve dabbled in painting when I was a kid using acrylics, but it’s been many years since I’ve touched a paintbrush. It might be crazy to start with gouache, but I’m so drawn to it. Thank you for this incredible tutorial! I’ve ordered my supplies and I’ll be starting here!

This is a wonderful media. Very natrual, logical and clean. You don't even need soap to clean it up. You can paint over what you painted and is also somewhat removal able. It is spontaneous and very forgiving. Definantely a wroth artistic adventure. I encourage you to give it a try.

I’m starting with gouache too! I love watercolor and I’ve fallen in love with the type of artwork people create with gouache

I was an art student many years ago and it only just occurred to me that we used guache but at no point was I given any tips. I learnt more in 10 minutes of watching this video than my first year of art college. Thank you.

As an art collector for years, I have gained a profound appreciation for GOUACHE artworks over time and have collected them.

We all start somewhere. I’m glad to be here with a lot of other beginners trying something new!! No matter what age or where you’re at in life never stop learning As Jake the dog said: “sucking at something is the first step to being kinda good at something”

I've had my gouache and watercolour set for months already and among the two, I like gouache. It feels more painterly and more convenient than watercolour, and although it's a bit harder to use, I do like the challenge. Gouache is like if acrylic could be reactivated.

This is the most helpful video I’ve found. Just bought a 24 set of gouache, and after going through a blind attempt earlier to just learn things on my own, I quickly felt _very_ confused. And then I found your video! Thanks so much for making such a simple yet informative beginners video. More power to you! ☺️

I used gouache as a pro illustrator and comix artist from 1990 till 2005 when I digitalized almost fully my workflow. I studied painting in the art school and used many different mediums. High quality gouache has a terrific resistance in time compared to other colors on paper.

I’ve been having such a hard time painting lately. I’m subscribed to your Patreon and I always watch the videos but rarely paint anything. I think I really needed something simple like this to break out my paints again. Thank you ❤️❤️❤️

Having same issue & feeling like have “painters block” & could be having very stressful time & not physically well & trying to care for my 92 year old mother & feeling just overwhelmed & never used gouache & now realized can’t use over acrylic paint as if water touches it like water color. Maybe just getting to sick to continue but miss it very much.

i went to art school after graduating high school and the first thing we had to do was get a gouache set and i had never even heard of it before. i ended up learning alot of what you demonstrated just through experimentation, but a crash course would have been great! nice video and paintings
