I just got a cricut joy and the little engraving tip off Amazon but the program on windows is not showing me the metal I can only set it to foil but can't engrave. I'm new at this. Any help?

Hmm I don’t have a Joy myself but I’m not sure that officially you can engrave with that machine as it doesn’t hold engrave or any metals in the listings. However I have seen people use the foil function and get it to work that way - I guess it would be more trial and error to see what works. The engraving tip that I use is for the Maker series machines only. Hope that helps! Thanks for watching 💚

@@GemmaElisabeth The foil feature doesn't work. It doesn't show what I can use and the ones it does show, I don't know if I can use them. I got the engraving tip off Amazon, they claim it will work when you set it to foil; ok, but what material do I pick after that? O and yw.

I don’t know unfortunately as I don’t have a Joy, I guess because it’s not a Cricut tip it won’t work. Sorry
