Excellent series! I am working to make my RV more independent and your videos are showing me many of the issues of solar and battery installation. Not as simple as a bumper sticker! Thank you!

Terrific. Also see our blog that talks about putting solar on your RV. www3.epa.gov/climatechange/Downloads/method-calculating-carbon-sequestration-trees-urban-and-suburban-settings.pdf
Thanks for your effort
Best Explanations Amy! How did you learn all of this? Any book suggestions or classes?

Photovoltaic Systems third edition by James P Dunlop
At 0:47 it would be better to say that Watts is Rate of Energy or just Power (not rate of power). A Watt is one Joule/Second where Joule is a measure of energy. (1 Joule is the amount of energy to accelerate 1 kg of mass one meter per second, every second over one meter)

Thanks for the advice. I've been trying to improve my use of energy versus power lately, instead of incorrectly using them interchangeably. Hopefully you'll see improvement in our newer videos.
Good content but, the "V, A and W" are not the abbreviations but the units and "E, I and P" are the abbreviations.
4:13 So if you have 2 6V batteries one having 4 volts and the other having 8 volts would the 8V battery put 2 volts into the other battery equalling both out at exactly 6 volts?

It depends on the battery type. Some are able to self-balance without damaging the bank, others, like most traditional lead acid batteries run the risk of the bad battery damaging the god battery. That's why you don't want to mix new and old batteries in the same bank.
You are so confusing, I will be looking elsewhere
