My worry... will the info from the new scale start over from scratch in the Wyze app or will it keep the trends from my original-version scale and add on the new stuff?

@@MNM2884nick Good point! I have the Wyze app feeding the info into my Fitbit app, so that info should stay consistent even if the new scale info can't be merged with the old scale info in the Wyze app itself.

Surely fanboy is enough reason to get another? Especially at a price of $39.99 unless you are especially poor. I am not as have not owned one. But I do have an omron bcf514, a tanita hbf541 and 2 unknown chinese brands one runs ok ok software to monitor the other runs fit day. The last 2 give me more info than the first but they all give 100g difference across all weights. I paid a lot for the tanita. The omron must be have been inaccurately marked as it was cheap and the 2 chinese with way more info $30aud for the ok app one and $64 for the524681 fit day scale bought on holiday in Italy as I forgot to bring the ok scale with us. The tanita and omrom must be 15-20 years old but still working. Go on add to your collection.

I had a FitBit Aria scale some years ago that was about $150. Was so basic and only measured like 3-4 things. When the first Wyze scale came out, I couldn't resist for the price and have been very happy with everything it tracks and gives me data on. I don't understand the need to upgrade to this scale since the original works just fine for me and not much added to convince me to buy. But if you are searching for a scale, this does not disappoint. Btw, had the original scale for a few years now. Since it's early backers program let people buy before public release and I think I've changed the batteries, maybe twice.
