Kristine your boat is beautiful. I agree with removing the middle seat and having storage. That’s an easy fix, but a good one. The pedestal but seat on the bow is a terrific idea, as I think I mentioned at the seminar in Dallas. When you are scouting around working the trolling motor the seat will excellent way to relax. Practice days and then the tournament, will wear you out. Find a way to save yourself. The pedestal seat will just unscrew out and into your increased storage and out of the way. Every person purchasing their 1st boat has wishicouldashoulda’s and I didn’t hear or see anything you couldn’t change relatively inexpensively. The hot foot yea, but not necessary but cool. The boat is beautiful as I stated. When you go to sell it when the new year boats come out, let me know. The storage areas; they have trays you can purchase or make yourself that will hold and organize your tackle boxes. Soft plastic trays are everywhere in the big hardware stores. Soft plastic bags can be doubled up and tagged for easy access. At tournaments look at other pros boat setups. They will give you ample suggestions and many may have trays they once used and now have in garage and not using. Those come free or cheap and are in the belly of the boat out of site but incredibly handy and cheap cheap cheap. Typically plastic and washed up are new again. Kristine you will find a bass boat is easier to cast from, land a fish from, look for fish from and allow you to scout from, and not wear you out compared to accessibility to waters in a bigger impoundment. You are going to love it and will become an even more versatile fisherman. With your experience fishing from kayaks, and getting used to your new boat and how to approach areas quietly in the boat, you are going to find you in a very short time will be KICKING ASS AND TAKING NAMES. Some of these bass pros do not know what’s coming after them. Good luck but with your experience and adaptability to will be teaching many of the pros a lesson or two.

Congrats on your new boat. Can't wait to see the new vids from it! One thing that helped me when I transitioned from my kayak to an aluminum boat was using the iPilot remote control for my MinnKota trolling motor. Making use of the Autopilot feature (heading lock) and being able to Spotlock from anywhere on the boat has been extremely helpful...like having an assistant for boat control. Plus, when livescoping, using the remote allows me to stand normally and to make minute direction changes (foot pedal sometimes moves too much/ too fast). Now I rarely use the foot pedal, even when going down the bank.

If you fish a lot of midsummer tournaments where the water temps are really high I recommend the V-T2 vents for your livewell lids. They allow airflow into the livewells, which helps keep your fish alive. That plus ice and an additive like please release me will keep your fish super active when the water reaches 80+ degrees. Sorry if I sound like a know it all d-bag, but I've lost more fish than I want by not paying attention to that stuff.

As far as the things you wish you had done different. Can still be done. I also have a ranger and added a hot foot and mine also had a middle seat and i also didn't like it either. I took my middle seat out and made a box out of teak wood and put it in the seats place.I like that much better. I also built it strong enough to step on when getting onto the back deck. And installing the hot foot was not that hard either. Had the most trouble running the cable to the engine. good luck and very nice boat.

I know it’s obviously for fishing and not a pontoon party boat, but I always bring a Bluetooth speaker on my shitty Jon boat to rip a pod or listen to music when I’m fishing, again not blasting the music like those jackasses on the pontoons, but Shania Twain on a low volume while ripping a fluke down the bank is a vibe and a half and puts some rhythm in your cadence, and you can take that pro tip to the bank dawg, if you don’t know now you know

Awesom boat,40yr bass boat owner,I would never stand upfront with out the pro seat I been doing it 40yrs pros used to do it back in the day,idk why most don't have a pro seat upfront especially in rough water,I've never had a hot foot I drive other people's boat with hot foot I don't like it,I wouldn't use a hot foot if it was gave to me,I think u ought to drive a boat with a hot foot before u decide, wore my foot & leg out,I'm not driveing a car I'm driveing a bass boat,I wouldn't listen to all these young hyped up guys,Ole school here I've learned a thing or two in my life,I didn't grow up with all the teconolgy I learned to fish by doing it since I was a kid, bass master maginzine, then cable come out bill dance hank Jimmy an bass masters that's how we learned back in 80,s 90,s have fun do wat u like, that's my exsperince
