So, I contacted Mark via email with regards to some gear. My timing was serendipitous so he called me immediately. We ended up having literally a two hour conversation. I can honestly say that he's salt of the earth good people. It was one of those conversations where you finish each other's thoughts and end up making a new friend. Darn you! Now you got me thinking about a GCC just for the fact of being able to possibly add something like a Mountain House meal or 2 with the added room. Looks like a another great product from a great company!

What I would suggest is by adding a bungee corde on the top edge to tie it have a better secure for any kind of canteen people might want to use it

the Crusader system you have there is the Mk2 which was redesigned to be slimmer and lighter, using hard anodised aluminium the Mk1 has a curved Stainless Steel mug which is a little wider and is notorious for being awkward to store

Yes, that will be very nice product.Go forward. I think that will be the perfect size of the carrier doesn't matter which canteen will be use. Before, it thought that will be better to use a lid but now, personally, I don't want lid, it's more versatility like you did. It might be a little too complicated but what about a cover with a hole in the top. That way if you’re carrying a smaller canteen with stuff on either side it won’t fall out. Great content as always. Nice work on the graphics Mighty Mouse. Y’all have an awesome weekend. 👊❤️🇺🇸

GCC = Grandma Canteen Carrier! LOL! I'm going to be running the Pathfinder Titanium Canteen and it looks like I'll be forced to put something under the canteen to get it to ride high enough to be able to drink from the canteen without removing it from the pouch. Oh well, guess I'll be looking for something to stuff in the bottom but I really didn't want to have to do that.

@@centerlinesystems - Hey Mark, here’s an idea! How about you make an accessory pouch that will fit in the bottom of the GCC. That would give the user the ability to put loose items in it as well as other stuff. 👍

Maybe a small raincover instead of a lid. One that can stretch around it. Now that you put more in the main pocket the more rain could get at it like the hot coco packets you had suggested at the bottom.

What about a floating lid like a backpack. The you can use it or not. Even sell it as an option.

Maybe make a lid as an addon. That can attach with Velcro That way people can choose. Since they are made to order. It's just a matter of creating the prototype and keeping the pattern on hand.

Also if you design the lid right it could be used on the MCC just by adding some velcro to it. One thing I thought the MCC needed but even more for the GCC is a shock cord cinch around the mouth of the Carrier.

@@centerlinesystems I came here to ask for the same thing but this guy already did it. Something along the lines of the Eagle canteen pouches that give you a choice of Y-straps and/or a flap would be fantastic. Canteen pouches are so multipurpose that it would be great. Sometimes I put NODs/thermals in there, maybe a larger radio, or extra MRE. A lid would prevent all the garbage from falling inside too. After moving through forests here in WA, I have to dump my gear out to clear out any leaves, grass, etc. A lid would help with this.

Will this fit the pathfinder canteen set?

If you mean the newer, more "squared" canteen that is also sold by a couple other companies then, yes. The GCC was made for that specific style canteen and the Crusader/Osprey as well.
