Love the Bee Gees. I went to one of their concerts in 1979, in Houston at the Summit! These kids do not know authentic singers with real melody.
They started singing together as toddlers! Robin & Maurice are fraternal twins & Barry the big brother. Little brother, Andy, sang with them for a little while, but went solo. His untimely death highly effected them. 😢 But these 3 know each other as though they're one person & their music, timing & harmonies demonstrate that. I saw them live in 1976. They were totally AWESOME! ❤

@@kenhito - That doesn't even take into account several solo LP's released by Robin, primarily with the writing and production assistance of Maurice. Those were very popular in Europe ("Juliet" was #1 in several countries) and Australia but not played in the US due to the "disco" backlash. Robin's last LP released after he died had some absolutely profound and beautiful songs (done without brother Maurice who had died) as well as the orchestral "Titanic Requiem" which was played by the National Philharmonic in London. Even Robin's first solo composition "I am the world" was pretty spectacular for a 15 year old. Barry said Robin was a great composer and lyricist and Robin said he was lucky to be born into the same family as his brothers. Maurice was the musician of the group who put his brothers' lyrics and melodies to music and was the vital third harmony. He is too often ignored. They were a team including when writing for other artists.

Maurice and/or Robin co-wrote approx 75-80% of the Bee Gees catalog with Barry. That's why Barry's listed as the second most successful songwriter after Paul McCartney, & not the twins. Also Barry co-wrote 1/3 of Robin's three 80s solo albums.

We don’t really know how much Robin and Maurice were involved in every song and album. Rumor is Barry was generous with the credits. Sometimes the others were not involved at all, sometimes very little, for instance, the Living Eyes album, which was largely all Barry. Some songs were completely Barry. Guaranteed, though, Barry was very much involved in all the songwriting, and sometimes wrote some of them himself, including all their earliest stuff. He’s a true songwriter. It’s his calling. He’s the real songwriter.

Don’t let any Robin homers tell you different, the middle guy, Barry Gibb, was the main songwriter, and yes, he wrote for and produced records for other big artists, and wrote all his brother, Andy’s hits, plus produced his records and sang back-up vocals for him. Barry is a prolific songwriter, second only to Paul McCartney. And a known hitmaker, whom other singers clamored to have him write for them. All those songs became hits, too. I love Barry’s voice, too, his tone, and his distinct vibrato. Not just his falsetto, but his chest voice.

Many of the voices heard on the song are Barry’s, which he multitracked , There were three tracks of Barry on each of three parts in two octaves, so that’s eighteen tracks of Barry. Then, three tracks of the three brothers singing together. ...The recording’s complexity made it next to impossible to reproduce on stage. That's why when u see them sing it live on stage it's always in their natural voices ❤

Would love to go back to the 70s love all the music
LOVE the bee gees what talent
The Bee Gees are Angelic, pure love ❤️❤️❤️
There's a certain mastery that comes with siblings who start out young. They've been singing since they were young kids, much like The Jackson 5 and The Osmond Brothers.
I love watching the ones exposed to yesteryears musicianship
This was recorded live in studio. They walked in, laid it down in 1 take and walked out. I grew up in the 80’s and The Bee Gees weren’t my thing but god damn were they talented.
All three brothers write . Wrote all their own songs and songs for Diana Ross Chain reaction album, Dionne Warwick Heartbreaker, Barbara Striesand Guilty album, Dolly Parton &Kenny Rogers Islands in the Stream. They have an older sister who can sing. Mom was a vocalist and Dad had 30 piece band and was a drummer. They have massive vocal range. To see this Fanny be tender with my love and Nights on Broadway (1975 midnight special). Andy appears on stage with then during You should be dancing . ❤❤

The studio recording of Nights on Broadway shows their range much better. Also Fanny had so many layers that it was never sung live. The music video is poor and misleading, should only evervreact to the studio version of that too.
Gorgeous Barry’s normal voice and falsetto is really so beautiful and sweet and touch people’s heart such a touching and beautiful song ❤❤❤❤❤
BP, Your Side Kick is Awesome!! The two of You need to do more Work together. This Young Man seems to have it together for a 20 year old Man. His Parents should be very Proud. Great Show!!! Always Enjoy watching Your reaction to all this Phenomenal Music that I Grew up with. Graduated HS in 1978. I Was Blessed to Have Grown up with some of the Greatest Music of All Time.
Great reaction guys - rip the Gibb brothers legends for ever 🙏 👍👍🌟🌟🌟🌟 amazing channel 👍
G-Colo is such an amazing young man! I love his smile and energy. He is more mature and introspective than most others his age. Thanks for taking him under your wing BP.
One take, no rehearsal. That was the talent level of The Bee Gees (The Brothers Gibb).
This was done Live with one take and no autotune as it wasn't available back then. This is pure talent. All the proceeds from this song went to Unicef.
There’s hope for the youth of today, mentoring, friendships outwith your age group, experience and a willingness to listen. Such a great exuberant and infectious smile 😁 warmest wishes 🤍✨🫶🏻🏴
Pegasus, thank you for bringing the youngers to a good place - musically and morally. Your folks raised you right…and you can tell them I said so. 🤠
Beautiful song, "Remember When" by Alan Jackson
Many of the voices heard on the song are Barry’s, which he multitracked , There were three tracks of Barry on each of three parts in two octaves, so that’s eighteen tracks of Barry. Then, three tracks of the three brothers singing together. ...The recording’s complexity made it next to impossible to reproduce on stage. That's why when u see them sing it live on stage it's always in their natural voices ❤

You are wrong. I saw them perform this LIVE and it was exactly the same.

@@JeanetteFaith no I'm not wrong , what you see in this video was created exactly same way I explained it... this video was not live ...and any live show of them singing it is done in their regular voices .... .. there's no way to replicate this because it was done in the studio..

@@JeanetteFaith again you can't sing live ehat you multi tracked in a studio ..that's common sense 😂 .. u absolutely do not know more than the actual record producer Albhy Galuten .. no more needs said ...
These brothers came from a family of musicians! Their father was a drummer in the big band era and had his own band. Their mother was a singer!
Dude it's straight up live one shot one take that's it nothing run over it's their voices it's all good❤
Yes, Barry sings both Soprano and Tenor which is pretty amazing, if you listen to their older music (before Saturday Night Fever), Spirits Having Flown is a good one to hear Barry's tenor voice.
ALL THREE are in the Songwriting Hall of Fame. Barry and Robin were the main co-writers and Maurice also contributed to most songs and was the musician who put their melodies and lyrics to music. They were a team both vocally and as composers. In this song while Barry is doing the falsetto the twins are carrying the melody. All three can sing falsetto.
They wrote a song for Otis Redding, but Otis died before he could record it so Bee gees recorded it. To Love somebody.. ❤❤
You wanna see how good they were? There is a video of them on some British talk show. They pull out a couple of guitars and sing Massachusetts in full harmony with Robin singing lead. It will blow your mind.

Watch their One For All '89 Melbourne medley, as that's just Barry playing guitar with their 3 voices.
The MASTERS of Harmony! Absolutely NOBODY did it better!!! 💯💯💯💯💯
All three of them write their songs. They are inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Songwriters Hall of Fame. They wrote all their music plus music for other artist. They wrote Island In The Stream they writ over 1,000 songs
Harmonies so perfect - like if they were family!!
All three of them wrote the songs ❤ all three could sing falsetto, all three sang amazingly well on their own 😁 altogether they were extraordinary ❤️ You need to do For whom the bell tolls live outside in New York 🤩 Barry and Robin sing parts of the song 🤩 Robin had a beautiful vibrato he also sings lead in a number of songs 🤩 Maurice was a musical genius he done the arrangement on practically all their songs, he sang lead on Closer than Close and Man in the middle but preferred the song writing and arrangement. All three made the Bee Gees without one of them being there would never have worked, to do different parts of a song all three were able to change their voice for whatever they were singing! RIP Maurice, Robin and Andy Gone way too soon. They were sing in on stage at a young age Barry was 9 and the twins were 6, their sister Lesley is also a good singer but didn’t choose to do it. Practically all of their sons and daughters can also sing. The couldn’t read music they would get the melody first then get the words to fit the melody 👍🏻🤩🏴
I get goosebumps hearing this song. I was fortunate to see them performed in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia 1972. I was 18 then.
They are my favorite group! They are amazing writers!
BP, you in so much love with your wife, aren't you. It's so obvious. Lucky her and lucky you! Stay Blessed. Shout out to your nice Gen Z friend. I'm very impressed with his insightful comments and his open-minded attitude to older music than some young people would refuse to listen to. Good for him!! ❤
The one in the middle is the lead, Barry. Right is Maurice and then Robin who are twins. Such sorrow that the twins have passed and Barry is the last, even though the oldest. Yes, Barry was the main writer and producer for the group, although they all contributed.

@90% of the Bee Gees songs except the very earliest were written mainly by Robin and Barry together and Maurice was the true musician who put the lyrics and melodies to music.

75-80% of their catalog was written by 2 or more brothers, the rest by Barry. Barry's listed as the second most successful music producer, after George Martin; he's also listed as the second most successful songwriter, after Paul McCartney.
Love their music!😇Bee Gees were and still are the best!
Being a teen in the 70s to early 80s was so cool, I am so glad we had such cool music from Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin , Bee Gees, ZZ top, Boston, Aerosmith, we went to all the concerts for just a few bucks and then we got to live through the 80s and 90s music and then 2000s. Good times. Great reaction!!! I love seeing young peoples reactions to the classics.
You should listen to ALL their stuff! They are awesome. Only Barry, the lead singer, is still alive. The other two, Maurice & Robin were twins. Barry has a beautiful voice!
This is live and these guys were absolutely incredible. I can’t emphasize it enough. They had nine number one hits. !! I need to check out there early stuff words…. Gotta get a message to you…. I started a joke…. Run to me …. To love somebody…. I can go on forever.
The best Group ever ❤❤❤
The constant stank face tells it all. The look of amazement. This is one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard, with the most beautiful falsetto voices I've ever heard, as well. Excellent reaction!!!
