I remember being a kid in the 90s, going to MOM (Motion Odyssey Movie) at Jordan's Furniture. It was just a step below this. Had the water, and the fog, and the seats that moved and reacted with the film but the films were made specifically for MOM and was more of a thrill experience vs a movie going experience. Hey, we had to start somewhere. So the technology and the concept is far older than the first 4DX that opened in 2009. 4DX is the perfecting of all of this stuff. I hope more of these theaters open up around the country and the world. It's wicked fun. MOM was fun AF, but this 4DX stuff looks far better.

Gonna try this for Godzilla Vs Kong on Opening Night(November 20th) Edit: May end up trying it for The Suicide Squad on Friday in Orlando(They have a 4DX there and no spoilers please!) Edit 2: Tried for The Suicide Squad yesterday, IT WAS LIKE A RIDE THAT LASTS 2 HOURS AT UNIVERSAL STUDIOS! The movie was great to. Definetly trying this again for another movie.

Seriously, better don't buy them :D I mean, you can eat and drink them in the scenes where there's only dialogue and no effects, but depending on the movie it may be only 5-10 minutes of the whole movie :D and with all that shaking of the seat you really wish to not have eaten anything, neither during the film, nor before :D

I just watched Fast X on 4dx it was....DOOOOPE!!!😂 Wow it was a wild Ride! Only bad thing was that during the Snow scenes there wasnt and snow and the Strobe flash wasnt working... no bubles and no scent.. just moving around, wind, and water spray =/

i watched aquaman in 4DX great movie.

4DX feels great if you want to watch an action movie. I saw Infinity War and Endgame in 4DX and it’s just unbelievable. On the otherhand I watched Logan on 4DX and it was a mistake. The movie was mostly drama and the effects felt unnecessary and forced upon and I didn’t enjoy it. Hardcore action movies feel great on 4DX.

Ok honestly this feels like it would just take me out of the experience more than anything. Any gimmicks like that and I start to think about the mechanics. The moviegoing experience has been changed by the technology that goes into the film, and I'm fine if I see it in the same way people have watched film for 70 years. Besides, watching a movie isn't about experiencing a ride. It's about hearing a story.

For marvel and dc movies I think it enhances the experience so much! Fights and battles are really intense! The audience really reacts to what happens!

Projector Digital 4DX Films with Dolby Atmos formation is not described how to operate in the theatre . Very important main technical thing is missing.

The smell is so intense you can small wesley snipe's breath

The Fans make a louder sound, Sometimes you can not hear the dialogues because of the noise. And the Strobes ruin the image, when they turn on the screen becomes opaque, and if the scene is dark you can hardly see anything.

I want to watch a movie and not take a shower

Gabby Joven yes, and you really have the feeling of being in the movie. I recently had the luck to watch two movies in 4DX and it seriously has been the most intense and amazing movie experience I've ever had in my entire life (although these wasn't even the type of movie that would normally catch me!). Wow, really, I still cannot believe what I have witnessed there. It takes you 5-10 minutes to get used to it, but then you fully integrate the effects into the whole experience. There are a few thing that could be improved, sometimes some effects, especially movements aren't 100% analogue to the movie scene, but most of the effects fit really really well and aren't that obvious (some are, but most of them are not). I watched Pacific Rim 2 and the latest Lara Croft, both action movies. The more action, the more it's worth watching it in 4DX. But it's worth anyways. Would totally go watch a 4DX movie again if I had a cinema like that in my homecountry. It's worth the money.
