Good info. I already have the blaster cabinet and just need a smaller nozzle for the soda. Another trick on the air compressor is to find a dead compressor with a good tank(usually free or close) and link the 2 tanks together. It takes longer for the pump to fill them, but you get more continuous run time.

Just some thoughts.... Try a cyclonic filter. They don't block up, nearly as bad, nor as quickly....and... I have used glass bead on soft alloys, and it's extremely gentle. Just be careful to not spill it on the floor. It acts like a trillion microscopic ball bearings. Even with a good vacuum, you'll still be sliding everywhere for a week. Great video. Thanks.

As for good size compressor ? you need 60 gallon with 2 stage not single stage .. single stage compressors simply dont cut it for blasting and 5 hp minimum and you want to tweak your low side compressor turn on so it turns on when psi drops to 100 and run 120 PSI ... as long as you have a decent length from compressor to your dryer and line you might have a 20 PSI drop in line pressure before your cabinet so at your nozzle you will see 90 psi give or take do not set up your system so you got 90 PSI at the compressor because you are looking at less then 70 at your cabinet. Do not skimp on your air compressor take care of it and you will easily get 30 plus years of service.

How many CFM is your compressor?

I enjoyed this but found it lacking in tech info. 9 CFM but at what PSI? "Get a gun with small nozzle"? What is small? 1/8"? 1/4"? By simply adding little details like this you would change a good video into an excellent video. Just me. :-)

it was looking informative until you mentions "until harbor freight came out with this..." as if that could be a good thing. I get it that in order to survive extravagantly in our society, one has to cleverly evolve in ways to screw or basically cheat your customers. And that's where harbor freight comes in. I just can't buy or support junk that wont last. I rather my grand kids use the tools my grandfathers used, and for those tool manufacturers to still be around.

Harbor freight has got me through alot if projects and saved me tons. I know some of their tools aren't quality, I buy milwaukee for power, but all the little tools to help me with bearings, many more auto and even decent welding equip puts more food on my famines table. I do miss sears though.
